Being a Water sprinkled donkey now your videos are like Nesamani’s Hammer Hit going straight inside my head !! Thanks @DrPal for your continuous efforts to inspire lot of people like me. Now though 100% am not into intermittent fasting am conscious about my food and water intake after sunset. Significantly feel more productive than winding myself as a lazy goose!!
I just love his interpretation of every subject. His comparison to Sharavanakumar is so humorous, that he hits the right string and sends the message home. Super Dr.Pal. appreciate your effort. So precise that we could jot those points down and do the calculations for ourselves. Thank you. Salute
Hello Dr pal Your videos are the inspiration for me to start my intermittent fasting & doing it for the past 4 months (ofcourse sometimes only sometimes skips during weekends) very detailed description easy to understand.
140 gm chicken - 38gm protein 1 egg - 6gm protein 1 cup milk - 10gm protein 1 cheese slice - 7gm protein Handful of nuts - 6gm protein 100gm kidney beans - 9gm protein
Problem with Indian food is that we have designed all our protiens as a side dish to the mains which is a mountain of carbs. The protiens are made extremely spicy so you tend to eat it sparingly. Fish curry, chicken curry, rajma masala etc. It's a challenge to eat the 1gm/kg protien if you eat curried protiens.
Another great video Pal! Looking back at my visits to my great grandma's village I remember she use to have a jug of buttermilk by her bedside to consume throughout the day. She was slim and healthy till the day she passed away at the age of 106. Technically, buttermilk is an excellent source of protein and good bacteria. Although we cannot source real buttermilk (even in India, I think) nowadays, Lassi (made from fat-free yogurt, or Fage 0% greek yogurt in my case) is excellent in three main ways - provides 10g protein per 100g/4 tbsp (mixed in a cup of water for lassi), full of good bacteria and quenches thirst/hunger ( to avoid snacking between meals).
2 queries sir 1. Is tea consumption dehydrating as coffee ? 2. which brand of whey protein powder do u suggest to take in India ? ( for including as 10% protein in our diet )
I like these videos: they are funny, informative and contain important advice for those who are on the weight loss journey or thinking about losing some weight. However, I'd say, based on my experience as well as others, that keeping your weight in a healthy range is more challenging than losing weight. People who lost weight often got there by forcing some habits like going to the gym, watching what they eat, etc. When they do this over a period of 6 months, 1 year, 2 year, they lose weight and even reach a healthy range....but once they get off the habits that they forced themselves into for weight loss, their weight starts creeping back up and within a couple of years further down the road, they find themselves back to square one ! So make sure whatever habits you inculcate, including carrying weight scale to the restaurant to weigh your biriyani or eating high-protein diet and lifting weights in gym, you are in a position to maintain those habits lifelong ! Honestly the diet part is the most important and is the hardest to maintain !! Otherwise your weight loss journey is going to be a short-lived one.

Hi Dr Pal, the 0.8 grams was arrived at pursuant to an American study, by adding two standard deviations to the average person's requirement, which means a majority of the people will do fine even with lesser intake. While it's a good thing to advocate the 0.8 grams, at least 90% people would need lesser intake. Just wanted to share this, just in case you didn't know the basis for this RDA of 0.8 grams.
Totally true. Especially with populations who have ‘adapted’ to fairly lower protein consumption (ie Indians), don’t need astronomical amounts of protein as suggested by most professionals. This is corroborated by the fact that even advanced resistance trainees here can sustain bulks and cuts on around 0.9 to 1.2g/kg intakes (indicating the apparently sufficient protein surplus over their individual RDA sustaining Lean mass).

Hello Dr I weight is 73.5kg and waist is 33 inches and hip is 44 inches .your videos inspired me to start intermittent fasting for 14 to 15hrs daily. I am taking overnight soaked channa/chole/rajma/Mung beans anyone everyday in my lunch. How much protein I should consume daily? Please guide. Thank you Swati Raval (Mumbai India)
It’s actually quite easy to get plenty of protein even if you are on a calorie restricted diet, personally I’m on 18:6 and eat twice a day and get way over the recommended dose of protein plus it has the added benefit of keeping you full for most of the time restricted period you are not eating
your words sound optimistic but in india especially for vegetarians its very challenging to meet the recommended intake of protein as the foodstyle is slanted towards extremely high carb diet. As Dr Pal mentioned, deliberately one has to do that and he has to be very conscious about taking it. If you dont mind can you share your meal plan so that it will be useful for others, pl list down only vegetarians(including eggs) foods
1.5 cup of milk and one large apple for breakfast. 350cal 2 cup rajma cooked with teaspoon spoon of ghee rice 1 cup 500cal 2 cup dal 2 chapati 500bcal. Add more salad of tomato cucumber carrots until you feel full. This is simple example of 80gram protien diet under 1600cal with vegetarian food. You need to learn cooking and counting your calories and you will not find it difficult to make meal plan. I am a married 42 year man and like to cook. And I have figured out what suits me. Dr Pal has been helping people greatly 👍
This is one video which I can share with my parents and they can relate to and laugh as well. Love the way the information is shared doctor. Please keep going strong!

