    ***A couple of corrections** The Cowy Road bridge opened in 1958 not 1948 as stated. The Guinness Book of Records started in 1955 and that is when the recognised the smallest house in Great Britain. Not 1920 as stated *** Thanks

    An amazing video! My parents, who sadly are both gone now, visited Wales 40 or so years ago. I remember them talking about Conwy and Llandudno. It was so nice to see the things they would have seen. I have a small percentage of Welsh heritage so it's also nice to see where some of my ancestors came from.

No one covers an area as well as you do, with such well shot videos, very interesting historical stories as well as lovely music. Terrific job, Simon and Will! So much information and history, plus wonderful views. I love the colorful Welsh flags. I'd definitely want to brush up on the language a bit before traveling there, so I'd have some chance of pronouncing the place names well enough to be understood.

    Just back from a short holiday in Llandudno during which I walked to Conwy and enjoyed a freshly made sandwich and cream donut from one of the shops featured in this video. Thank you for showing us around Conwy .. I think I missed a few things!

      @@MemorySeekers Honestly can't remember now .. about an hour and a half I think. Fairly straight route though and well worth it 😀

    If you go later in the evening you don’t have to pay the toll. 🤫
    Also a very nice road to drive a little bit sporty. Though I’m local and have done it thousands of times I’m sure, so please be careful if you’re a tourist. It’s a long drop into the sea if you’re silly with it.

    Another excellent video but The Guinness Book of Records was first published in 1955, so it couldn't have recognised the smallest house in 1920.

      Ah good to know I just assumed that’s when they did it. I guess it must have just been accepted as the smallest house in 1920 and then they added it to the book in 1955. Good catch!

    Conwy is indeed a very beautiful place. We have spent many a happy holiday there.
    The cable car trip featured though is a bit of a rip off at £13 and a £4 toll on the road I think we would pass on.
    Wales is sadly going to shoot it's self in the foot if it gets to commercial.

    I’m wondering how bothersome is the constant bell ringing from St Mary’s Church is and whether it would keep you up at night while you’re trying your best to sleep in your hotel. I hope to spend a couple of days in Conwy next year with friends and one of them is a light sleeper. I suppose ear plugs may be in order?

    • @MemorySeekers
      @MemorySeekers  2 месяца назад

      I don’t recall it being an issue when we visited, I guess it depends how close your hotel is to the church and time of year if you need a window open.

      @@mikeanton9125 Amazing hotel. I hope you enjoy the stay. You will be close the church so I think earplugs might be a safe bet if your room is on the side of the church. Enjoy!
