My husband is in hospice and during the day I crochet and then donate the blankets. Of all the tutorials, yours are not only the best instruction wise in my opinion, but your voice is so soothing for me. Thank you so much for being a positive part of this difficult journey. G-d bless.
Thank you for helping me learn at 73 I thought it was a lost cause but with your direction I made it. I know this was done 4 years ago but I still wanted to comment and thank you
i just finished a afghan for my granddaughter it is for a twin bed but i made a slight booboo i chained 300 and i was using Bernat Pipswuek stripe yarn, well it turned out to be almost 7 ft long. i though oh no, but then i had the idea to run the rows veritcal instead of horizonal, it turned out very beautiful, i am going to make 3 more afghans these are heirloom afghans for my grandchildren. plus i have a request from a family member who wants one for herself. i lovr crocheting. i taught myself almost 40 yrs ago, and have given away a lot of items to charitys and raffles, but these i am making now are my favorites. thank you very much for this style of stitch.
I am one of your "out there" audience.Thank you for taking the time to show and tell us all that we need to know about the granny ripple stitch. Thank you for making it simple and accessible for this seventy four year old. Can't wait to get started on it!
Hello from the UK .ive been following you a while. I love your tutorials. You're so great at explaining showing what to do . I have no problem doing the project's , thank you so much . Going to have to check my stash and do one of these .
I have watched three videos trying to learn how to do the ripple stitch Afghan. You are the only one who explains in detail so we don’t end up ripping out our work. Thanks for being a great teacher.
I love this pattern. Three people want me to use this pattern for afghans for them. Thanks for the tutorial. This is the third pattern that I have shared that people are like " I want one like this!"❤❤❤❤❤. Thanks for the tutorials!! Hugs.
I watched a couple of other videos on this but they waffled on and I lost track on what I should be doing. Then I found you and I could follow. I have started and it's looking good. Thank you.
Thank you for making these videos, I haven’t made a blanket in years and this one is so easy to follow. I have made many hats from your videos and now this blanket. You make it so easy and fun, I think your are great !!! Keep up the wonderful tutorials!
We all love “the granny”! I think it’s the first pattern most of us learned! A 6th grade teacher taught me in the “crochet club” after school. I made a granny square blanket for my Mom. She treasured that blanket until she passed away twenty five years later. What a wonderful feeling to give a loved one the gift of comfort and warmth!!
I started this the other day, thinking this would be a good project to start with colder weather at our back door here in Ohio. I am happy to be working this as our high was only in the mid 60's. Using white, Icelandic, med Grey, turqua and black. I will be toasty warm this winter with your help. I really enjoy your crochet and cooking vids. Happy to be hookin with you
Thank you so much. For making these videos, you are by far the easiest person to follow I have made a few things with you, other people are not so easy to follow so now I follow you. I am 72 and have been crocheting for years but still need help with patterns.
Hi ! I love your tutorials. Especially the granny projects. I donate and give as gifts. I sell nothing .YOU and I agree about chaining and keeping a neat space when skipping stitches. Ok THANK YOU AGAIN..
I just got some vintage yarn today at a church yard sale. It’s a sherbet rainbow baby yarn from K-mart with a price sticker on it for 1.47. I got 4 skeins and it was begging for such a classic old stitch as this. I’ve never done granny ripple before but have done granny before in squares or shawl’s. I’m loving this and look forward to my grandchild due in November to be wrapped in it. Thanks for your great helpful tutorial.
Thank you so very much for this tutorial! I had written instructions but couldn't make sense of them before your video! You are a great teacher! I love your calm voice and little help tips along! This is my first of yours and will definitely be watching more. Thank you again!
Ty for your easy tutorial on the granny Chevron stitch. I love Your videos. Your voice is so relaxing and your tutorials are very well taught and easy to follow. I think I shall make a baby blanket for my grandsons for starters🥰
I’m starting my fourth afghan using this pattern, an afghan with cream and two shades of green. (Of course, I’ve made others in between, including your Diamonds and Cubes and Open Diamonds.) I love granny square patterns, too, and it’s a really great basic pattern. Thank you so much! You’re the best!
