Great video, I use to be the track loader operator on a bunch of these type jobs. The builder I worked for owned around 50 CAT 953’s and was the largest builder in the Southeast. He also owned a wall company like the one in the video. We hardly ever used skid steers because the owner didn’t own any. I’m curious what the cost was for your basement. I would love to see a breakdown of it.

Another great video on the life of Matt and families future. Building Regs differ wildly from Country to country, so here In England GB, my old bungalow had a fair sized extension built on it way back in 2006, but as I live 30 metres (90 odd feet) from great beaches and due to past flooding nearly 100 years ago, the "footings" were actually fully extension sized but 1 metre deep (3 and a bit feet deep) of solid concrete a huge big solid block of concrete, its reasoning is that if it floods again, moving water "Scour" will not under cut the building - fingers crossed. lol cant wait to see more young Matt

Hi Matt loved the video mate, no matter the content you put out I enjoy it, after all I is YOUR channel and we are lucky visitors along for the ride!
A few years ago we had a new supermarket built in our town, they laid down the slab after it had dried and cured they would lay out thick plastic put formwork directly on the floor with window holes doorways electrical conduit and water, etc formed into it and poured the wall on the floor when dry they would pick it up and put it into place and start the next one (or 2 at a time) it went up super quick and with limited materials needed to be supplied for the walls .
Obviously the ceilings and roof where installed in the traditional way,
We are in a zone 1 earthquake area so it must be strong
That was built about 20 years ago now.
Looking forward to your next video
    Tony from Western Australia 🇦🇺

I'm a long-time viewer, and I love your content, Matt. I've been building houses out here in Oregon for about 30 years. Man, there's a huge difference in construction techniques regionally. We do foundations much differently! Also, never seen so many concrete workers without hats. They must love having concrete in their hair😂

Matt, if all Chris and Mike did was build ponds, they would be boring as hell. Watching Chris go from a pond build, to opening a medicine cabinet door with an excavator during a demolition of a house is also badass. Then watching Mike and the little guy in the shop working on their equipment is also badass. So, I for one like the randomness of not knowing what I will see in a new video.
The comment for this one...damn this was cool bean bud..😎 the form setters know their job, and rocked it out.
I been watching Chris build his cabin by the pond, so keep them coming sir. I really enjoy watching. 🤔🤔👍👍👍

Very nice video, showing an impressive rock and concrete conveyor with its extendable belt. That crue was really making fast work. The integrated French drain is also a nice invention. How is your wife feeling about moving into this remote area?
