Kris, I love your shed and the roundhouse! Such simple, honest buildings. I'm watching the house build with my partner and we're planning on emulating your techniques when we move to New Zealand in a few years. I have noticed that the front of your shed looks like a sleepy owl, which will become even more so as the wood turns silver. :-)
Great space for doing your work! Be on the lookout for an interesting piece of wood to make yourself a big inside door handle for easy grabbing! I love all of the custom details that you use, most of all the round timber frames! Leaving wood in the round gives such a feeling of warmth and coziness I think. 🍀
Love it!! I'm in the process of cutting down trees around my house. Going to run them through my sawmill this winter and build a shop with it in the spring. I've heard the pros and cons on building with green wood, thought I will give it a go myself. Your video is very inspirational. Thank you!
Awesome Work buddy. get all stuff out your home into shed must be a delight More Space, Also think be great idea to put battery bank into shed. More Space in your house :D
Can hear the pride in your voice as you oversee your achievement, and so you should. this is a great work of art, almost like a mini-home. Would be good to see how the roundhouse looks with the tools transplanted out of it now. Does it appear bigger with everything moved to the shed? Well done for sharing all these.
Thanks, yes the roundhouse is looking much bigger now it is free of tools. but it will have all my furniture in there soon so it will shrink again, but it will be nice and cosy :D
I love your videos Kris, your videos make me want to my make own off grid house in the future. Moving your battery bank into the shed is a fantastic idea. Being close to the panels will prevent loss of power. Have you considered increasing your solar panel size? You must be struggling on the amount of power you're collecting.
Nice work mate. Those smaller waney edge boards, dry them off and stick them on ebay as shelving boards , will get snapped up and can make a few quid as well.
Great work, only thing I would suggest is move the vice so that the back jaw is level with the edge of bench, otherwise you can't hold longer length stuff upright in the vice. If it's level to the front it clears. Hope that makes sense?
Very nice, this is typical Welsh weather Kris, your gonna have to get used to it lol, it's more like November than August, I was hoping I could take my thirteen year old son camping around the Gower but that looks like its going to be a non starter. What are you going to do with the floor? You could try laying flat stone or compact earth sealed with oil would look nice and be better for cleaning up if you don't want to leave it as is, but I wouldn't lay wooden flooring because my mate did that and the vermin had a lovely new home, all in all though Kris I think you have done a fantastic job making a home for yourself and that shed is much better than anything you could have bought for the money you would've spent by now I think and the construction method you used should be far stronger
If he wanted a rustic feel then he wouldn't have used hardware store 2x4's and a mass manufactured metal racking. I don't think he cares. I have pegboard in my shed and garage and I love it!
asusreviews Or he might use the thin pieces of board and custom drill the hole layout. I noticed the slabs of wood he said they were thinner than the others might work.they were long.
Wow!! It's looking really great!! Once you get all your stuff in there, what are you going to do with all the extra room in the house? lol What will the next project be?
Unless you're a neatness farook, shelves, rather than cupboards 'n' drawers, are the key to a tidy shed. Clutter accumulation occurs when you put stuff down on the closest flat surface, but with shelves that means it's in its place. Not to get too egghead, but it's a loophole in the mess-time continuum. Yip! Yip!
front of the shed looks like a face- you could put a dark branch with a curve on the wall next to the outer end of the lower hinge and make it smile a little... :)
Part 9 and 10 got removed :( id love to see those, could you out em back up please? Love the result. Great stuff there. Cant wait until I start my project
Looks awesome, fully jealous. Makes sense to put the solar in the shed, then run the 240v to the house for less voltage drop for that distance. How do you plan on heating the shed in the winter? Small wood stove?
Are you going to fix up some form of exhaust for your generator or is the idea that the batteries will be up in the shed before long? It may be better for noise reasons to have a mini-shelter for it some distance away from the shed (possibly in the ground to reduce noise). You'll probably need some extra power before long to support the batteries. Also, you haven't set up the hydroelectric power generation which would be good to see - is the power from this going to the shed, house or both?
well the building itself was just under £200 but then i paid £120 for the shelves £60 in plywood and about £20 in 2x4 so about £400 for the building and the storage. but it has taken quite a few hours to build.
I used to think that you were a good carpenter, but now I think that you are an artist. 👍You forgot the most important item in your shed. You need a coffee maker. Does the truff on the roof prevent the roof from leaking? Thanks
I was going to binge watch Vikings but instead I watched this entire build 🤗 I have a question...Did you attach the posts to the sill plate? I live in tornado alley & I’m wondering if I’d need to do that in case of high winds, which are more likely than a tornado hitting it. TY for filming all these great builds!
move in to the roundhouse and get it finished. then i will be doing hydro electric over the winter. next spring i will be starting a new building. not sure what one yet...
+ Kris Harbour If I were you I'd build something like a large carport. For wood storage and for being able to continue doing your stuff outside, no matter the weather. Just my 2 cents...
I just watched the whole shed series back to back. Absolutely loved it.. And learnt a lot too. Thanks Kris 👍
Exceptional craftsmanship. Smart use of windows for natural light.
Fantastic work, love the tool shed/work shop. Can't wait to see what you tackle next.

