One of the funny weird high protein meals O eat is cottage cheese with shredded beef, it’s odd but I love it it’s my go to when I’m super hungry. Also making fajita filling or ricotta bake and putting over some zuchini.
I always have cooked chicken, cottage cheese, string cheese, jerky, canned tuna and chicken, frozen vegetables, eggs, hard boiled eggs, and sugar free jello and pudding in my fridge. Frozen Jasmine rice from trader joes is good too.
🧡🧡🧡 Wow! Thanks for all the great information! Frozen shrimp is something I always keep on hand...You can add frozen shrimp to a quick stir fry with frozen veggies and throw it on a wrap for a 10 minute meal!
My doc has approved my titrating my dose down as far as to 2.5. Hopefully that will work for me, but I’m thinking that 5mg might be a better maintenance dose. I don’t want to lose more weight, but I want to maintain & keep my bg under control.
Excellent information! I’m not dropping lbs very fast but the inches are coming off. I’m doing all Darbys suggestions and feeling great and optimistic 🍊
I am sooo encouraged by the nuggets of truth I learned today! Thank you for your prayers and support. God bless you on your journey, Elizabeth. May He return to you a 100 fold blessing in return for your investment in others.
🍊 I do have the most appetite suppression on days 3-5 supprisingly, but I do still try to get protein, fiber and some carbs in even on those days. Minimum of 1000 calories.
Some capsule items for me as a pescatarian: canned Chickpeas, jarred Roasted Red Peppers and jarred Artichokes - you can make a tasty salad or a wrap! 🧡
🧡 Speaking for myself, this was a great interview for anyone (even if not using the injections). I have to admit, I'm a little "afraid" of integrating so many carbs into my diet (I'm maintaining now) but to each their own. 😊 I do have way more carbs than I did during my weight-loss period. Again, it was a great interview. Good luck, everyone! PS: I love the idea of a capsule pantry!
🧡 I will admit and this is just my own personal option but I’m a bit surprised to hear that her carbs are rice, potatoes and cereal as all those foods break down into sugar and will cause blood sugar spikes. Those specific items are simple carbohydrates and not complex. She however is the professional and I understand that a white potato can be baked but it’s still going to break down into a sugar. Other than that great informative video.
I do have a question for anyone. I’m on week 13. I am not hungry most of the time. Does anyone else have this issue? I don’t eat shot day. The next two days I force myself to eat twice. Then the rest of the week I don’t have to force myself to eat twice but I rarely feel hungry ever.
I feel like I was like this, but it evened after about 16 weeks or so for me. I don’t know if you’re taking vitamins for your hair, but please please do because now I am losing my hair because I did not do what I was supposed to do in the beginning and I lost weight too fast. Unfortunately, with hair loss, you won’t know until three months later. Good luck on your journey.💜
I went through that for about 3 months when I started on the 2.5 so I loved it cuz I was totally obese at 5"1. I weighed 271 and I was loosing weight like crazy on those first months. Up to 20 lbs and then after the 3rd month I started loosing just 10 lbs which is still ALOT. I will tell u though, careful with turkey neck cuz that's what happened for loosing too much at first. So make sure u get the protein shakes, collagen powder as well and u will b fine. Make sure to exercise. I wore an excercise belt that they sell at Walmart for $10 and low and behold it has worked not to have loose skin around my stomach. Have a great day my friend. Good luck! Hope this information helped
🧡I like the idea of the food capsule. I have a food capsule of sorts already for the fridge and the pantry keeping it stocked with the staples necessary to maintain my daily protein and veggie requirements. I try not to bring junk in the house so I am not tempted. I have to say I kind of disagree with Darby about eating the chips, potatoes, rices, etc. Those starchy carbs use up so much of my calorie allotment, pushing out the better proteins and complex carb foods. And I don't want to tempt myself with junk while I'm developing new strong habits and lifestyle. Instead, I use protein treats, like Ninja Creami ice cream made with protein shakes, etc. including it in my meal plan. But I do agree we need to train ourselves now with a new lifestyle/habits for future ability to maintain. Also, be good examples to our kids if we have them at home by making good food choices and demonstrating healthy eating and exercise. I would like to see a Part 2 interview with Darby. 🍊
My doctor just ordered this medication for me today so I will start it next week. I'm already doing intermittent fasting and trying to do a keto type diet. At least low carb. I'm hoping this medication will help with the carbs and sugar cravings. And I don't plan on being on it forever. So I've watched a bunch of different videos and I'm really surprised and disappointed that so many of them don't talk about eating correctly. They talk about how you can still eat all that crap. Maybe I'm wrong, but I was thinking that the medication could help you lose weight while you are gaining good eating habits. Unless you wanna be on the stuff the rest of your life why the heck do you want to start eating carbs? Especially things like potatoes and rice and chips. All you're gonna do is gain all the way back. This is really discouraging in disappointing.
