Ultimate TRX-4M Crawling Upgrades

- In this video we upgrade our TRX-4M with some of the best upgrades for rock crawling performance. We work on approach and departure angles, lower center of gravity, and brushless motor performance. We test out the overall performance on the rock course and run up the incline table to find out how all these upgrades perform. This rig performed so well it had been dubbed the T-Rex4. This is my favorite build of the trx 4m. Looks great, performance is on par.great build list. Keep up the good work. I don't have one yet but maybe by Christmas I can get one and start a build.

Nice setup! Add the Injora oil shocks for improved performance and the Meus brass caster/steering blocks.
I have the already Injora brass up front. I do have a set of the Injora shocks, too. I rebuilt my factory shocks with green slime, and they are working great. So I will save those for my next build.
@@hyperc5249 Nice. It’s not just about the brass. The Meus brass has caster and camber offset for increased steering.

I like to jam and everything else injora make some amazing parts and that new meus chassis I actually have that I just built it the other day but I have not got into it and then the golbact 52 oil shocks are Dynamite to man they work just like 10 scale

How are you mounting the body? I didn’t hear/see anything about that!
I used 3M velcro on the custom 3d printed cross braces I made.

Thanks. The chassis comes with velcro, so I used it to start. I am designing some mounts for magnets to replace it. They velcro is working pretty well, tho. I have it mounted on the chassis cross braces in the video.

Hey does a scx24 emaxx servo work
Yes. But I have not heard good things about that servo working well. These are 1/18 so it doesn't handle all the extra weight very well. I do run those on my SCX24 rigs tho.

Lol just buy the Furitek Cayman chassis cheaper and all you need to add electronics, body and it has portal axles already . With that conversion you’re still stuck using straight axles.
This is a TRX4M 18th scale rig. Nobody makes a quality portal yet. I have a modified FCX24 and 8 other 24th scale rigs. The straight axles are keeping this rig planted. Thanks for watching.
@Larious Gonzalous LOL I don't even know. I just like wrenching rigs and tuning them in. Those $90 axles are very poor quality. Almost all the reviews have binding and are out of spec. Hopefully MEUS or Injora make a set soon.