You can take the man out of a shed but you can't take the shed out of the man!.. good job buddy and thanks for sharing.
Made my day seeing a new video from you dude. Top work fella !
Glad to making your day :D thanks mate.
Great work Kris, you are a very motivational inspiration. Awesome man !
Cheers Kris, I have really enjoyed watching this series, great work.
Love your videos. Your ingenuity is quite amazing.
Nice shop. Great place to work. Lots of light. You are making serious progress. 👍 Vinny 🇺🇸
Excellent! You really inspire us! Can't wait to see more of your house. Blessings...
Great videos as always. Suggestion: make some hinged wooden window covers and add some hardware to lock them shut when away.
Nice looking build you have done a very good job. It is a work shed so no need to be perfect.
Great work cabin! I love it! I very much enjoyed watching your series, thank you for filming and posting it

A pleasure watching your vlogs
Lovely work, you should install a wood burner in there for the winter months
What a great video series, very fascinating! Liked and subscribed. Thank you
You are a true inspiration!
Awesome little workshop. Nice job.
Looking really good, I bet you can't wait to finish it now and start using the space for other projects!

Well done buddy great video 👍
Amazing mate!

Champion!
I enjoy your videos mate
Nicely done dear fellow :)
Great Video. Kind of surprised you didn't use slabs for your bench top until you showed you were running out
Wonderful work😆
Amazing
Nice work mate. Those smaller waney edge boards, dry them off and stick them on ebay as shelving boards , will get snapped up and can make a few quid as well.
Good idea but i can find plenty of uses for them for shelving in the kitchen.
Great work, only thing I would suggest is move the vice so that the back jaw is level with the edge of bench, otherwise you can't hold longer length stuff upright in the vice. If it's level to the front it clears. Hope that makes sense?
Good point! i cant believe i dint think of that..... thanks.
Kris Harbour your more welcome
Nice video mate

It’s Wales. Don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes.... (not a dig against Wales - I’m Welsh!)
Looks great!! Get some pegboard and you can hang up some tools above the workbench! :)
If he wanted a rustic feel then he wouldn't have used hardware store 2x4's and a mass manufactured metal racking. I don't think he cares. I have pegboard in my shed and garage and I love it!

aah Kris you're back. I was wondering where you'd got to!
+ Kris Harbour I must be getting old, thought I subscribed months ago. Anyway, sub'd again today. Love your vids, mate, thanks!
Wow!! It's looking really great!! Once you get all your stuff in there, what are you going to do with all the extra room in the house? lol What will the next project be?

Shovels have slightly curved edges and are used by construction workers to shovel sand and aggregate.
Looks awesome, fully jealous. Makes sense to put the solar in the shed, then run the 240v to the house for less voltage drop for that distance. How do you plan on heating the shed in the winter? Small wood stove?
Loved watching this! How did you find and fix the leak in the roof?
Can we get an update on this shed? I'd love to see it in its completely finished, current state.
Are you going to fix up some form of exhaust for your generator or is the idea that the batteries will be up in the shed before long? You'll probably need some extra power before long to support the batteries. Kris what was the final cost to build the shed? looks amazing. Whats your next project?
well the building itself was just under £200 but then i paid £120 for the shelves £60 in plywood and about £20 in 2x4 so about £400 for the building and the storage. but it has taken quite a few hours to build.
Gee Kris you must be tired... you was 'Smokin' in there buddy... but looking great as always...
I used to think that you were a good carpenter, but now I think that you are an artist. 👍You forgot the most important item in your shed. You need a coffee maker. Does the truff on the roof prevent the roof from leaking? Thanks
Awesome job, Kris! Will you be doing another series like this soon?
+Best Access Doors yes I will be, hydro electric is the next big project, and then next spring I'm going to be building a large workshop.
Looking good but vice is to fare back. Restricting length off material you can clamp
Nice job, looking good. But don't you think you have to move your vice, you can't use it with long items vertically?
Thanks for this series it's great. How did u put gutterings in to take the rain ?
I was going to binge watch Vikings but instead I watched this entire build 🤗 I have a question...Did you attach the posts to the sill plate? I live in tornado alley & I’m wondering if I’d need to do that in case of high winds, which are more likely than a tornado hitting it. TY for filming all these great builds!
Looks very good man for the materials that you're using. Curious about what you meant by security.
im going to have a security system that will text my phone and alert me if anything unusual happens.
Good thinking!
So, how did you fix that leak you showed on the inside? Or did it fix itself when you added the turf?
was it very very frightening?
Nice one Kris. what's next after the shed then?
move in to the roundhouse and get it finished. then i will be doing hydro electric over the winter. next spring i will be starting a new building. not sure what one yet...
cant wait. you using the hydro wheel you have built or starting from scratch?
+ Kris Harbour If I were you I'd build something like a large carport. For wood storage and for being able to continue doing your stuff outside, no matter the weather. Just my 2 cents...
An outhouse!
Your shed looks like 'Ollie Beak'.
You gonna finish the floor?
do you plan on adding a floor?
No, the stove has compacted like concrete. its just a bit bumpy.
pmac124 I like the floor.
Did you get birch plywood for the table top???
Vice mounted too far back ?
great job but your vice is mounted wrong,, the rear jaw should be level with the bench edge
I'd a put my work bench right under the window, it would have had of a way of natural lighting
Very nice, but aren't you bothered about security.
Maybe if you had pushed the legs back on the ground, more foot room
Where is that grandpa??????
I used Stodoys instructions for this and I already did it :)
если долго мучатся то сарай получится )))
