I actually like the TQI radio. It fits better in my big hands than my Spektrum radios. The Bluetooth module is great with the app to set steering end points, throttle, and brake. My TQI radio controls 5 different vehicles. Perfect.
This is the most informative video I've watched in a long time. IDK that turning on and off the radio isn't better than scrolling on a different radio to find your model. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for pointing this out. I get tired of all these radios, not to mention the batteries. I will do this. I know every vehicles comes with the transmitter.
What about trims and other setting for each vehicle? Wouldn't you have to reset everything when you changed models? I don't like the traxxas transmitters myself, but that might be a question that needs to be answered.
That’s what i do i own 14 Traxxas vehicles, & TQI radio can control up to 20 vehicles, very cool feature, is great to use one remote for all my vehicles
I didn’t have the same experience with the TQI radio being selective. Spektrum radios also do what you’re describing. Only one at a time, but multiple can be powered on simultaneously and hot swapped between
Good info. The one thing you didn’t mention is, even when having multiple vehicles synced to the one controller, if you want to operate any of the other vehicles not currently being controlled by the multi-controller, can you use the original vehicle controller to operate any of the other vehicles!?! And do you have to do the “Bind” process with every vehicle you want to use on the one controller when using the T-Link?
Great vid. I use one radio for models that I wouldn't run at the same time with family (crawlers, 1/10 scale, larger scale, etc). I learned that if you use the app to set endpoints and such, you have to have the app running for these settings to take place every time you run that vehicle. At least on mine. Bought a phone holder for this. The MOST important feature of the app for me is setting the low voltage alarm on each RC (that has the voltage reading capability) so the Lipos don't run down so far. LVC's on all brand RTR's are much too low. Very aggravating 🙄
FUN FACT: Traxxas has the ONLY receivers that I know of that have multiple car memory. Most transmitters have that feature but not the receivers! So you can bind multiple controllers to a car. Which most people don’t know that.
The receiver/remote went out on my Team Associated buggy. Does this me if I replaced the OEM Team Associated receiver to a Traxxas, then it should be no problem to run my buggy with the Traxxas receiver from my Rustler VXL right?
I have three 6528 radio's, and one of them has the two switch button in front of the knobs, just like yours. How come there are two different 6528 and does they work in a different way, or will they bind in the same way?
I've known about the TQi's ability to be paired to multiple vehicles (although I forget if the max is 10, 20, or 30), and I've known about it's auto-switch ability (ie. turn off vehicle, turn off TQi, turn TQi back on, then turn on 'other' vehicle)...but, one thing I am uncertain of is whether said TQi NEEDS the Link module, or whether a TQi can be paired to multiple vehicles without a Traxxas Link module (since you didn't specify in the video, and we can see your TQi has a Traxxas Link installed). Speaking of the Traxxas Link module, I had one several years ago, and had nothing but problems with it. I purchased it shortly after purchasing the Rustler 4x4 VXL. It was constantly 'refusing' to connect to my phone (a Samsung Note)...and, on those rare occasions is actually connected, or would disconnect shortly thereafter. It would work one time, and not the next...and, yes, it had been updated to the latest firmware (at that point in time, which was 4-6 years ago). After less than a month, I was so fed up work the problems, I returned the Traxxas Link, and for my money back. Hopefully, whatever was causing this problem has been corrected/fixed. Were you aware of the problem I'm speaking of? And, if so, can you confirm that the problem is 100% corrected/fixed?
Its 30 vehicles and you don't need the Bluetooth module. I have only recently gotten it within the last year but I don't have any issues connecting to a phone (I have an Iphone). The only downside in my opinion is that the App can only pair with one bluetooth module at a time.
Question. If you're TQI is installed with the remote for the TRX4 WITH 2 speed and locking and unlocking switches, will that work with all your vehicles? Or do you need to keep those separate because of the switches? Or does it matter?
Thanks, not exactly a secret, but there’s very few videos on it and you’ll see most YTers have like 10 radios in the background all labeled for different cars. I also didn’t see a good video on how to go from one car to the next - people seem to think you have to use the Bluetooth app, which you don’t. 🤷♂️
So I have a Trx4 and a Trx4m, if I bind the TQi transmitter to the Trx4m will it cancel out the original TQ transmitter?? Sometimes I go out with both vehicles and a friend uses one whilst I’m using the other, so I’m wondering how this will work?!
omg!! great video!!! had no idea!! this just randomly came up.

