In addition to not wanting to spend 50-100% of the initial cost of my mini on a brushless upgrade, the biggest obstacle is having to switch from my stock receiver/ESC to a receiver to pair with the new brushless ESC. I'd like to switch my mini over to my Spektrum radio, but don't know of any micro receivers for it. I know that most people don't care about interiors, but my build has a full interior and full-depth pickup bed. I don't see keeping that with any of the brushless setups.
I think it's doable with the right setup. My one WT Micro truck (small to begin with) has an interior with a MOFO RC brushless setup. I'm using a flysky gt5 remote with micro recievers. I understand about wanting to switch remotes, it took me months before I finally got one.
I've managed to include a fair bit of interior on a couple different builds using the Furitek Micro Komodo combo and a Turbo Racing receiver. If you play your cards right, you can fit it all under the hood.
