That's a beauty! Also, I've had good luck with Tatu batts. The wheel nuts i always threadlock. Some guys use a small rubber O-ring. Those tires look tough! Never had those ones.
@@melmskilemz6307 the Tarantula is so much fun with the Fat Viper. I am truly amazed with that system. Please subscribe if you haven’t. More content to come!
Hello. I’ve been building a ir40 with all the same parts. Can you recommend a 2s or 3s battery And charger setup? Also curious how you wired the light bar with the Injora esc ?? Thank you for your help Great channel 🙏
@@johnmirth5333 I actually just had to reposition it and it works great. There’s definitely a “sweet spot” the pinion needs to be in. I didn’t have to grind anything.
I remember the other video on yt show that after you open the transimission to put some grease in the gear then dont screw all the way, then power up the system and pull the thr just lil bit, after you saw everything nice in place, then screw everything tight…. That will solve the problem. Hope this helps.
Watched your whole series while building my Tarantula. Great job and really insightful. Thanks for taking the to put these vids together.
@@wowshadowsedge no problem I am enjoying doing it
I'm running 1.3 brass rims with XHX Pin tires on dry rock and they are amazing. Rain season is coming, time to get some cling rubber
@@luispradoalonso8329 I really love the swamp claws. Cling ons are really good too.

Thanks! Love the 1.3’s on this thing!
Thanks I will have the fat viper on Monday so great video for me 🤘✌️
It is awesome! It’s the 2000kv. I’ve got the 2400kv and might change it out one day. Let me know how your installation goes!
@@ManicRC sure will I’ll make a video and post it

Seen in another video you got a grind down the top of the gear on the fat viper

I'm not big on super-flex, i think that thing has just the right amount.
... glide that wheel over the hole!
Nice build!

Will this build caught torque twist Sir?
Virtually no torque twist on it.
Do you have a picture of the “just right” pinion gear position? Going to be installing a Fat Viper in 3 rigs soon.
@@lukewaggoner5533 I’m sorry I didn’t. It was 1-2 mm from bottom of shaft
@@ManicRC perfect! I can use that. Thank you!
@@lukewaggoner5533 I just adjusted, put cover on, and turned and felt for click. Watch out for that grub screw if you go too high up.
