One thing to note, none of the adapters that come with the ESC are compatible with the stock Traxxas TRX4M battery, so you either need to get your own adapter or use a different battery. As I was using an Ascent 18 battery it didn't jump out to me sorry. 👍
I usually just change out the connectors on all of my Traxxas products. I have never really liked them, so I change them out as soon as the warranty expires.
This is the only person out of everyone that reviewed this system and actually checked how hot it got says something and it getting warm on slow gears means it will get hot on stock gears, say it I wanted to use it for the MT version on the trx4m 👍
Looks really good control that m8 if u didn't say would say it is a furitek system in it and that is probably the biggest compliment on it. Best thing to add when having to use the non traxxas esc/reciever stuff is the injora double decker battery/esc carbon tray
Yeah I was impressed with it, couldn't really notice any difference between my Furitek and this. Yeah I didn't have one, so just used what I had, but agree that's really good. Only thing I'm not fussed about these types if setups, is having more top weight with the receiver etc vs an all in one. But it's a minimal difference I guess. 👍
@@DoURC yea i think that is why i like the layout on the ascent18 gives u places to fit aftermarket esc and rx parts with having to adapt and go higher like u said
@brianrapley567 Tbf, I mud and get my rigs wet and muddy all the time, so for me it's an issue. My tenth scale TRX4 is brushless and imo, a sealed brushless system is the best upgrade you can do if you mud your rigs. 👍
No, I forgot to say that in the video sorry, in my head I thought the JST plus was the same, but it's not. So slight oversight there on Injora's part, that it's designed for the TRX4M but you can't re-use stock battery, but I bet that's because Traxxas have patented the design so no-one else can use it. I'd get an xt30 adapter or use a battery from an Ascent18 👍 Sorry, I should have highlighted that in the video. 👍
I bought this exact motor and esc and mine just stutters at low speeds then rockets off at full throttle. Changed receiver/transmitter combo and battery but I still get the same issue. I must have gotten a bad ESC or motor. Sometimes it just goes at a stuttering crawl and will never go faster even though the throttle is maxed. I've bought a lot of Injora parts and usually they are great but I've read about a lot of issues with this ESC and motor. Quality Control is lacking.
@GuitarsNAmmo Ah ok, that's no good. Have you tried contacting them to see what they say? What about trying the motor off the rig, does it have the same issue?
Use whatever you want, lots to choose from tbh. Flysky do really good transmitters at a decent price, just depends how much you want to spend really. 👍
That depends what you want to use it for tbh, as they're all different. I like the Injora Swamp Claws for mud and Little Guy Racing Parts black labels for rocks. 👍

Brushless is definitely a game changer for these.
Yeah it makes such a difference. I actually enjoyed running the TRX4M, whereas normally I just find it annoying tbh. 👍

Tbf it was only luke warm, so hopefully won't get too hot on stock gears. In comparison to my Hobbywing fusions it was cold as ice! 🤣👍
Just what the trx4m needed a game changer
Yeah it's made a massive difference, so much nicer to run now. 👍
Brilliant in-depth review. Like that you showed all parts of install also 👍👍👍
Thanks very much, appreciate it and glad it was helpful. 👍

The deal breaker for me is not waterproof
Yeah it's a shame it's not waterproof. Hope they come out with an app too, would be nicer to tune then. 👍
It’s not a boat bro who needs it waterproof for crawling ??

@@brianrapley567depends on where you live. We have a lot of rain and it’s fun to cross little rivers without fearing to destroy it. 🤓
@@DoURCah yes, and to clean it afterwards it’s also necessary to be waterproof 👍🏼🤓
Awesome mode bro!!! 🥇👍👍👍Now is a CRAWLER!!! Looks very very fun !!!🎉🎉🎉 I wait to see the video crawling outdoor!!! 📡🤜🤛😎
Thanks very much, really appreciate it. 👍😁
Is it 2S
It can run 2 or 3S 👍
Hopefully they do this for the fcx18, looks awesome
Yeah I don't see why not, I have a feeling it will fit the fcx18/24 if it's fits the trx4m, but not 100% sure without trying it. 👍
@@DoURC currently out of stock, which is annoying but hopefully they’ll be back soon, look like a great bit of kit
@woodyuk1983 Yeah I thought it was really good, especially for the price. 👍
Hello
Great video. Very useful.
Do you know if these esc makes ultrasonic noise ? And if it does. So you if it can cause ear damage ?
Thanks very much 👍
I don't know sorry, guess you'd have to ask Injora. 👍
I feel like that works out, use the small fly sky instead of a transmitter that's bigger than the vehicle.
The Flysky I used is about the same size as the Traxxas transmitter, just better and nicer to use. 👍
nice video, hope you upgrade Injura motor for FCX18 too!
Yeah I'd definitely like too, I use my FCX18's more than my TRX4M tbh. 👍
I’m assuming I can’t just use the motor alone? With stock electrical I mean
No unfortunately not. Stock is all in one, receiver and esc. So you'd need new radio gear. 👍
Can you post a link to what transmitter you use? Is it the pimp one from Injora? Cheers
I've just added a link to the description. I use a Flysky G7P. 👍
Did yours come with an adapter for the stock traxxas battery?
No, I forgot to say that in the video sorry, in my head I thought the JST plus was the same, but it's not. So slight oversight there on Injora's part, that it's designed for the TRX4M but you can't re-use stock battery, but I bet that's because Traxxas have patented the design so no-one else can use it. Sorry, I should have highlighted that in the video. 👍
What controller do you use because I’m trying to get one but I have no idea😂
I'm running a Flysky FS-G7P. Great transmitter at a reasonable price. 👍

That's no good. Have you connected it to the tuning software to check its configured correctly?
@@DoURC yep, I connected the software and it's at their optimal settings
@GuitarsNAmmo Ah ok, that's no good. Have you tried contacting them to see what they say?
What about trying the motor off the rig, does it have the same issue?
@@DoURC it stutters less when there isn't a load on the motor, but it still stutters at low speed.
@GuitarsNAmmo Ah ok, that sucks. I'd definitely message them, as I've always found them helpful and quick to reply. 👍
How hot does it get when crawling slowly ?
Pretty sure I said in the video didn't I?
Tire size ? 58 * 24mm?
They're Injora Swamp Claws, 56x23mm 👍
where can i get a remote controller for this?
Use whatever you want, lots to choose from tbh. Flysky do really good transmitters at a decent price, just depends how much you want to spend really. 👍
Can you still use the factory controller?
No, stock is all in one, so you need a new transmitter and receiver. I did mention it in the video! 😉
What is the best tires for a trx4m

This would be perfect if you could use the pro light kit with it.
That would be cool 👍