Dr Pal, thank you for sharing such insights. There is a popular drink in the northern states of Bihar and UP by the name of ‘Sattu’, it is basically roasted gram flour, do you think it can be consumed as a protein drink on a daily basis?
A big fan of yours with a small request, The intentional transition between languages to make the video more appealing is good while watching a 30-50 seconds reel. Hi Dr Pal - I weigh 84kg and I’m 162cm tall. I know! 😭 Currently aiming for 80-120g protein per day. TDEE is 2100 calories and BMR is 1400. So I’ve been averaging 1500-1600 calories and 90-100g protein per day and lost 1 kg in the last two weeks. I’m in my 40s and female. I go to the gym five days a week during the week and exercise sometimes on the weekends, too. I go to the gym in the morning. I’m trying to incorporate at least a 12 hour overnight fast. I think maybe I could do 14. I’m not sure about 16 because of the gym in the morning. But we’ll see how I feel. My old boss used to do 16:8 fasting, and he exercised at lunchtime. He drank black coffee in the morning. Ugh black coffee! I did try waiting an hour after waking this morning to drink coffee. My body actually still cooperated with a bowel movement after a pint of water instead and I felt awake BEFORE my coffee. And felt less distracted. An hour staring into space and not at my phone did that. Incredible! So I’ll try that again! Thank you for your videos. 🙏🏻😊
Mam ,Fasting don't do any think total calorie deficit is what matter Just take enough protein And focous on cardio Chose exercise that you can do for longer duration like cycling, 👍
Dr. Pal your explanation about difficult things making easier is marvelous. I m sure all your patients and students must be enjoying the subject. Sincerely feel that one day you will meet Gus Fringe and he would say " Are you real or am I looking into mirror!! 😊
Thanks Dr.Pal. Good insights and motivating speech to get inspired to start the journey. I am 45 years, 71kg and 171 cm tall.Waist 94 and hip 87. please suggest the protein intake required. Thanks again.
Hi Pal, Hope you are doing well! I weigh 93kg and my waist size is 36". I take 20g pea protein powder with Stevia as sweetener per day. I am bit muscular but with fat on top. I do have kidney stones and so I'm drinking lot of water to avoid stones through protein powder. How much protein should I consume to reduce fat and retain muscle? Thanks & Regards, Vishaal
Dr Paul, i have been following your RUclips for quite some time. I really appreciate the way you're explaining about health. Since this video is about protein, i would like ask you to give recommend some plant based which has probiotic and can be digested easily. Since I have gastric issues I don't like to prefer either milk based or meat based protein. Could you please suggest some?
Hi Dr Pal, thank you for the wonderful video, I had fatty lever disease 2 months ago, i had almost nil physical activity and even my hba1c has was 6.2. i started seeing you videos and it has educated me alot about the diest and circadian cycle. I have become a big fan of you. I have lost almost 5 kg since than. ( was 72 kg) now i am 67 and have a belly size of 89 cm. Do i need to lose more weight please advise..
Sir, I am really thankful for all information and enjoy the way you depict. I am a diabetic for over 20 years with problem of albumin leakage in urine. Is there any restriction for protein intake?
Dr. Pal - I weigh 157 lbs and 96 cm waist. Your videos are an eye opener. Learning to fast. Please let me know what shd be my protein intake. Also if you can recommend over the counter protein powders for reference will help. Need to lose 15 lbs.
So I've been working out from September and lost around 21 kgs (in 9 months) - current weight is 62 and I'm working towards 44 - 46 kgs (I'm 4'8 so that's a very realistic target). I usually take around 120 g protein a day ( from 400g chicken and 2 egg whites) after which I add fibre and a lil carbs to the tune that the calorie intake is around 1200 per day. Don't really think this diet is feasible if I try veg sources of protein though since the calorie intake for the same amount of protein will be a lot higher Also have thyroid issues so at 1200 calories, I'm just at a deficit where I lose 1 kg in 1 - 1.5 weeks
Before 62Kg and then 44-46kg you lost weight because of diabeties? or just to achieve slim body? even your height is not much but i guess 44Kg would be underweight somewhat in range of 50-54Kg with healthy muscle mass should work
Dr.Pal - Thank you for your service. Your videos are really helping and motivating to us !!! Could you please talk about vitamin supplements ? (fish oil supplements, Calcium, Vitamin D, etc..)

