Just found you here Kris and I have to say this looks very cool indeed. I have a few logs stored up that I might make something out of having seen what you've done here so far, gives me inspiration! Look forward to the next video - Clint
Your getting so fast it this Kris, have you ever built anything for other folks before ? Your work just blows me away its so good ! :0) Love your videos
Thank you, no i had never done this before. i had a guy show me how the marking out worked and then just started doing it. glad you are enjoying the videos. the kind words mean a lot to me. kris
Can we hold off a couple of days and get a longer video? I've been here since day one. I need some longer videos this 5-10minute stuff isn't cutting it on my Sunday off! Keep up the work but give me more to watch! Don't be mad at me Kris! I love the vids
Kris, may you show what the grass on the roof looks like after first winter ..... Folowing you regularly. Good job. Very intersting to watch you work... Regards, Tom
thanks, yes that is the plan, i am currently in the process of moving. i am really loking farward to being there full time and getting lots of projects done.
Anyone living in Great Britain should never complain about the weather when it's warm ! The climate here has to be one of the most depressing on this planet ! Mostly if it's warm in winter, it's wet & when it's wet in summer, it's cold ! & It rarely stays consistent long enough to acclimate ! I personally love crisp cold dry days in winter & hot dry days in summer (precious few of either of these).
looking great, you do good work. I just have to ask, isn't there any straighter trees to use? those are mighty crooked. If you can do it with those, imagine what you could do if they were cut or straight? Keep the vids coming.
The logs seem to have grown some nasty looking mold, did you have some rain falling on them? I know that this type of mold is harmless, it just affects the aesthetics of the thing.
its feeding on the sap, i could have helped prevent it by washing the sap off but it will fade eventually anyway. it happend to the logs in the roundhouse to and its mostly gone now.
You are a wonderful teacher 🤓 you make this build very interesting. I just had to re-subscribe, what do you think happened to my subscription? How does it just fall off? I have subscribed to you since you started your round house. Are you doing another reciprocal roof? I wish you would do a step by step video including the math on a reciprocal roof.
Hi, thank you. i think the subscriber thing is a fault with youtube.....lots of people on other channels have said the same thing. youtube really needs to get sorted out. i was only going to put a flat roof on this building. but the workshop i will be building next will have two reciprocal roofs so i will go though it then. kris.
What's the score as far as things like council tax Kris ? I'm thinking of buying my own piece of land and buying a flat pack house instead of cutting and milling my own wood , I don't have the energy you do haha . It will still work out considerably cheaper than buying bricks and mortar and I love the idea of having my own bit of land and a wood house with chickens and growing my own produce . Just wondering what hidden fees you have to pay aside from the land and materials
Kris, this is awesome! I love seeing the work your doing. You're living my dream, and I want to celebrate with you! All the best!
I look forward to your videos and get excited when I see there is a new one. You do awesome work!!

Nice videos Kris..keep em coming plse :)
Only way to get this shed last longer than what it's going to would be to build it from plastic. That looks sturdy as fuck.
Sceme1991 Well, that would be true if plastic was more than cheap weak crap
u and this is so brilliant . we here are totally going to do this now. :)
Well Done!

Hey Kris. I recall you mentioned that you are volunteering at Lamas. Can you post some footage of that as well?
Awesome!
Thanks Kris, watched from beginning and you are very talented craftsman. Will you be living there full time?

Do you just toe nail the vertical poles to the flat seal plate?

A little mold never hurt anyone, all you gotta do is rub some dirt on it and it'll be fine.
Hi, just want to ask how do you sostain the pillars of the wall?
