I’ve owned 3 integras! I love them! They’re a very good tunable bang for buck car for enthusiasts at all levels. You’ll never run out of options for building in any direction. Stance, race, daily, show, it doesn’t matter!

I drove V8 muscle cars most my young life, then three years ago bought a nice 2005 rsx-s. Swapped a k24a into it with my Z1 head, I/h/e rbc intake plenum and tuned it. I look forward to driving to work every day. Probably will never sell it. It's just too practical and fun to drive, though an Integra GS-R could sway me into a purchase. Probably not lol
Although I never owned one, I loved the Integra and felt it was the heart of Acura. Without it, Acura has lost the plot and by way of badge engineering, has become Honda’s version of Mercury. Acura needs more vigor in their lineup to become a legend again.
Another great overview! I miss my 1990 Integra RS. I literally had it about two months when it was stolen back in summer 2010. Only had ~70k mi *sniff* I had great plans for it.
Rest of the world got the 4 headlights as well, those were the Si-VTEC models. I believe that was in 93, and wasn't very popular, so they went with the 1 piece headlights. Which then were known as the SiR-G (GSR equivalent).
5:45 There was no USDM 1999 Acura Integra Type R. After the the pause in 1999 Acura returned with the 00-01. Two colors were available, Phoenix Yellow and Flamenco Black Pearl. I know you were referring to the body style in general 98-01, I just wanted to throw that out :)
Nice video very nicely informative about one of the greatest cars! Hopefully Honda does bring it back in a type R manual only like they did with the civic type R, and they did bring back the nsx so hey there’s a chance
They also had to dicontinue the rsx because the civic si had the same performance weight at a lower cost. Which in a way the compited for the same custumer.
I for one really think Honda needs to bring back the prelude or integra into the current line up( honestly both) Main interest, the integra. They brung the ctr back and back to America so now it’s time to bring the itr back
Great vid but the bug eye dc chassis integra was released in Japan as well however the reason behind going to the one piece front was a marketing move because the bug eye didn’t respond well for them

I had a 95 GSR back in the day. It was one of the funnest cars i ever owned. Had I/H/E the Vtec hit hard was such a fun car. Great vid as usual!

I love them, although here in the uk we have the just the Honda dc5 and not the Acura. They aree amazing 🙌🏽

Japan got the bug eyed 3rd gen Integra for one year which proved unpopular and then they switched to the accord style lights afterwards.
Oh and the 3rd gen bumper and headlight facelift was made available for 1998-2001.
