man i kept hearing the printer thinking wtf is going on with the audio, figured it out like a minute right before it was mentioned. Nice build btw! I dont have a crawler yet and this is looking tempting.
Remember to line up your u-joints so they are in phase with the one at the other end of the shaft. It am not matter so much on the tiny trucks but will help make the wheel drive smoother. P.S. best knife ever!
I have the same system and I get quite a bit of motor stall out (cogging) over steep obstacles. The low crawling gears helped that a lot. I also don't care for the lack of smooth speed control over obstacles with the higher gearing.
I did this with the new Cedar motor and stock gearing. But it was clogging like crazy! I hated it for crawling. I’ll try the crawler gears to see if I will be satisfied with that. Otherwise I’ll stick with an INJORA motor or maybe this setup with the micro komodo will work. I’ll keep watching! Link for the electric driver?
Exciting to see how slow this little outrunners can turn without cogging especially being sensorless...do you have any comparison on runtime between brushed/brushless setup?
I would suggest adjusting the throttle curve slightly and turn down your start up power to low I had seen recently where @exocaged suggested that and it definitely helps with the slow speed jump to running hope this helps !
I just buy the Komodo installed on the Stellar transmission. Then you get it fully assembled. It's the only way I offer them because it's easy and works well www.ccxrc.com/product-page/copy-of-furitek-micro-komodo-brushless-outrunner-motor-for-scx24
it would be interesting to see it with the low gear set. I think it'd also be interesting to see it with the brushless, & the high gear set. obviously wouldn't b any good for crawling, but it'd b smoken fast!
Will that tire glue last especially with that much torque when utilizing the higher speeds to hop rocks or hit the tail? Noticed a big performance increase with the Furitech electronics. 👍
Like others have said adjusting the throttle curve will help if that radio has that option or use the flysky GT5 etc. I just wish the furytek stuff wasn't so expensive here in Canada. It is way over 200?$ for a good setup. That's a bit much considering what I already have tied up in it already. Lol. We are talking price of a 1/8th arrma ..lol
New to RC and definitely interested in going brushless on my trx4m. Question though... I have the stock transmitter and receiver (first rc so I dont have a tqi laying around), what would be the cheapest way to get that brushless setup to work? Will any 2 channel transmitter and receiver work?
I don’t usually speed test crawlers. I didn’t take the time for this one either. For me it just matters about wheel speed for crawling and it has plenty
I got it from Furitek to test before they were released. I now sell their products in my online store. www.ccxrc.com/product-page/furitek-micro-komodo-brushless-motor-with-11t-brass-pinion-fits-t-word-4m
This isn't a kit, you have to buy the motor ($40) and the ESC ($80) then you have to buy the receiver separate ($44). Furitek sells a transmitter ($120) for use with their micro receivers, they also have a transmitter/micro receiver combo for $150. The Furitek transmitters look kinda low quality to me, but some RUclipsrs seem to like them. Another inexpensive option would be a Flysky GT5 then you need a AFHDS 2A micro receiver.
My new furitek stinger system, bearings, and gears are arriving today. Can’t wait to install it all

I have used the clear gorilla tape for a couple years now.... it works great!
Here is how I remember- 1 to turn and 2 to burn lol
Ah yes, a true man of culture I see
@@08KoolBoyI was gonna comment the same. That’s how I always remember 👍
That gorilla tape is awesome! Also I love the pro x’s! Especially after they get broken in.. but that’s most tires!
I might have to look into making one of my TRX4Ms brushless. I just ordered a second one. LOL
Please show a video with the low range gears I stalled and on 2s and 3 s as well please.

Let’s see the low end gears for fun🎉
Nice build. Can you do this same set up with the FMS FCX18 LC80?
Yes that is what I use now for servo tape. It might even b better

I need a Komodo for my Scythe V1 chassis kit...Debating on what to do with transmission, thinking about giving the Mofo RC billet a go.

@@CCxRC didn’t realize someone had the combo for sale. I ordered myself one and a ESC for the Scythe chassis I got

Try turning the punch setting down to 1 or 2 first then try and playing with the throttle curve on the app.
I think it would be smoother with the crawling gears. Still seems to lunge a bit when giving it more throttle.
Hey Tony what electric screwdriver are u using looks pretty fast 😎👍🔥🔥
Just a thought.
They make brushless Motors for the Kyosho miniz platform.
I have one…just no time to install it
@@CCxRC I hear that.
With a full time job and a school age child it's tough for me to get to work out in my little workplace.
Deets on the electric screwdriver - my hands will love you😂
Your statement sounds like it comes from a Massage parlor worker. 😮

When they ship, they should have brass or steel pinions
Seems like the punch is turned up to high. I like this setup. Made me not so scared of upgraded these little rigs.
Awesome video! Question, is the Avatar in that configuration water proof? Is there a water proof version that would compliment the Ultimate ESC?

I get it Andy. That does make it pricey.
I have 3 of them so far at 200 cad a pop. I feel ya. Going to need to wait a little for the 4th one
all the proprietary spares and upgrades are overpriced for this unfortunately.i bet there are some good lower priced setups yet to be discovered.
also congrats to pablo on 1k views....lol
I had to leave that Easter egg in there
Great video bud looking good nice jeep

Name of that electric tool you were using? Getting sick of using my full size dewalt😂
This is the screw driver. It’s great amzn.to/3HI8Ajz
@@CCxRC thank you
Super cool Tony
Can you run that motor with the stock exs ?
What tool is that you are using
any updates on the throttle control and touchiness?
After change the ESC the light kit working with the new ESC or not??????
?
????????????
????????
@@tonyborg6918 ??????
When will the scx24 wall hanger be back in stock?😅
it is now.
That is the single loudest electric screw driver in the world. 😂
Just got mine installed. Are the screws supposed to go through the the black mounting plate and make contact with the red/silver plate as well?
can this be used with the fast gears ? would make it faster ?
Definitely. It would make it pretty quick
I have that same combo where did you get the motor plate so I can install this? I need to order it ASAP! PLEASE
FlubberRC has the adapter plate
Flubber RC makes one for this motor and the larger Komodo. This one ships with the plate from Furitek
Thank you.
how fast would it be with the HS gears? faster than stock motor?
Is there a place to install the lights from traxxas
I have a fly sky gt3b and gr3e rx and was wondering if furitek has a motor and ecm that could* work with what I have currently? Thx!
I want a 1/18 scaled K10!
hello is furitek waterproof?
TRX 4M was screaming for Furitek so badly
Let’s see low range gear please !!
Why is that motor spinning like that? Is that something new?
It's called an outrunner, they're not that new but less common in cars
You might have said it to n the video but where did you get this motor for it from???

You running it in 2 or 3s?
Only on 2s so far
the wires are twisted to reduce unwanted rf / radio electronic interference
Does this kit come with a receiver? What’s a cheap transmitter/ I can buy that pairs with this furitek?

What is that tool used throughout the video?
amzn.to/3HI8Ajz
Can l install this motor on the stock ESC?
No. It requires a brushless capable ESC
fast eddy is the goat for bearings.
They make great bearings
Why does my same setup cog so bad
Be carefull idk if that gorilla tape is the permanent one or not but it will tear up whatever you trying to pull it off
It’s more like a putty…like servo tape
I was using ear buds and whatever you have running in the background is Really ANNOYING! Otherwise I really enjoyed the show ☺
I can hear a 3d printer
You got it! My printers were running non-stop for a while
Great video my friend! I’m sold I think I’ll do the same!
