I’m all for the shorter videos in addition to the weekly’s. Keep smashing that work out! Good viewing from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks so much Chris, appreciate it lots mate 🤜🤛
Looks good mate. Just a tip how we do it. When applying the mortar, fill back towards the wet product not away from it. That way your sure to avoid air pockets. Just started watching you and you are a very engaging young lad. 😉
Great work on the repointing, Izzy. Shorter videos when you can, highlighting specific work areas, sound good!
Thanks very much Alan! Trying a few things out and seeing how they go ☺️
Another great video mate. Really look forward to seeing you upload so would be happy to see more of these shorter videos along side the weekly upload.
Cheers Owen, there more videos for DIYers but some info for other brickies or apprentices ☺️
Nice video Izzy… like the short version as well as the norm… can I ask what wall chaser your using and what blade pls… cheers 👍🏽
Hiya mate it's just a machita wall chaser, not sure on the one mate! And a 10mm missionary blade
Always a class act… thanks for sharing the knowledge. 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks very much brother 🤜🤛
This channel needs way more subs
Thanks so much mate appreciate it! Hopefully we'll get there as a team mate 🤜🤛
if your right handed start at the right and work left to push in as you go its easier and quicker with no gaps
Keep up the great videos Izzy...
Thanks mate
Nice tidy job mate.
Short info videos are a great idea 👍🏻
Thanks Robin mate appreciate it
I like the shorter vids mate! Nice neat job! ❤
Cheers mate, short video out Wednesday, 30 min one out tomorrow
@@IzzytheBricky sound job!
Making it look easy. Great result.
Thanks Pete 💪
Enjoy both formats Izzy - longer storyline episodes are great but also enjoy the shorter how to videos. Can you do one on cleaning bricks? Someone mentioned something about products like acid to clean the face of old bricks that have all sorts of stains and crap in them… 😃💪👍🙏
Hiya mate, yes I'll try and get a video out on cleaning up bricks ☺️ tha ka for the support
Nice little in depth vid Izzy…. Even more editing 😫🤣🧱👍🏼
Cheers Steve! Mate this was a dream, 15 mins to film and 20 mins to put together 😂 feel like some of the other lads out there now who do what we do 😉 hope your well brother
@@IzzytheBricky All good ,1st day playing with our new Milwaukee toys 🟥🟥😍😍🧱👍🏽
@@SteveAndAlexBuild what a great team up mate! Couldn't be happier for you lads 🤜🤛☺️

What’s you model of chaser? Is it an angle grinder with a dust attachment? Thanks, useful video - got a small wall to do and this has been a great help
@@benjaminparkin3229 I think it was a wall chaser. But a 4" grinder with a dust attachment works
Good Job again Izzy
Let the short ones rolling
Thanks very much Ståle, appreciate it as always my mate 💪🤜🤛
Hi Izzy, I recently repointed a 1950's garden wall (imperial, lbc antiques) and it was a mare. Mortar was catching in the wavy lines, and the mortar beds were wildly out. I was going to do the whole house but not sure now! Any tips?
Any pictures or videos to show a better idea ?
Hi mate, it's always hard the first few times, I try to look and focus on the top of the blade and make sure it's just a fraction away from the bricks. All about taking your time until you get more use to it 🤜🤛 send pictures if your unsure mate
Nice job bro build and repair recommended this channel I love it
Thanks so much brother really appreciate it, and welcome 🤜🤛
Great video
Thanks mate
For lime mortar jobs could I use the
Hydrated lime type S
1 part lime
And 3 part building sand ?
Can you give me a brand on the building sand , I can’t find something that says building sand in a bad, is it a specific color etc? Did you add color on the lime mixed mortar,?
Thanks brother
He is using hydraulic lime.not hydrated...totally different !
I Use Iso wool the yelloe Hairy Mary for getting the mortar marks Off Engineering Bricks Comes Up Pretty Clean Also There's Always Some On Site
Aah yea mate I've used that before too on my jobs! Have a great weekend brother
Love all your content 👍
Thanks brother 💪🤜🤛
Short videos are equally as good mate, plenty of info as always onto the next one brother🧱🏴🤙👌👊👏✌️
Thanks very much mate appreciate it ☺️
Nice!!
Thanks Paul
Great video. How long should you wait before scraping off the excess and how long before finishing off and final clean up (for nhl 3.5 lime mortar)?
Hi mate, usually once it crumbles off easily with a trowel. So depending on how warm it is..30/40 mins when warm. 2 hours when cooler
Great vid, whats the wall chaser your using there have you got a link for that?
Hiya mate it's the Makita wall chaser ☺️
Short videos sound good
Cheers buddy
Quick tip Issac
Take that dewalt hose lock attachment off and attach the hose over the makita elbow directly
Trust me 😊
Yees mate, didn't even think about doing that, love it mate 🤜🤛
Hope your well brother ☺️
@@IzzytheBricky you’re very welcome mate.
It means you don’t need the duct tape etc.
That makita shroud is really heavy.
I have a 125mm makita which is really small and the shroud is actually heavier.
They are decent though.
Quick tip. Try a company called GOLZ Uk and ask for the MR-8 mortar raker blade
It will chase 25m2 and is about £20
Very decent video ☺
Thanks ☺️
А что за раствор вы наносили щёткой?
Short vids are great
Thanks Paul!
Brilliant mate any as has already been said maybe a short video and a weekly video if you have the time thanks again for sharing your experience and tips 👏😎
Cheers Neil! Going to see how I manage making these videos and then the longer ones too. All the best mate! Thanks for the support
@@IzzytheBricky my father in-law before he passed away was a brilliant bricky and you remind of him good luck with your future adventures happy to follow 😎
Excelente trabajo 👌🧱💪
Thanks brother🤜🤛🙂
I have always found the easiest way to do pointing is to back heel every pointing job you get offered
Cheers mate! Hope your doing well and thanks for the comment
What does back heel mean
@@Jaaammmbbbooo just means turn the work down as pointing is a job that not many people like to do
Hey Izzy when filling the joint with new mortar try a grout bag. Neater and faster. You can also use some white glue in trouble areas.
Would a grout bag work with NHL ?
I haven’t tried it but I find with Issac way I can get the finish as I apply

@@Southpoint2019 Brick, block and stone. You can control the fill and it is cleaner on the face brick. JUst cut the end of the grout bag to suit joint size. Tuck pointing works but slower and more clean up on face.
Cheers mate I've never used one, but might give it a go 💪💪
@@edskapin7171 Grout bags are no good with NHL, the mortar needs to be to wet which leads to shrinkage and cracking.
The business
Cheers brother
Good video, but those ground channels don't look 28mm to me 😉😛
"we're trying to get 28mm" 😉🤫 Hope your well brother
@@IzzytheBricky I'm good, hope you're keeping well 💪👍

2 video's a week dont mind if I do

If you want some good content I have 2 old really long garden walls for repointing 🤣
Where are they mate 💪💪💪

@@Theosplaytime you know where I am if you're after a quote mate ☺️
Not a clue ffs makes me laugh people doing how to videos with no proper experience completely wrong Sand take the lot back out and leave it to professionals
Cheers mate, I've done loads of lime mortar and sand cement pointing. Everyone has different methods, but this is how I was taught by 2 lads with a lifetime of experience reporting houses in London, Scotland and on private listed properties all over the country. Appreciate your comment though, have a decent weekend brother
