    🧶 Yarn & Hook information:
For my blanket I used Hayfield Bonus DK with a 4mm Hook in the following shades: Ladybird, Burnt Orange, Cornfield, Turquoise, Neon Blue & Electric Pink
I needed just over 1 ball of each of the colours (you might get away with one ball if your tension is tighter than mine, however I would advise getting 2 balls of each colour just in case) and I used 3 balls of the Electric Pink (including the border)
I used approximately 2,300 - 2,500 meters of DK weight yarn for the entire project
My blanket measures approximately 39 inches (99cm) wide by 48 inches (125cm) long
I chained 219 for my blanket

    🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RUclips yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

Dammit Robin! I've been crocheting since November and ever since starting, I've said how much I dislike granny stitch because I think it looks so 70s. You've just made me like it 😅 Absolutely gorgeous blanket! You're so clever to figure out new, interesting ways of using the existing stitches and techniques to make things look fresh and exciting. Plus, I love that so much of your stuff is rainbow - I also like my projects to be bright and happy and colourful. Thank you so much for another great tutorial!

This is very beautiful and you did such an amazing job with the tutorial. Your voice is clear and easy to understand, you are a thorough with the pattern demonstration and I absolutely love❤❤ that when you tell us what you expect us to do next in the pattern that you don't fast-forward your demonstration to the end point to meet us there, you continue to work at an easy to follow pace without any shortcuts, if that makes since. You take out the guesswork that I find in most tutorials, So THANK YOU !! 🎉❤ This pattern is simple but so elegant in my opinion, I just loved it

Hello Robin, when I was a young mum I taught myself to crochet from an old fashioned instruction book. I used crochet cotton and recently came across a tray cloth I had made. I was astonished at how well done it was. Unbelievable, especially since I have tried to pick up crochet again and am finding myself having to relearn even down to holding the hook and yarn. I have come across your very helpful videos and am trying the beautiful square with puffs first and trying to persevere. It's not easy. I have arthritis in my hands. When I saw this blanket I watched every bit of the video. It's fascinating and I really want to give it a go when I have managed the square. I know it will all require patience but you have a lovely way of explaining making it very easy to understand. Wish me luck and patience. Thank you.
