- We leave the Nant Ffrancon Valley with all its waterfalls behind and rejoin the main A5 in the Ogwen Valley, in front of us is Tryfan Mountain, part of the Glyderau group of mountains in Snowdonia , Tryfan is one of the most recognisable peaks in Britain, it stands at 917.5 meters tall (3010 feet) and is the 15th highest mountain in Wales.
Llyn Ogwen sits between the 2 mountain ranges, The Carneddau and Glyderau all part of Snowdonia aka Eryri, Ogwen is quite a shallow lake and is only just over 3 meters deep, folklore states it is where King Arthur cast the sword Excalibur into the lake.

Fantastic adventure. Beautiful view, and the lake looks amazing. It really does look beautiful even in the rain. Thanks for showing us around. Best wishes, Matt & Bec 😊❤
@@MattandBecExplores-lt9vf Thanks for watching, it really is a beautiful part of Wales, even better when the sun is shining but we can’t always have that lol, but the weather never stops us.
All the best ❤️😊 Andy
Wow that's a narrow road but stunning scenery! Lucky that there was nothing coming the other way,. We would like to take our campervan on the A5 as there must be some great walks there. We recognise Bettws Y coed now but we drove the other way last year. Thank you for sharing. Lovely video best wishes Elaine, Mike, Samuel and Thomas 😍😎👬
@@2twinsters Good evening, yes it’s very narrow, just how we like them we’re always looking for roads like that, bit narrow for a camper van though, there are lots of good places to stop and walk on the A5 and on that video just where we join the A5 coming out of the lane there is a path that takes you up into the mountains, no climbing needed but a very good walk, have done it myself a few years ago before we were on RUclips, there is a car park there but it does get full very quickly in holiday season, thanks for watching and have a lovey evening and weekend ❤️😊 Andy
@NessandAndy thank you - you too👍😊
Some mean and moody views there. Have you had some new filming gear since I Last watched. Apologies for absence, have been getting the thumbnails. Good to see you sticking with it.
@@markparish9072 Hi Mark, hope your well, still using the same system but a newer phone and now mounting the phone in a different place so we get better views, I don’t think there is any sign of us packing in we’re enjoying it to much 😉 good to hear from you 😊 Andy