Traxxas is also the best price (not counting FlySky) spectrum and futaba are like $100.00
I just wish there was a smaller version of this radio for the TRX4M. Something a little more compact, but same features.
I have the Stampede and the TRX4 Blazer shouldn’t I somehow be able to run both trucks off one receiver? Thank you in advance
This is the most informative video I've watched in a long time. IDK that turning on and off the radio isn't better than scrolling on a different radio to find your model.
Thanks for the video.
thanks, yeah I see a lot of people think you need to turn on the app when you don't have to at all.
Thank you for pointing this out. I get tired of all these radios, not to mention the batteries. I will do this. I know every vehicles comes with the transmitter.
Most excellent produced content Broski

it keeps all of the settings for each model, no need to reset or change anything when you switch models.

I thought it was 40? Now I need to go look lol

@@vitodambra72 I thought it was 40 if it makes you feel any better lol

Ever paired one of the small Rally’s to the TQi radio? Not seeing a “bind” button on it. 😏

Tqi will only come with the bigger higher end models. The 4m and the latrax along with the 1/16th are all tq.
Great informative video! I knew most of it but there was a few details you covered that I was wondering about. Thank you!
Could I use the TQ controller to also control my axial or my ftx etc?
Thanks for the info! Nice refresher course brought to us. By razor rc👊.
This would be a great feature if you only run them by yourself. I like having all the remotes ready to go for multiple users.

You can bind up to 30 vehicles to a TQi radio. You do not need the module or app to bind multiple models to the TQi radio.
Good job - do you have to have the Bluetooth feature to do this or not ?
No Bluetooth module required.
You don’t need it
Awesome, thanks for sharing brother
So if i am correctly, all my Traxxas cars can be connected with a Traxxas tqi radio with bluetooth module
Hi razer rc I like your video the traxxas is so so fast nice 👍👌😊

I haven’t tried it, but I’m 99% sure it will work.
On the TQI connected to the TRX4M specifically can you adjust throttle trim?
This doesn’t work with the radio that comes with the Drag Slash. Is it different?
Once I linked the same control with several cars. What happens with the original radio, still working or only works with the new linked radio?
Good to know! Thanks
Secret??? C'mon... But this is a good helpful vid for people to easily learn to bind multiple cars👍

I understand. There is good and bad clickbait imo. This would be in the good category due to no real in depth vids showing the process.
how do you keep your cars sooo clin
I bound my tqi to my trx4m. Worked for a little bit then steering stopped working.
My Futaba radio controls all my RCs. I'm not a fan of RTR radios or RTR electronics for that matter. The best upgrade for your RCs is a new radio.
So I have a Trx4 and a Trx4m, if I bind the TQi transmitter to the Trx4m will it cancel out the original TQ transmitter?? Sometimes I go out with both vehicles and a friend uses one whilst I’m using the other, so I’m wondering how this will work?!
Yes each receiver can only listen to one radio, so it would stop listening to the old one.
@@RazorRC thank you for your information 👍🏻
You forgot to say you need a TQI receiver in all of your vehicles. That is posted on their site.
It definitely works with non-TQi receivers. I’ve done several.
Does it remember model specific settings (eg epa) per vehicle?
yup, it keeps all of the settings for each model!
What about 2 controllers 1 car?
👍🏻😃👍🏻
Lol this has been known for like 4 years.
I never knew brushless can reverse
You did not demonstrate how to bind the TRX-4M which has no link button....that's why I watched your video.😒
I like to have one radio than many radios. Tired of changing batteries to different radios.
100% whenever I see someone with like 5 different Traxxas radios, I'm like ya know...
This is only a secret if you haven’t read the manual.
