- The NHL has decided to decentralize the NHL entry draft, BUT they've also announced that the FINAL draft will be held at the Vegas Sphere!
This is very bittersweet as watching the draft unfold has always been a highlight for hockey fans, and it's a shame to lose that unique experience. Remember the thrilling chaos that followed the Corey Schneider trade? Those moments won't be the same without everyone gathered in one place. Let's hope the NHL reconsiders, and in the meantime, remember to subscribe for more NHL updates and videos.

The NHL Draft is currently a joke. Making it more like the NFL Draft is awesome. Can't wait for 2025.

It's bad for the sport when the league is closed and last ones gets rewarded of being bad. It's direct incentive to be bad with little repercussions (declining revenue from fans). Last one should relegate to AHL or whatever should be the lower league, and maybe draft thing should be totally random (live lottery on stage) ?
Btw, during last season, MLS grew to be more profitable than NHL, generates more money and gets bigger TV-deals.
