Seriously. The bass through this whole DVD is just amazing. Those Sadowsky basses (especially in the hands of a competent bass player such as Jason) have so much juevos ranchoros its freakish.
People may argue who the best bassist is for Metallica but no doubt that Jason gave everything each night while he was in. This is my favorite version of these songs because of his power and mastery on the bass. Amazing guy.
I never liked how Jason played those songs. He is a great bass player but he played with a pick and for Cliff songs, that didn't work for me. I enjoy Roberts playing more because it just sounds like Metallica. Love the 90's stuff so no hate against Jason
All 3 were excellent and served their purposes in their own way. Jason was unstoppable in his time with the band. Rob is an incredible performer and has style and technique for days. Cliff was the true spirit of their early material though. He was just another level.
Damn, those dbass chops are sweet. You can't argue how great Lars was during this concert. If anything, he was better than his band mates during this tour.
I dont fucking care what the specialist thinks about Lars Ulrich not is the great drummer but the way the performer and smash the drums, and feel the song interactive with crowd, at the end thats is the important great performer
I was so shocked to see Cunning Stunt when I first saw it on my VHS back in 1999. Of course Liveshit is great too but as I saw this performance first, the impact was bigger on me. Sounds clear and very tight.
whoa jason was on fire! also james' voice was on par here great to hear. and creeping death is my fav song currently along with unforgiven. Long live 'tallica.
My high school friend kept telling me about this awesome band, called Metallica. He gave me this VHS tape to borrow, and I instantly became a life long fan. This song in particular is the song I look forward to the most at their concerts, because of this performance. I just imagine Hetfield doing his riff...and sing Jason's back up vocals, even thougb he's no lonnger there. Nothing beats metallica!
Metallica is not the same without Jason. He is the best on live shows, he allways give to the crowd what they need A LOT OF HEART! Rob will never be as good as him.
On the Justice tour they carried out the middle break (Die...) for like 5 minutes, haha. It's quite a sight seeing an entire arena chanting Die for that long. A testament to the power of Metallica, especially at their peak.
awesom video! Great qualitiy! awesom cameramans working! I like how metallica looks in the middle of 90s. James is great. Kirk too. one of the best group in history and one of the best music video in history!!
I agree, Seattle 89' live shit binge pure was the best show I've seen metallica do. Lars had so much energy. Kirk James and Jason just put on a show for history
my favorite song by Metallica is Motorbreath... Another one of my favorites i got are Wasting My Hate, King Nothing, Outlaw Torn, Creeping Death, Escape, Hit The Lights, Hell I can listen to almost every Metallica album from front to back... lol
Jason is the definition of metal. What a legend.
Yes! The definition of metal!
He’s a true entertainer.
Absolutely
Yeeeeaahhh 🤘🏻🔥
You can really tell when a band is into it.
So much better with Jason.
donangry you got the right man
Just because of the, “DIE DIE DIE MUTHA FUCKA DIEEEEEEEEE!”
Fuckin yeah
Epic comment.
Seriously. The bass through this whole DVD is just amazing. Those Sadowsky basses (especially in the hands of a competent bass player such as Jason) have so much juevos ranchoros its freakish.

