So sweet! The first afghan I started was a ripple afghan in 1970. It was a beautiful mix of about 9 shades of fall colors. That was when I learned to ALWAYS make note of the hook size for each project! During my cross country move, I lost the hook I was using! I picked up a hook I thought was close enough! You know how that went! Been thinking about making another one after all these years. Thank you Bonnie for your inspiration and for the walk down memory lane! You are an awesome teacher.

I love chevron anything! I just inherited a queen size single crochet blo chevron scrapghan that my great grandmother made in the 70s. She passed just before I was born so it's pretty special to me for that reason, plus the fact that it was in my parents house my whole life. So many memories! You can very well tell it's 70s because there's a lot of browns, yellows, greens, and oranges. It was made with super saver and is in great condition.

@@BonnieBayCrochet thank you for such a quick response. I’m going to try that later. Have you published a book for beginners?

How many skeins of each color are used? I think I’m missing that part.

I accidentally ended up with an extra cluster at the end of the row, would it make a huge difference? This is my first Chevron.

Bonnie, if I use #4 yarn - how many stitches would I need for a Lapghan?

    • @BonnieBayCrochet

That's hard to say due to many variables. I think a #4 yarn should be pretty close to what I used in this video. The design will be only slightly smaller.

Hello Bonnie ❤ I'm seeming to have a big gap on the valleys and can't figure out why, any advice? Thank you 💐

If it looks significantly different from the sample in the video, you many need to back it up and recount.

I really have a hard time with the combined double crochet. I cannot get it close to the last cluster of three. There is always a big gap. Can I do a 2 or 3 DC cluster instead? Thanks for your help.
