This is one of the more laborious things about having drones… especially having different sizes, and also where you fly…. It’s nice that you have given some tips to those of us who are really just starting out and beginning to look into making it a side venture
Ian I can't thank you enough. I just ordered a 3S a few days ago. I think it may get stuck in customs, but whatever. If/when I received the drone this video will help me smooth out some of the weirdness before I even take her up. You are probably saving people (esp. beginners) hours or days of their time trying to figure out what they're "doing wrong." So cheers to you mate.
I have followed you for a while now. Your presentation is always thoughtful, engaging and full of useful information. There are many pretenders out there and I consider you’re still on the throne. 😂
Thanks for the great tutorial on the Air 3S settings. I followed your advice on settings for the Mini 4 Pro and they were spot on. Thanks again and all the best from the US!
This video is a fantastic guide for anyone looking to optimize their DJI A3S drone settings! The detailed walkthrough on adjusting sensitivity and smoothness settings is incredibly helpful for achieving smoother video footage. It's great to see practical tips that can make such a big difference in video quality. Thanks for sharing these insights! 🚁📹
@@IaninLondon Iwas out yesterdat setting up as described in your tutorial. I set it to normal with the drone hovering. I did the adjustments. Then i switched to cine mode and adjusted for that. When i went back into normal mode it changed the settings I made to match the cine settings. How do i do it so that each mode has individual settings?
Great video! Fascinating to see the breaking setting when you take your hands off the sticks, and it keeps on flying for ages on its own! I think the obstacle avoidance even had to kick in in your experiment too!
Yes. When they first brought this in last year on the Air 3, I tested it OA would kick in if it was on super slow braking.... (It does, as long as you're not in Sport mode)
Always so clear and concise, thanks Ian...can't wait to see the Hyperlapse and slow motion in action....I'm trying toi get as much info as possible before I try and your explanations on all things drones always help...Ledge 🤜💥🤛
Hey Neil; thanks for the good words. I put this video up a few months ago on Hyperlapse and the function is similar... ruclips.net/video/0HmIn_eGwNs/видео.html
Must say I’m blown away by what the Air3s can do and low light IQ. Need to work on the wife 😂 smart RTH seems to work very well. I often go to a country heavily affected by GPS spoofing. Wonder to what degree the smart RTH helps 🤔
Hi Ian and good day to you. Well appreciated you putting that latest Information on the Air 3.S as I've just purchased one within the last week combo as of set the settings to the same as what you've just recommended in your footage, as i think it's a fantastic draw as the technology who's moved on quite a bit over the last few years as I've still got the Mavic 2 zoo even so i still think it's a good dream has this new drome in my opinion is amazing as i do follow your channel best wishes from Alan Birmingham man 👍
I'm curious: since the DJI Air 3 and Air 3s have the same body and probably the same motors, are the settings you provided for the Air 3s the same as those you're using for the old Air 3? Thanks for the video! P.S. TED cracks me up, lol!
NO JERKY TURNS. - -I have that bumper sticker! 10 M/S Ascending and Descending speeds are outstanding on Air 3/3S - The fastest consumer drone in this parameter? Faster then INSPIRE 3. I use similar settings for gimbal movement, slightly faster, very slight. I don't dial in as much "smoothness" - I am obsessive with gimbal and yaw overruns. It looks... sloppy.
Another super useful video from you Ian. Thank you. I'm still using an old Mavic Air (because I live in London and it's the only thing I can fly up close to people that works in higher winds). I use similar setting to yours on that; for the same reasons. I'm really impressed with this new Air S and would buy one if we could fly it up close with the A2CofC. How likely is that our authorities are going to wake up and let us catch up a little with the EU?
They abandonded the C rating system 2 years ago and probably won't do anything concrete for another 2 years.... That's why I stick with the Mini 4 Pro for towns and the AIr 3S for countryside...
THIS was a bit of a LET DOWN. - When I ordered the 3 S (I will sell My Air 3, and POSSIBLY my Mavic 3 Pro. Top speed is 27 m/s that's 60.39 MPH / 97.2 KPH! vs. 21 m/s (46.97 MPH 75.6 KPH) I was excited to go rip past my head within an INCH doing 60MPH, 97 KPH camera held on my neck. Then... I SAW IT... *At sea level, with 6 m/s tailwind, while flying in the same direction as the wind: 27 m/s* REAL SPEED *At sea level, with 6 m/s tailwind, while flying in the same direction as the wind: 27 m/s* Not
My review video does clearly state the top speed is 21 m/s (19 in EU) but you can utilise a tail wind to get up to 27 - 30 m/s . Unsure how this specific scenario can be a let down, but ultmately if it's super speed you want, the the Avata 2 or DJI FPV is your best bet... (way over 60 mph!)

Thank you for the settings tips, I'll be making them adjustments soon to my newly arrived Air 3s! Cheers! ✌️
Thanks again Ian. I just got my air 3s and you have saved me so much time.
Great stuff 😀👍🏻👍🏻

As usual great tips from you Ian. Must admit did similar setting on my older drones and now to add to the Air3s
Excellent guide !! instant bookmark of it :)

Really well explained Ian. Thank you.
Excellent and very thorough descriptions
Thanks Ian these settings make all the difference from a poor filming to a great video very helpfull. Keep these videos coming 👍👍
Thanks Karen 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks for the good words and have fun with the Air 3S! :)
Im considering selling my mavic 3 classic because I don't think I will fly it again given how great and convenient the air3s is!!
If you've got both, yeah, I can understand that!
Don't sell it, M3 is a beast, also has the longest range test among all drones and great footage
Grazie mille veramente molto utili. Thank you very much indeed.
Waiting for delivery of AIR 3S...Will adjust settings addording to your suggestions...Thank You! TW
Good info as usual.
What's going on with the camera tracking you as you present to us? Can't decide if that's a good thing or a touch annoying!!
I need to stop moving around so much..... Upgraded the camera after the Fern Focus incident a month or so ago 😂
thank you...turkey
rolling shutter is common in most cameras during a pan
Yes, another reason to take it slow ;)

Yes, pretty much same settings for air 3 and other drones too. Ted is always the star 🐾🐾🐾

Blimey how many drones do you have now😂
More than is necessary ;) But it's all good fun :)
