tThe Queen of Blues unique, inimitable, unrepeatable. A total force of nature, pure soul, electric energy. There will never be a singer like Janis, surely there are many better ones, with much better voice or technique but still never another like her. The best and most visceral and powerful. Janis , star will shine forever. Thanks for choose the best and for your fresh and honest reaction. Keep on rocking beauty ❤ Greetings from Barcelona
Do please consider reviewing another of her songs: "Farewell Song" from the album, "Live at Winterland '68" by Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin. Thank you.
The Pearl album from which you got ' Cry Baby ' was only finished by her band after her death. She was just beginning to grow as a singer. The album's producer, Paul Rothchild was working with her to go a little more sparingly on her full power in order to reduce the wear on her vocal cords. Her singing had taken on an artistry she hadn't bothered to cultivate before. Some good Joplin tunes to check out are 'Maybe' ( live on the Ed Sullivan show ), Me and Bobby McGee '( from the Pearl album ) ' All is loneliness ' ( a VERY early live performance from the " lost tapes " I think it's live at the Avalon ballroom in the Summer of 1966. At any rate it's available on youtube . ) Love your dog too. It seems like she'd eat your camera if you didn't constantly give her snacks. Great channel !
Garnet Mimms was the first to cover this song several years earlier. It is interesting to contrast the 2 versions. Janis not only rearranged it, but changed the lyrics (as was her usual habit) to give it a whole different feel. Yeah, real emotion instead of forced or imitation.
The two pieces by Janis Joplin that I think you have to react to are: Ball and Chain ruclips.net/video/X1zFnyEe3nE/видео.html and Summertime: ruclips.net/video/bn5TNqjuHiU/видео.html
I was in high school, they called us stoners 😂 no one like her. Now you said nobody sings like this anymore ,well hold on to hat young lady there is a singer I'd like for you to check out Angelina jordan, the Barefoot Princess 👣 inspired by Billy holiday at the age of 2 years old, child prodigy is born. She just turned 18 very humble, perfoms Barefoot to remind people of the less fortunate kids. Check out Bad valentine by Angelina jordan and Toby Gad you will want to jump in the rabbit hole ❤❤love you reactions I will subscribe if you check out Angelina jordan thank you,
Poor Janis, she was bullied by some bad people of her hometown. But she reached the international spotlight and they live in the trashin' city of Port Arthur
Oop. You found Janis. Welcome to the golden age lol. Keep on going down this rabbit hole. Eventually you'll stumble across Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States" and the rest will be history. Let me known when you start a commune. I'll stop by and check it out.
Great reaction. I loved how you started rocking with it....literally. Awesome song
THANK YOU, LOVE JANIS JOPLIN AND BOZ SCAGGS.
The one and only. Never gonna be another. So glad I was alive to hear Janis sing.
The best woman singer🤘
Beautiful reaction. Blues artists didn't care about their looks or hitting every note. All they wanted was to make you feel the music
Absolutely my favorite female artist of all time this is almost sixty years old and still better than what they put out today with their auto tune
Janis was one of a kind. 😊
Legend's never Die !!!!! 🤷✌️❤️
Summertime live 69' cover of hers is amazing
Janis Joplin was a different kind of talent.

"Get it while you can."
She's the original, one of a kind. Fun fact, I grew up less than a mile from where she grew up, and I'm in her driveway typing this Comment.

Yeah she is part of the "27 club" a group of great artist that all died way to young.
You think she's a powerful presence in the studio, you should definitely check out her live performances. That presence goes up 10 fold on stage.
9k subs!!! Like & Comment for the algorithm!! 💪😎
Try otep's my confession. Different emotion, but damn, it is there.
Current artist with incredible emotional intensity? 2 words...Beth Hart. Try 'Am I the One' live at Paradiso.
