    My word!! That’s going to be one sturdy building! People will be trying to decipher your building techniques hundreds of years from now. You absolutely must sign it and date it in some prominent place, along with those who helped you build it. Your buildings will be a fine legacy if you never do anything else.     There are 26 (as of 7/22/2023) completely miserable souls. How could anyone click the dislike on this? (Kris has to have one of the purest and kindest souls on Earth) I pity these people. Kris, your channel is one of the best. This barn project is remarkable, like many of your other projects. I've learned so much from you. Keep up the great work.

      They're usually just chinese workshops, the places where you can buy likes and dislikes for videos. But to make it look like they're normal users they will also like/dislike random videos to try and fool youtube algorithms.

    Bet your mum is going to be extremely proud, not only have you designed the building, you fabricated all the metal parts, milled and plained all the timber, worked as part of the team that did all the cut outs to your design and now your now building the thing. 👍 You so need to if you can try and lake it easy with the leg, you don't want to have a weakness there. 🤗😎

    👍 Killer barn! Glad you're better, while watching you guys lifting those beams it was just a matter of time before something let loose, be safe dude. Nothing wrong with working hard and smart at the same time, especially with health. Down time is worse than taking your time.

      I won't do that type of lifting without knee straps and a weight lifting belt .I wised up after a hernia .

    Wow Kris watching this barn build in real time is awesome and the time goes so fast. You could never make an uninteresting video...the content speaks for itself. I would definitely want to live in the upper part of that building it would make a fantastic home.🤩🤩🤩

    I admire you staying to your passion and not overrun by RUclips algorithm for content. The need for equipment to quickly raise an honorable stately barn as past generations do! And you honor the skill needed for it from prep, plan, milling, carving and assembling with minimal equipment but knowledge of physics. Fascinating! And.. honorable!

      CAD design, concrete foundation and steel "feet" arent that traditional, hehe ... but I get what you mean. The feet are going to be an improvement for the longevity of the construction in that kind of a climate.

    The temporary floorboards look pretty cool for a barn tbh, chuck a few nails in to stop em moving and you're good.
    Loved seeing this thing come to life from a CAD model, some proper old school building techniques being brought back to life.

      Yes he does' well . but i' would be happier if their was a bit of safety kit about. I get it But we all know what happens when the Shit it's the fan. No hard hat's & no safety Harness. worries me if he was out sailing he would have the kit. even if, it wasn't used it wuld be their so it could be uresd. When asked where your safety kit. If you can't pint to it on Sight. Then you in shit street. & a big fine is on the way. been there & done that son . GET THE DAM KIT ON SIGHT, Les out of a bag & on sight.

      Oh les I’ve worked in the construction industry my whole life ( I have a degree in construction management ) and I’m a Steelfixer Formworker and concreter by trade… and I’ve been watching kris’ videos for days. I don’t know who I admire more , him or the new lamb or the Canadian geese 😂😂😂😮

    Kris, I watched your first video on the barn, and you and a few guys were in a cow shed cutting scarf joints in a few timbers then a few weeks later you pretty much have a huge building wow........that thing is going to be massive.😮 much respect from Ireland 🇮🇪

    This is a thing of beauty and I'm enjoying every episode so far, I can't click quick enough when I see a new video has been posted! I always do enjoy watching your projects come into fruition and the greenhouse has been my favourite so far as I love the woodworking but this is looking like being my new favourite as the craftsmanship that's gone into every aspect of this build is top notch!

    Coming along nicely, I've often wondered how certain joints were made , but after seeing the loose/floating tenon it makes things so much clearer and easier to understand no matter how much space you have it will eventually get filled up so I hope you've already got the next barn planned 😅

    All my youth I was taught and told never to hold a hammer or mallet halfway down the shaft - despite the fact that it seemed to me you had more control that way. Great to see a master-class from Kris on how to hold, hit and hammer. Build is looking sweet.

    II would love to do what you're doing one day. It seems there isn't a single "trade" you don't know how to do, its fascinating. I also love how well and instant you take over the job site and communicate to everyone exactly what is happening and what to do. It may appear bossy but its amazing how well and safe you make it look even with 3 people. Quality work!

    There is a distinctly medieval quality to this build. Those castle and cathedral builders must have faced similar challenges - manoeuvring great lumps of timber into place.
