If I were to point to an example on why the Leafs are the single most pathetic organization in sports, this is it.

"Numbers are funny. They can measure you, time you, and analyze you all they want, but they all know what really matters is how you play the game….You ever hear the expression you can’t measure heart? Well the truth is they can’t measure any of it: heart… want… need…. You can’t measure a dream."
I will be forever sad that Carey Price wasn't able to bring us a Stantley cup. He worked so hard for the Habs and fans from other teams didn't get the chance to see that every night but his play level during that playoff run was something we could see weekly for years. Sometimes he would steal a 2-1 win or was just unlucky enough and would lose 3-2 but Price CARRIED the Canadiens for so long.

I know he never won a Cup, but to me, this run solidified the idea that Price's number needs to be retired by the Canadiens. Patrick Roy's trade will turn 30 next season and Carey Price is by far the single greatest Habs player since. There is an entire generation of fans to whom Price means as much as any number in the rafters.

I would love to see a video about the 2010 Flyers; got in to the playoffs in the last game of season in a shootout with the Rangers, took care of the Habs, went down 3 games to the Bruins and came back, including being down 3-1 in game 7, and finally lost to the Blackhawks. It was one of the most exciting playoffs ever and really felt like a Cinderella story at the time

I still think the Loss to Columbus was worse. Joonas Korpisalo had a shut-out in game one and game five of the playin round.
Pierre Luc Dubois was the offensive star scoring three including an overtime winner in game three. Nick Foligno had his value increase because they looked good versus the Leafs in this play in round.
I do remember Craig Button around game six talking about how Auston Matthews was leading the entire NHL in the playoffs in expected goals.

This was the death of the Maple Leafs, I use to be the biggest Leafs fan before this playoff round I literally talked so much shit I was that sure the cup was ours that year but not only did we not even win a single round in the bubble but we lost to our century old Arch Rivals in a series we should've swept them in, And just to turn the fucking knife the CN Tower with the Habs colors will always be the biggest Tea bag in sports history, This team broke my fucking heart and I don't care if they win 10 cups in a row I'll never give MLSE a cent of my fucking money again I'd rather donate to Donald Trump so he'd spend it on getting his old man balls tinted orange.

This was a glorious series to watch, because it shut up Leafs fans like never before. Going into that series, they were talking about how they had a deep run, HANDED to them (and there was), and they were acting like Montreal was a joke after Games 2, 3, and 4. Soooo happy to see Montreal pull this off and I was absolutely ecstatic to see the Leafs pull yet another choke job.

Yes Toronto has a lot of determination to win the stanley cup and they will win one day if they change their strategies a little bit. Maybe they should trade some of the players who are not doing well on the team and get a superstar goal tender like price and better defensive play.

I'm a Habs fan, I remember praying during this series. It something like: Dear God, just let us beat Leafs, that is all that I ask. I recall talking my friend who was a big Leafs fan around Game 5 and he was very cocky on the Leafs winning it all. I just replied... But it's the Leafs. I got a crazy memorable run and I could not complain that we did not win the cup (although it would have been sweet).