This was done 4mo ago but it was just what I needed to start my Monjarvo journey. I’ve had so many fears I’m so happy to know there is some place to go for help thanks
I noticed that you started 3 wks ago, I started last Saturday 4/6 . My question is did your first dose take away your appetite immediately because it didn't for me, so of course I'm concerned. Your feedback will be appreciated 😊
@@rendayoumans2036 yes mine started the first day. I take my injection early and it was that afternoon that I noticed I hadn’t been hungry all day. By day 3 I would have some normal hunger but no cravings. My second week I used my thigh and got better control.
A capsule diet really hits home with me as that's what I've been doing lately. Eggs berries light cheese steak greens high protein yoghurt and protein bars X
Not sure if you’ll see this because I’m watching it way later than it was posted. I’m binge watching all these videos you’re posting. I’m new to all this, 5 days in new so I need all the help I can get. ❤
💥Didn't feel this was very helpful. There is a large group in individuals that have real food noise 29:36 . Shes geared toward "be mindful" of what you eat. "Use your tools" Have some Cheetos with a lettuce wrap. If we could eat mindfully and use portion control would not be on GL1 meds. This was a bit too "fluffy" for me. Not a lot really said. I'm so enjoy your postings Elizabeth. Just this one missed the mark. Thank you for your content overall.
🟠🧡🟠🧡 What an excellent video! I keep cottage cheese, eggs, Fairlife protein shakes, steak and chicken on hand. If you do another video with Darby I want to know the best way to get the protein in when I eat so little at a time. Honestly I could probably go all day without food LOL I try not to do that but ugh I hate feeling full.
R U staying on Mounjaro in order to maintain your weight loss? If so, what is the recommended maintenance mg dose in order to maintain, but not continue to lose weight. I’ve already lost close to too much weight. I’ve lost 75 lbs in 8 months. I do have type 2 diabetes, and my A1C is now below the pre-diabetic range at 5.2! I’m 5’1”, petite, and weigh 112 lbs. I need to maintain my weight loss, keep my insulin resistance and blood glucose under control while working on building muscle mass to restore some of what I’ve lost & in order to keep a healthy metabolism! Please give me advice on the above ⬆️! I will appreciate! I’m enjoying the video content now as well. Thankyou❣️
I know it will be different for everyone but we have the same frame although I weigh more than you do. I’m down almost 70 pounds in about seven months but I still have another 30 to go. My doctor said that she would probably put me on the 5 or the 7.5 for maintenance. Hope this helps!!
@@sweetnsalty4602 Thankyou very much for your response! I appreciate hearing from you while you’re on a similar journey as I am! I wish you much continued success !
🧡🍊🍘Always have eggs, cottage cheese and greek yogurt on hand. In addition to chicken and lean ground beef. I totally agree with Darby, we can't deprive ourselves of all foods that are deemed bad for us. Need to be able to learn to eat things in moderation. If you want those potato chips buy a small bag. I know for some people that is terribly difficult. Potato chips are triggering for me so I no longer buy the Party size bag, but i will have a few chips when at a party. 🧡🧡🧡
