They're usually just chinese workshops, the places where you can buy likes and dislikes for videos. But to make it look like they're normal users they will also like/dislike random videos to try and fool youtube algorithms.

CAD design, concrete foundation and steel "feet" arent that traditional, hehe ... but I get what you mean. The feet are going to be an improvement for the longevity of the construction in that kind of a climate.

The temporary floorboards look pretty cool for a barn tbh, chuck a few nails in to stop em moving and you're good. Loved seeing this thing come to life from a CAD model, some proper old school building techniques being brought back to life.

No hard hat's & no safety Harness. worries me if he was out sailing he would have the kit. even if, it wasn't used it wuld be their so it could be uresd. When asked where your safety kit. Coming along nicely, I've often wondered how certain joints were made , but after seeing the loose/floating tenon it makes things so much clearer and easier to understand no matter how much space you have it will eventually get filled up so I hope you've already got the next barn planned 😅

All my youth I was taught and told never to hold a hammer or mallet halfway down the shaft - despite the fact that it seemed to me you had more control that way. Great to see a master-class from Kris on how to hold, hit and hammer. Build is looking sweet.
II would love to do what you're doing one day. It seems there isn't a single "trade" you don't know how to do, its fascinating. I also love how well and instant you take over the job site and communicate to everyone exactly what is happening and what to do. It may appear bossy but its amazing how well and safe you make it look even with 3 people. Quality work!

There is a distinctly medieval quality to this build. Those castle and cathedral builders must have faced similar challenges - manoeuvring great lumps of timber into place.

I won't do that type of lifting without knee straps and a weight lifting belt .I wised up after a hernia .
