My husband is in hospice and during the day I crochet and then donate the blankets. Of all the tutorials, yours are not only the best instruction wise in my opinion, but your voice is so soothing for me. Thank you so much for being a positive part of this difficult journey. G-d bless.

i just finished a afghan for my granddaughter it is for a twin bed but i made a slight booboo i chained 300 and i was using Bernat Pipswuek stripe yarn, well it turned out to be almost 7 ft long. i though oh no, but then i had the idea to run the rows veritcal instead of horizonal, it turned out very beautiful, i am going to make 3 more afghans these are heirloom afghans for my grandchildren. plus i have a request from a family member who wants one for herself. i lovr crocheting. i taught myself almost 40 yrs ago, and have given away a lot of items to charitys and raffles, but these i am making now are my favorites. thank you very much for this style of stitch.

We all love “the granny”! I think it’s the first pattern most of us learned! A 6th grade teacher taught me in the “crochet club” after school. I made a granny square blanket for my Mom. She treasured that blanket until she passed away twenty five years later. What a wonderful feeling to give a loved one the gift of comfort and warmth!!

I’ve done many, many granny square afghans in my life......and many, many tighter ripple afghans, too. But I’ve never combined the two, and this looks very simple and beautiful!
My Mom always wanted the righter ripple pattern, and my husband did too.....because he invariably would put his TOE through one of the “holy” (😅😂) parts of my pretty afghan! What was worse, (and I have no idea how he did it 🙄) but EXACTLY where I joined either a different color yarn OR joined yarn that has run out, his toe would find that one stitch, and things would start coming apart! (Not us, the Afghan! Lol lol! 😅😂🤣).
God love them, they’re both safe with The Lord now.....but I cannot WAIT to start this pattern. FOR DECORATION ONLY! Lol!😅😂🤣
Much Love and Many Prayers going out to you and your work, in Jesus’s Precious Name, Amen!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS LOVELY PATTERN.! 💜❤️💕🕊🙏😘 Can’t wait to choose my colors from what’s in my “leftovers” bag! Many are almost full skeins!
I also love the fact I font have to be so careful with my counting, and can enjoy my old black and white movies while I work! TYSM AGAIN!
    💕💜🕊🙏✝️✡️🙋‍♀️🌹

I just got some vintage yarn today at a church yard sale. It’s a sherbet rainbow baby yarn from K-mart with a price sticker on it for 1.47. I got 4 skeins and it was begging for such a classic old stitch as this. I’ve never done granny ripple before but have done granny before in squares or shawl’s. I’m loving this and look forward to my grandchild due in November to be wrapped in it. Thanks for your great helpful tutorial.

It took forever. Herschner was were I got the kit. I have also knit the ripple pattern. Most of my finished products now are for charity mostly Hospice. Fiber Spider, you always make such great tutorials that are easy to understand! I have quite a lot of yarn I've bought over the years for afghan making, and I'm going to tear into it and make some of these. I'm tired of keeping all that yarn and not doing any thing with it. I think I'll make mine a twin bed size so they will be great throws for a couch. I've been racking my brain with what pattern to use that is easy, and something I wouldn't have to constantly follow a pattern to slow me down. This is perfect. My thanks to you for the excellent demo! :-)
