Nice upgrade it seems. Definitely looked a lot smoother, with more control. I might eventually go brushless, but I'm not in a hurry. I still have a stronger brushed motor to install and play with. I got those +4mm axles from Injora, they seem really nice. I haven't installed them yet though. I figure I'll do that and the motor and servo at the same time. Thanks for another great video Adam!!!
Thanks for watching! I had a blast with my brushed motors. Still do! The brushless is completely different, but I dont dislike my brushed setups by any means. Definitely a fun project though!
It can get smoother by tunning the throttle chart. Making a Nice curve instead kind of those peaks. You can play with the dots making better power delivery. I can't wait to get it on brushless motor setup. I have not try yet, but You Will do it soon. So, I keep watching. Thank You For all these information and thoughs.
Yeah the pancake motor, working on my bronco the silver one, same set up, work still in progress ain’t ran it yet. Also switched over the frame rails to the new grasshopper chassis
Good to know, electronics is a mystery to me. I did not know you could run a brushed motor on a brushless controller. Is that a feature specific to this controller?
Wait so so don’t need to buy the 3 prong to 2 prong adapter cable? I just ordered one and was debating buying the adapter but I’d rather not. Can someone explain which 2 of the 3 you connect them to? What happens if you plug it in wrong?
I need to get v1 electronics. I am only have V2 in my JLU. Thanks for sharing! Waiting till motor install video! But i will probably go to furitek motor
@@bluezhawg2104 v1 version have black esc. V2 version have blue esc. So transmitter from v1 only work with V1 esc, same for v2. Brushless motors work only with V1 esc. So if you look under the body of a truck and you have blue esc (as i have) - you need new esc and transmitter🤷🏻♂️ to go brushless.

Hi ..!! i just got a furitec cedar motor and a hot racing transm. With over drive but it looks like i need somethimg else to mount it can you tell me wich motor mount should i use thanks or do you have a Video
The comparison haven't seen is a komodo vs smp motor. . The power is rated higher on the pancake. Can i bolt this thing up in place of a komodo with the 0.5 conversion. Is something i am wondering.
It’s coming! I have a Komodo setup on the way and plan to do a head-to-head shootout! The conversion is something you might want to email Nick over at mofo about. I’m not sure personally
Cool. Ill check it out. Honestly the komodo rocks!im interested n the power output difference. If i can just swap it on the mount ill just order a pancake as a spare! Look forward to the vid!
I got the Mofo RC SMP (nano’s big brother) for this one. However (spoiler alert) I liked it so much I bought the micro Komodo setup and it’s on its way 😬
just outta curiosity, have you by chance owned an old Losi MRC? and if so, how does that rig compare in size to the MRC? yours being wider and longer and all.
I tried lizard pro. Problems and problems... Bluetooth kept having problems, app wasn't connecting right, no forward and backward. Just problems. About to throw in trash
Yes, I have tried to reach out to them, nothing !! It just won't connect. Done everything over and over and over. I've been in the rc world for about 25 yrs. It shouldn't be this hard. Bluetooth is Bluetooth. Not sure whats up
I got Lizard pro, set to brushed setup. Motor sputters. App intermittent connection. Firmware 2.6 has no drag brake. Garbage. It may work better brushless but not impressed by furitek right now.
That’s a bummer. Maybe a faulty unit? I didn’t experience the motor sputtering or the app connection issues, but I have heard of others dealing with that.
@@CapeCrawlers Amainhobbies sent me another one and it does the exact same thing. Did yours ever cogg or sputtered? Tony from the support is no help, seems like he doesn't even want to help me.
@@CapeCrawlers Furitek got with Furitekusa and sent me a Iguana Pro (brushed only). I was wrong, their customer support is very good. I can trust Furitek brand, will look into other products from them.

Do you need a new transmitter for the ESC upgrade?
Nevermind I just saw you use a stock transmitter
I just put a brushless conversation on my scx24 jeep, I love how slow and how much control I get out of it.
It’s crazy right?!

The customization ability of the furitek app is amazing! The brushless swap will be up in a couple days!
Bro use the little black rubber bands as limiters put screws on the old shock locations to the middle of axle
Really informative video. Can't wait to see the brushless setup.
Thank you! It's coming very soon! I am almost finished with the editing and will upload it by Sunday at the latest.

Specific to the furitek esc I think. It’s got a lot of versatility and functionality!
Looks like a solid stepping stone mod. Thanks!
Yeah awesome I’ll watch for it
I’ll upload it later this week, finishing up editing as we speak!
I'd kind of like to see 3s tried out before you install the brushless , to late now . Cool video , I'm doing the same to a deadbolt .
Can the Injora 50t handle 3S? I’m not sure and I’m always hesitant to try because 3S power is such a weapon
For crawling is not a DC motor better for the low end torque?
I am fairly certain both the brushless and brushed motors for these are DC

Where can i get That one at? Ebay amazon doesn't have it
Thanks for sharing,,,,,,I'll stayed tuned
Motor install will drop later this week!
I want to go to a brushless system but I already have rear steer plugged into channel 2 is there anywhere else I can plug the furiteck system into?
Did the esc kit that you ordered come with everything you need to plug and play? I have a c10 that it's going on so I already have the v1 electronics

I think I did that. I had some app issues after the motor install and I did two firmware updates. It worked great after that

hey my Gladiator has a different esc, newer than yours. we have the "hrz00015" were do we plug in lizzard pro?
That unit isn’t compatible with the brushless setup unfortunately. That’s why I switched to the older esc here
Agree.

another awsome vid! what hole location do you have the shocks at?
I have the fronts mounted to the rear esc tray mounts, and the rears mounted two holes from the towers towards the front if that makes sense.
