But if there were solos on there they would probably have to cut a song, since the reason the solos were left out was because the songs were too long with the solos included.

i have always said that this song and maybe the whole st anger album would sond better live cuz the drums are set for old school metallica tuning and sound. they should re do st anger.
its actually a fail to put an gibson x-plorer to play drop-C this song... maybe from gibson, i would rather using an SG with standard pickups; or from other brands, to downtune I would choose a Jackson or a BC Rich....