Hello! I’m doing the weekly temperature blanket with Dena, Rose, Zee and others. Thanks for your excellent tutorial 💕🧶. Very easy to understand and follow. I love all your content 🥰
I appreciate this tutorial. You are at the right pace to follow and take notes as needed. Been thinking of doing this stitch and afghan for a while now. Thanks so much
I’ve done many, many granny square afghans in my life......and many, many tighter ripple afghans, too. But I’ve never combined the two, and this looks very simple and beautiful! My Mom always wanted the righter ripple pattern, and my husband did too.....because he invariably would put his TOE through one of the “holy” (😅😂) parts of my pretty afghan! What was worse, (and I have no idea how he did it 🙄) but EXACTLY where I joined either a different color yarn OR joined yarn that has run out, his toe would find that one stitch, and things would start coming apart! (Not us, the Afghan! Lol lol! 😅😂🤣). God love them, they’re both safe with The Lord now.....but I cannot WAIT to start this pattern. FOR DECORATION ONLY! Lol!😅😂🤣 Much Love and Many Prayers going out to you and your work, in Jesus’s Precious Name, Amen!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS LOVELY PATTERN.! 💜❤️💕🕊🙏😘 Can’t wait to choose my colors from what’s in my “leftovers” bag! Many are almost full skeins! I also love the fact I font have to be so careful with my counting, and can enjoy my old black and white movies while I work! TYSM AGAIN! 💕💜🕊🙏✝️✡️🙋♀️🌹
i am a ripple afghan fan. i came across this video and i love it. i am making a new afghan for myself and i am uainf yarn bee yarm, i have barguette and saltwater taffy colors, so it will go with anything. thank you for the wonderful videos.
Thank you Spider, I love your tutorial videos, I have crocheted many of your patterns, your explanation of the stitches and how to do the stitch has helped me so much. During this Covoid-19 virus your crocheting videos and your chats have saved my sanity. Huge thank you again.Cher from Australia.
Your designs are easy to follow but they’re beautiful! I love the way you teach us viewers on how to go about it, stopping every now Nd then to show the outcome and doing it in a way we can slowly follow! More design please. Would love to see some more designs for blouses.
Hi iFber Spider. Thank you for showing this pattern. I'm working on a Chevron blanket for my son right now. I really like this pattern a lot. I'll be doing this pattern next it's really gorgeous. I have been trying to learn this ripple pattern many times, from pattern, books and videos, this is the only time I get it. Your tutorial is very clear and easy to understand. Thank you very much.
Bonita labor, me encantó el ZIG ZAG y aunque habló español, observando entendí muy bien y no es tan difícil entenderte, felicidades Fiber Spider, recibe saludos desde MEXICO 💯👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I made a blanket for my friend Robin with red heart super saver. It worked up quickly, and it wasn't expensive - and I had gorgeous colors to choose from. She loved it so much!! For gifting you can't beat this pattern - you can slap out a dozen before Christmas and just change colors, stripe patterns, yarn brands or thicknesses to personalize and they will ALL look Great.
I crochet to relax and with your tutorials I have found the perfect ones to watch. Thank you soooooooo much for the pattern and the videos that you put out. Please keep up the AWESOME work. 😘💓💕
Thank you so much! Once again you helped me understand a pattern and gave me an option and at the perfect time. We are in a difficult time and I am in need of something new to do right now. You are fantastic!! Thank you so very much!! Stay safe my dear friend.
I love making items in the ripple pattern, and doing it in this granny stitch makes it go so much faster. One of the first ones I crocheted was in single crochet in a two-ply yarn. It took forever. Herschner was were I got the kit. I have also knit the ripple pattern. Most of my finished products now are for charity mostly Hospice. Thanks for all your great knitting and crocheting patterns. Have a blessed day.
Mr Spider that scarf is SO beautiful. I love the colorway 😍 I am loving granny squares too. Easy to work up and less brain wrecking. As always yhanks for sharing and may God continue to bless you. Much Love Peace and Blessings to you and your family ❤

THANK YOU!!! I do mostly love to crochet while watching TV with my husband. I want to focus on him and what we are watching/talking about, not a frustrating pattern. Your tutorial was so clear and helpful, and sets me free to leave the pattern behind! I will definitely tune in to learn more!
I tried this pattern about 6 times and couldn't get the hang of it after deciding it was a lost cause I put it aside for about a year then I happened to come across your tutorial and it all made perfect sense. THANK YOU
patty baum So glad the pattern now makes sense to you, Sometimes it just takes a little but if experience,,,which you obviously got during the past year. This is basically a Granny Stitch Blanket....with a very simple twist. I love it!
I tried 5 other tutorials before I tried yours to no avail. That second row just messed with me. Anyhow I said to myself this guy will teach me properly so that I understand! And well I’ve just gotta say thank you! I just copied your scarf example and now I’m speeding through! I appreciate you!
Fiber Spider, you always make such great tutorials that are easy to understand! I have quite a lot of yarn I've bought over the years for afghan making, and I'm going to tear into it and make some of these. I'm tired of keeping all that yarn and not doing any thing with it. I think I'll make mine a twin bed size so they will be great throws for a couch. I've been racking my brain with what pattern to use that is easy, and something I wouldn't have to constantly follow a pattern to slow me down. This is perfect. My thanks to you for the excellent demo! :-)

I made a small blanket! I love this stitch and I used my yarn leftovers so it is very colorful. Thank you again fiber spider!
Thank you so so much Fibre. I struggled for two days and could not get it right.