Hello sir.. I'm vegetarian with 100kgs of weight and wanted to reduce weight.. as per the formula given its 100gram of protein... So can u suggest alternative ways to increase my protein intake... Thanks
For years, I battled with unwanted weight gain. I just couldn't seem to lose those extra calories no matter how much I exercised. But I finally realized that it was my diet which is the main culprit because I was not consuming enough protein and fiber while constantly eating snacks that contained sugar and lots of palm oil which left me craving that for more. Then, I discovered a game-changer, Alpino Rolled Oats and it's peanut butter. This combo is a dream, it's packed with high protein to keep me feeling full and help me build muscle, plus tons of fiber to maintain my weight. But the best part is this is unbelievably delicious! No boring protein shakes or bland oatmeal for me. Alpino Oats and peanut butter satisfy my cravings without any added sugar. It's the perfect solution for anyone looking to lose weight without sacrificing taste.

All our vegetarian Indian diets are having Protiens like idli and dosa had Dal in the batter, and usually eaten with chutney and Sambhar…dal chawal, khichadi, roti and dal, kadhi chawal, khaman dhokla etc…we have to control our oils and portions of rice and rotis…
😂😂😂😂
What a Comedy
Idli and Dosa are Simple Carbs With Just 1 gram
Awesome information doctor, your way of explaining the topic is just amazing.
Hello Dr
I weight is 73.5kg and waist is 33 inches and hip is 44 inches .your videos inspired me to start intermittent fasting for 14 to 15hrs daily.
I am taking overnight soaked channa/chole/rajma/Mung beans anyone everyday in my lunch.
How much protein I should consume daily?
Please guide.
Thank you
Swati Raval (Mumbai India)
What your height
How explain 😊
1.5 cup of milk and one large apple for breakfast. 350cal
2 cup rajma cooked with teaspoon spoon of ghee rice 1 cup 500cal
2 cup dal 2 chapati 500bcal.
It means I can beat the crap outta you with that diet
This is one video which I can share with my parents and they can relate to and laugh as well. Love the way the information is shared doctor. Please keep going strong!
Thanks for sharing!!
1.6666Rs for 1 gram of Protien
Amul high protien chaas and lassi gives 15grams for 25Rs
It has 0.1 : 4 : 7.5 fat to carbs to protien ratio 🔥🔥🔥
Not Enough
0.8 grams Needed
I grew up in a very primitive, wild, and challenging environment. Every day, people bullied me because of my looks. I had only a few friends, and I treated them poorly because I was unhappy. I directed my aggression and negative emotions toward them, losi
Thanks a lot doctor for enlightening us on our protein intake.Hats off to your sense of humor.
Dr Pal, are carbs essential for the body ? What are your thoughts on a low carb diet (~ 100 grams/day)
Dr Pal, thank you for sharing such insights. There is a popular drink in the northern states of Bihar and UP by the name of ‘Sattu’, it is basically roasted gram flour, do you think it can be consumed as a protein drink on a daily basis?
A big fan of yours with a small request,
The intentional transition between languages to make the video more appealing is good while watching a 30-50 seconds reel.
While discussing health in depth, I believe it is more important that your audience understands the message and that can't happen if the rhythm keeps breaking.
Unless the content is intended for a limited audience only.

Thank You Doctor Pal.. you definitely live up to the name 'Pal' aka Friend... Peter Parker is your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman. You are our friendly neighbourhood Doctor even though we live in India, thanks to RUclips.
Our world needs more people like you. Stay blessed and hope you continue the good work that you are doing.
Much respect and admiration to you.

Mam ,Fasting don't do any think total calorie deficit is what matter
Just take enough protein
And focous on cardio
Chose exercise that you can do for longer duration like cycling, 👍
Waist 94…. WTF
Mr. Palaniyappan is mind-blowingly humorous 😅
Thanks a lot Dr Pal , humble request to arrange sessions for North Indians as well .
Hi Pal,
Hope you are doing well!
Thanks & Regards,
Vishaal

Dr Paul, i have been following your RUclips for quite some time. I really appreciate the way you're explaining about health. Since this video is about protein, i would like ask you to give recommend some plant based which has probiotic and can be digested easily. Since I have gastric issues I don't like to prefer either milk based or meat based protein. Could you please suggest some?
Please add summary of important points at the end of the video

Dr. Pal - I weigh 157 lbs and 96 cm waist. Your videos are an eye opener. Learning to fast. Please let me know what shd be my protein intake. Also if you can recommend over the counter protein powders for reference will help. Need to lose 15 lbs.
Okay. *So why did Elon Mask buy twitter?* 😂😂😂
Don't really think this diet is feasible if I try veg sources of protein though since the calorie intake for the same amount of protein will be a lot higher
Also have thyroid issues so at 1200 calories, I'm just at a deficit where I lose 1 kg in 1 - 1.5 weeks
Male or female??
Before 62Kg and then 44-46kg you lost weight because of diabeties? or just to achieve slim body? even your height is not much but i guess 44Kg would be underweight somewhat in range of 50-54Kg with healthy muscle mass should work
Doctor please suggest me a protiene powder please
I am a student i don't have much knowledge 🙌🏻👉🏻👈🏻

Food wisdom in a humorous ways ❤
Hi doctor. Thanks for ur videos. Could u pls post a video about gastric patients food diet like which food can reduce their problem etc,,,