themanwithamission the best part with Jason is when he says "Muthafu
The golden era of Metallica for sure. I don't think anything can beat Seattle 1989 though. Jason embodied what Metallica is about - a live band.
I never liked how Jason played those songs. He is a great bass player but he played with a pick and for Cliff songs, that didn't work for me. I enjoy Roberts playing more because it just sounds like Metallica. Love the 90's stuff so no hate against Jason
newsted was a hell of a bassist
he focking left the band!! ;)
and back up vocalist 👊🔥
@@corbetcreyThey didn't deserve him.
I love how he lets Jason sing the chorus at 4:24. He really puts his heart into it.
There is the Blackened Cunning Stunts.
He usually did.
Jason’s sound makes this so unique. Forgot how good this song was
Reminds me of Lemmy
One of my favourite tracks cos of his vocals.
I miss newsted
Yeah, me too.
Robert Johnson Me too, Robert. Me too.
In my humble opinion, that's the greatest version of creeping death ever.
They play it WAY TOO FAST nowadays.
totally agreed
Yeah they hell rush it now
I like Mexico 1993 best
Moscow 91
Agreed! Faster does not equal better.
Jason has such an amazing voice
Great bassist too.
I love rob and cliff but Metallica with Jason is real Metallica!
Jason I think is better than rob but it would take a miracle to be better than Cliff
American Bassist Rob is better than Jason!
His backing vocals will meet me at the gates of heaven... Or hell...either way Iwill be dead and happy hear newstead scream die
All 3 were excellent and served their purposes in their own way. Jason was unstoppable in his time with the band. Rob is an incredible performer and has style and technique for days. Cliff was the true spirit of their early material though. He was just another level.
JASON WAS THE BEST LIVE BASSIST MTALLICA HAD
Newsted the best
+Pavel Bogdan Newsted the beAst
Jason brings so much damn ENERGY!!!! Incredible.
Jason's backing vocals. Ugh. Just bring him back already.
Metallica's BEST SONG!!!!! Love some Creeping Death.
This and Metallica&Symphony are their very very very best performances at all levels and from all band members
Correct... This was their peak
When you feel useless just remember, there is mic for Kirk
there is no "kirk mic", James and Jason use them all as they run around the stage ;)
@@JuanPabloContrerasC really you ruined the moment man 😶😐😒
Bass is loud asf on Cunning Stunts. Probably the loudest Newsted has ever sounded. Sounds louder than Cliff did after Kill em all.
Coltallic listen to concerts '93 to 94. Then come back here.
Coltallic you are either insane or know nothing about talent.
S Biggs since when does how loud a bass is = talent? he's talking about how loud the bass is, not who's a better bass player
@@sbiegs3885 i mean Jason is the best metallica bassist.
Bass wasn't this loud on the original vhs
Agreed. People went to Metallica concerts not just for the other three, but for Jason. He was a really special part of Metallica for a long time...
Damn, those dbass chops are sweet. You can't argue how great Lars was during this concert. If anything, he was better than his band mates during this tour.
he was also high on coke
I dont fucking care what the specialist thinks about Lars Ulrich not is the great drummer but the way the performer and smash the drums, and feel the song interactive with crowd, at the end thats is the important great performer
i miss Jason.....
I do. But Rob is better. And Jason vocals... :/
Me too.
Mrcloc how is Rob better? Because he plays with his fingers ?Because Jaymz said he plays like Cliff in 'Some Kind of Monster'?
Same! 10 years later...
Cunning stunts is one of the coolest DVDs of metallica !
This song gives the biggest eargasm ever!
what an adrenaline rush!!
I dont give a fuck a fuck about their hair or nails, their music is what matter
And their music is fucking great.
Johnny Dudeson no it sucks ass
Best version of Creeping Death ever. Can't get heavier and more agressive than that. On point.
Felipe Marks woodstock 99 😉
Alex Guerra Seattle '89 beats everything.
Mexico City 1993 kills this
Felipe Marks Seattle 1989
Seattle 89.... just watch it
Short intro Creeping Death with Pyro just hits different 🤘🏻🤘🏻
4:23 The Sweet Voice of Destruction...
Jason is awesome!! I like how he was always pumped
I love Jason's vocals on the "GO!!! ...let my people go" part... C'mon, Trujillo, you should try it too!
the production on cunning stunts is flawless
Kirk looks like Chris Cornell from Soundgarden with short hair. both play like gods though... no pun intended.
The Led Zeppelin of our generation! Absolutely incredible.
Best version by Far. Jason was the backbone to this song, Yes I know Cliff was around when it was written but I think Cliff would Aprove.
my goodness!!! those double bass beats,,,,,,freakin awesome!!!!!!!
Jason had such intensity when he was playing like the music was inside him
I was so shocked to see Cunning Stunt when I first saw it on my VHS back in 1999. Of course Liveshit is great too but as I saw this performance first, the impact was bigger on me. Sounds clear and very tight.
This is Metallica at their best!(performance wise) Great concert!
One of my favourite performances of creeping death, cunning stunts is a great concert!
I fell in love with this metallica when I was 13 and this, for me, is their prime
whoa jason was on fire!
also james' voice was on par here great to hear.
and creeping death is my fav song currently along with unforgiven.
Long live 'tallica.
0:16 I WAS FUCKING SCARED.
А представь как люди на концерте обосрались
+Илья Гудовичев эх.. даа, там было реально круто
Я тоже чуть не пересрал
Same tho ;-;
This is one of the few bands that can turn somebody's house into a metal concert.
Seventy thumbs way up
I think every creeping dead live performanec is PERFECT.
I started waiting for Jason to sing as soon as I click the vid
Jason and cliff are my favorite bass players
I went too a concert on this tour, fucking incredible! The best Ive ever seen.
My high school friend kept telling me about this awesome band, called Metallica. He gave me this VHS tape to borrow, and I instantly became a life long fan. 3:33 Jason scared me here...
So let it be written, let it be done! Jason´s voice
This is my favorite version of this song

просто КЛАССИКА!!!!!
Да-с!
Man this song is even better with pyrotechnics! And Jason's vocals are fucking immense! :D
%😅😊😊
😊😊😊😊😊
Best breakdown ever.
just bought the dvd, its freaking awsome!!! \m/ \m/
Listening to this performance, i am puzzled as to why people say that Lars is bad at double bass. He is the opposite(at least was)
multiestonian yeah, WAS
People say lars bad at double bass refers to what he did live from 2003-now.
1986-1999 he was great beast
back when Lars still great
And Kirk
Gotta love the slide into the break, haha. Such an epci song.
this RCOKS one of metallica best live songs ever made
metallica ROCK FOR LIFE
They need newsted back
I miss Jason.....
one of the best creeping death versions in my opinion
On the Justice tour they carried out the middle break (Die...) for like 5 minutes, haha. It's quite a sight seeing an entire arena chanting Die for that long. A testament to the power of Metallica, especially at their peak.
rob trujillo 5:29
Should've stayed Jason.
this dvd is just freaking awesome
James`guitar is something i want for christmas :P
Who da the scrawny kid running across the stage with a guitar? Oh, wait...that's Kirk!
Best version ever
nice guitar artwork on James' guitar....AWSOME i love it :D
This was the first time I heard this song on the Cunning Stunts vid. Proper chone!
Good sound quality. THUMB UP!
i cant get enough of this song
awesom video!
Metallica just kicks ass. They've made my favorite albums of all time. My favorite band was AC/DC until I heard Metallica.
just amazing
Kirk Hammett,+ Esp "Spyder" Eclipse, + EMB Audio Remote Wah = Orgasmically Sick !!!!
cliff, jason, and rob are all great bassists with their own style. who gives a fuck how they play? they all made amazing contributions to metallica.
Fn nice camera shots and nice quality!!! CREEPING DEATH!!!
i got this dvd ^^
i love it^^
no way, you are so brilliant i bet nobody ever thought of that !
why do i luv MetallicA so much :`)

my favorite song by Metallica is Motorbreath... Another one of my favorites i got are Wasting My Hate, King Nothing, Outlaw Torn, Creeping Death, Escape, Hit The Lights, Hell I can listen to almost every Metallica album from front to back... lol
