Thanks for shot out. The skid you have is to be used and works best with the stock bodies since the bumper overhangs so much. I do already have a shorter, slightly steeper front skid that sits just below and behind the steering link to not interfere at all for more a comp style rig. New servo mount and steering link coming soon for it as well
Sweet! I’m gonna have to pick that one up. I honestly bought this one for my bronco and it just made its way onto this lol. I’m gonna switch it to the bronco and check out the new one for sure! Really appreciate the work you do with these things. We need more people developing new stuff instead of copying the stock stuff in aluminum or brass lol
I'm glad u got the injora servo. Ur the first one I've seen do a video with it. My stock servo stripped a gear so I ordered an injora one. Should b on its way oversees now. Can't wait
As soon as you started talking about the new servo numbers, I hit pause and scrolled through hoping to see if our Austrian friend had commented. Would be nice if he could get his stout mitts on one to test! :D
I’m in Fusion right now working on a flat servo mount with the needed steering rod. If it works I’ll throw it on thingiverse for anyone who wants it. So far it’s all printable without supports so will be easy to print.
I've got a setup that is now working perfectl with a Reefs 179 on the Furitek Grasshopper chassis. It now sits horizontal and is just below the 62mm tires I'm running, without having to hack up the stock running gear much at all. The only thing needed is to cut the little tabs off the axle that fit into the notches on the stock servo mount, instead I use the structure of the axel itself to lock in the orientation of the servo mount. I'll take some pictures and upload to thingiverse and printables in an hour, really happy with how this turned out. I'll tag the files as TRX4M servo.
I ordered me the bettle chassis & coming on Saturday. Putting injora brushed motor kit in it, gonna put some k10 rear links, both on the front & rear, gonna make it super long. Lol Hopefully it works out. Of, btw, fyi, injora has a lay down servo mount option now.
With the fury take stuff I believe this is one of the best cars on the market I have the mofo bam 4100 in mine and it is flat-out amazing I got 16% under driving the rear 9% in the front and then just all tricked out but it's the skid man the skid plate it hangs up on everything minutes sets to low right there I do have those little metal brackets I'm going to put on and try to cover it and see if that'll help it slide I really would like to find some type of paint or something that's real slick and hit it all also now there's a lot of portal axles coming out
No it just looks dumb to me lol. I lay them down if they aren’t hidden by the body. If I’m running stock body it don’t bother me too bad cause you don’t really see it much.
Is it really a TRX4M anymore though? Don't get me wrong, it drives amazing!!! They needed to something for the truck though... I may go this route, because as of right now, mine does not get driven AT ALL... Great vid as always!
@@Steve_J81 ahh ok. Yeah I haven’t ran that servo just because a lot of people was saying they ran a bec with it for that reason. I don’t wanna add anything extra in these little trucks so I’m not running a bec lol. I normally just run the 6.5V anyway. Plenty power most of the time.
@@2fmrc I mainly used it because it was (at the time) only $5 more than the a20cls but now that the injora servo is out I will just run those from now on if they turn out to be good.
I haven't really considered a trxm before but now it's might be coming up someday. The servo looks whack, but it might look good with a 3d sleeve that makes it look like a V8. Seems a mistake to have the wires coming out the top for that configuration.
i think its super cool! but theres just something i like about having a licensed body. and i think model cars are boring as they come to be honest but theres just something so cool about a C10 thats hacked up. but thats just me!! cool build !!
Dang.... I think I'm gonna have to order the bettle now. I disagree on the skid plate... look at all the 1/10 comp rigs with rollers on the steering link. I think that skid plate is doing more harm than good. I can't believe how well that thing climbs without any rear springs. Enough space on the chassis for factory electronics?
Yeah after driving it the skid really sticks out a bit more and may not be the best solution. I think I’m going to go back to my 3D printed link that sits back farther than stock. It wouldn’t work with the skid. There should be room for the stock electronics. They’ll just be mounted a bit higher than I’d like.
The 3FLOW9 RC skid for the TrX4m is designed to be used with the stock bodies. It gives the best glancing angle with the bumpers sticking out. And it's only 4mm past the steering link. Youll eventually hit something in the front end without it. I already have a 2nd version to be used with cage style chassis. It sits just behind the steering link but has a slightly steeper angle to it.
@@3flow9rc10 yeah it’s not anything you did wrong with it really. Just the horrible design of the servo mount and links lol. I was thinking I’d probably move it to my bronco because I plan to leave the body on that one.
Love the channel Matt but man I'm burnt out on 24s the cost is getting to be out of control for what seems like to be that every company and parts companies are starting to seem like running out of ideas its all looking the same these days and may I add upgrades for 24s should not cost the same as 10s. It looks like a great chassis EXCEPT for the front shock towers. They look like dongs. Literally any other shape would look better. It could also use adjustable upper link mounts.
