    *By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*

    @cagohupu98 The amount of weight all depends on your strength. the adjustable kettlebell that we use is a good option so you can start light and build up as you need to. If you have never done a Kettlebell workout before then start light 8-10 pounds max (3.6-4.5 Kg) the motions can be dangerous if done with to much weight before you have the form down.

    @brownsugarfly ...and a squat uses the hips glutes and hamstrings. You are probably referring to the fact that my squat is deeper than is traditionally used. But in my professional opinion larger ranges of motion promote better overall function as well as higher calorie burn.

    When perform kettle bell swinging always use momentum - this is exactly the point! Low back and legs are working mostly.Your instability happened because you are not experienced with kettle bells. Ancient Russian sport - creates tremendous stamina, joint strength, power and etc... If you want to bulk up - don't do kettle Bells.If you want to lose weight, create stamina and athletic body then kettle bell is your tool. Start from 12-16 kg, take private lessons to learn basic techniques.

    Having tried my hand at the FB cardio I was feeling well prepared for this "full workout". How wrong I was. This ego crushing, truth facing set of exercises tested me to the limit. By the end of the first round I'd experienced the full gambit of emotions: Anger, Jealousy (why isn't this guy sweating?), fear (please let there be an advert), and finally joy (round one's over). Half way through round 2 I'd faced my demons and grown as a human being.
    In short, an awesome workout. Round 3 to come!

    Make sure that your stance is not too wide & focus on a larger radius around the leg. Also, try slowing the motion down a bit until you feel comfortable with it.

    @luvneternal The number of calories you burn depends on a lot of things (gender, weight, muscle content, etc). At 20.2 calories per minute, you would have to be pretty heavy, and have a LOT of muscle mass. More realistically you're looking at burning 16 a minute.

    Thanks for uploading this! I followed your FIGURE 8 CURLS; KETTLEBELL HALOS; SINGLE ARM SWINGS; SINGLE ARM SNATCH & PRESS; SQUAT JERKS; FULL SWINGS (stopping at head height only) for 2 rounds and I was completely wet with sweat all over! I excluded the cross crunches and Turkish get ups for now since I'm still getting use to this. I'm using a DIY kettlebell made with a liquid detergent bottle filled with sand and water. This is a great workout for me! you got my sub man!

    its all realative to your strenth level, keep in mind by design kettlebells are unbalanced weight so balancing muscles are used more so than normal to do the excorsizes. dont try to use more weight than you can do without control and propper form and if you can still just do the excorsizes and be pushed a bit to do it then its a good weight to use.

    Researchers found that people who did 20-minute kettlebell workouts torched almost 300 calories-and that's just for starters. When you factor in the muscle-sculpting impact (the calories burned after you exercise as your body repairs its muscle fibers), the total expenditure could increase by up to 50 percent.

    You can, but for me what works is using the shoulder AND upper back muscles to do more of a pull up and in, not just using my shoulder to force my hand straight up. And engage your legs/core just as much.
    Not a trainer but based on my own experiences.

    He is not demonstrating a true one handed kettle-bell swing using the posterior chain and a hip hinge. It's a squat swing mash up of some kind. This can lead to back issues.

    this is the hardest one by far- i did it 4 times in two years and just completed it today with a 45lb weight except for turkish getups where i used 20lb. (daniel does do only 6 reps where it says 8- I can only get to 7 in the time allowed). anyway, there are no breaks and your forearms will be totally blown out when this is over. use chalk or powder or the weight might fly out of your hand and break something- i learned that the hard way.

    • @dbldnii
      @dbldnii 9 лет назад
