Just did everything you did to mine. I’m having some issues. I have the same setup as you. Can you tell me what spot on the receiver you plugged the esc into? And the servo? I plugged them both into channel 1 spot and I have no throttle. When I turn left or night it works but also accelerates
From what I understand you would need to get the TQ receiver to work with the stock TQ radio. I had on hand a TQI receiver therefore I had to use a TQI controller that I had also.
@@jmacsgarage thanks for the info! I have a TQI controller as well but I use it for my xmaxx. Will I be able to switch it back and forth between my defender and xmaxx?
I'm glad u posted this video I thought I'd have to buy a furitek controller too you saved me alot of money
I spy some parts on the back of that bench haha
You know it!
Thank you, I needed to know if I could use the TQI remote
Lose the dopey rubber strap, replace with heavy duty hook-n-loop, on batt and tray. It works great...
Thank you

Is this the kit that can make the trx-4m go 20 mph ? With speed gears
I know it’s way faster than it needs to be even with the stock gears. It will pull wheelies pretty easy.
Is this with the stock gears, or crawl gears?
All stock gears
What esc is that?
I guess I bought the wrong thing. I just have the motor and power switch. No esc. I bought the stinger kit
Can we use the stock traxxas controller if we use that traxxas transmitter?

Is it still waterproof
Nope
I know first hand because my son put one of the trucks in a kiddy pool and the esc lost reverse. Motor was ok.
