As a generational Habs fan, when I began watching hockey, Price was in his golden age. As a little kid watching Canadiens games on TV with my family, I picked Carey out as my favourite player. And he still is. Long after he's gone, he will continue to be my idol. Just writing this comment has brought back memories of me at 8 or 9 or 10 years old, wearing pillows on my legs and pretending to be Carey Price. I loved this video. It was so well designed and perfectly showcased a career that was if nothing else, incredibly memorable/ Thank you Carey for everything you've done for the game, for my team, and for me.
i got to experience such a legend, im a goalie and im born in 2002 so i only remember having price there my whole by far my favorite player of all time!
Carey and PK were my favorite players growing up as a kid. I stopped watching in my early teens, but that 2021 run brought me back to the game. My dad and i watched every gane of those playoffs together, and ever since my love for the habs has come back. I love you carey!
The level of dedication and depth that you go to with these videos is unparalleled in the Hockey sphere. As someone from the UK, I am ravenous for hockey history and hockey insight since I never had any exposure to the game growing up. Channels like this really help me feel like I can still learn about the NHL and its history. Such great channel, so glad I found it. Keep up the amazing work bud!
if you have heard of him already “the hockey guy” has tons of hockey history videos even a series going year by year. i suggest checking out his playlists
Since I started watching hockey in 2004, the best player I ever saw play hockey was 2021 playoff Carey Price. Thanks for this great video, his legend deserves it. Cheers!
I’m pretty young compared to a lot of your demographic, but i grew up on watching Price and sobbed when he left. I wish they’d won in 2021 if only for him
I don’t care about hockey, but this… this video gave me goosebumps. Might seem like a standard comment but it ain’t often you get so emotional about something you don’t give a flying f*ck. Great great work man, keep it up.
Been asking for this exact video for a while, extremely excited that you actually made it! Edit: Holy christ this is a good video. I don’t think we ever truly appreciated Price for what he did for us while he was here. Made huge saves, stole the show more times than I can count, and he was the backbone of our team for YEARS. If he doesn’t get his number retired, I doubt there will be a soul brave enough to wear it.
As a fellow Williams Laker, watching him get injured in the 2014 conference finals was brutal. Im not even a habs fan but that should've been his year. Waiting 7 years to see him go that far again was a long time to wait but when he came back in 2021 the whole nation was on his side. To see him hoist the cup would've been a dream come true for everyone back home. Even though it didn't come to fruition...he will still remain a legend for life.
As a Habs fan and native Montrealer, this city loves Carey and the sacrifices he made for the team. A damn shame that the habs never gave him a proper team, but despite it all he was loyal to the city and the fans. We wish him the best with whatever he chooses to do next.

Not very many people can tell me stories I've already heard and keep me engrossed in a 45 minute video but this did it as well as anything. PLEASE keep making videos like this it is my sustenance.
Growing up a massive habs fan in the Carey Price era he will probably be my favourite player forever and I don't think I'll ever see a more reliable and impactful goalie on a team I cheer for
Price means the absolute world to me!!! Guy is just so laid back and calm off the ice and never quit on the ice. The canadiens will never be the same again without him playing
no doubt, the ABSOLUTE BEST hockey video i've seen and i'm 46!! stats, history, just the good amout of humour. Understanding and explaining at perfection the unique montreal market and an stellar narrative. Thank you!!!
The music behind this video is top tier, helps bring it all together. My personal favorite was the final feather act, and the ending credits. Well done, as usual.
Glad you think so lol, I threw the music together in about an hour because I was in a rush, so I was worried it would be the weak point, but I guess not!
This has to be atleast on of the best hockey player documents ever produced. I can't even imagine how many hours of research went into this. Well done, marvelously done! I'm a neutral NHL fan as I'm from Europe. I don't have ties to any NHL city or franchise so Carey Price never was anything special to me even though I could never question his skill or greatness and this video still felt somehow special to me. There still is one Habs goalie who has always been special to me. He played for the Canadiens when I started to watch and follow hockey during the early years of the 90s. Patrick Roy was always my favourite and will always be. I would love, totally love, a video like this about him even though I know his career pretty well already. Pinholes Graham is the one man who could make a 45 minute video about Roy, about his career and how he was/is as a person. I wish I could see that someday.
Carey Price didn't win the Stanley Cup in 2021, he won something that no other Montreal Canadiens goalie ever did or ever will again... The Clarence Campbell Bowl. That's automatic legend status in my book.
Keep in mind that his father flew him to practice even during winter storms. Carey price said that when he traveled with the team, he found it very funny when he saw his teammates getting nervous because of turbulences.
This made me cry and reminisce about his entire journey (and my childhood)! Thank you for creating this. Undoubtedly, it's the best tribute to Carey Price.
As a québécois, I can say that the historical / cultural point of view on the team was spot on, the expression “Sainte Flanelle” and the saint trinity of Richard, Beliveau and Lafleur says it all, this team has a very rare and special cultural dimension that you rarely find elsewhere
I really love this video. As a Habs fan who only started watching hockey last season, I love hearing the tales of players from the past. I wish I could have watched Carey play, but I also accept that he has done his time and deserves a break. I just wish the team could have performed to his level.
I always had to reconcile being a Bruins fan and owning Price as my dynasty keeper league goaltender during his prime. Hate the Habs but will always appreciate Price.
man, im a sens fan and watching this brought back so many memories. tearing up ngl, Price, Lundqvist, Holtby, Quick, Crawford, late stage Luongo, Rask, Rinne, Thomas, so many heroes of the 2010s man (shout Craig Anderson)
Carey Price is the reason I love hockey. I’ve been a generational Habs fan but I came of age during the mid 2010s and the 2014 playoff run until the Kreider incident will always be some of my most cherished memories. A lot of my friends are die hard leaf or bruins fans but back then even they could admit that we had the very best between the pipes. Had he been on basically any other team in those years he could have won the cup. He will go down as one of the greats. I wish he could have won it for us habs faithful so much, but I wish he could have won it for him even more.
I remember being in the 7th grade and having to do a report on a canadian hero. Without a shadow of a doubt Price was the guy who came to mind. I wish hed come back to play 1 more season. But im content with him being the greatest goalie ive ever seen on the ice.
I remember being in a Cage aux Sports to watch a playoff game in the 2010 playoffs, and I had my Carey Price jersey on. I was getting plenty of hostility from habs fans around me. As if wearing a Price jersey instead of a Halak jersey was sacrilegious. I never doubted that Price was the guy. On a side note, that Kreider slide to Price's knee will haunt me forever. Habs would have faced the 8th seed LA kings in the finals. It was the year to win it all.
Carey Price is the most talented, instinctive goalie I've seen - and I've watched a lot of hockey. So mechanically crisp that he's almost a robot, and he also has whatever Hasek gene that lets you predict the future when you're out of position.
The 2014 playoffs give me the vibe of a Urinatingtree quote "We have found the only way to stop a brick wall in net is to have an even thicker brick wall" (referring to the preds 2017 playoff run) Like Price was great but there are very few goalies who could have outdueled prime King Henrik
Love the content! If I may just make a small suggestion: adding a column with the final score when showing playoffs series stats would add a lot of value / context to the information conveyed. It's almost impossible to know who won a game when only showing goalie stats, unless sv% = 1.000 ; ) Anyways, very good stuff!!
It doesn’t get better then 2015 Carey. Growing up a goalie in Montreal everyone wanted to be like him. He’s an Montrealers idol. This video took me back to being a 5 year old kid with my dad at the Bell Center. Great vid man and thanks for the memories!
Another amazing video, your production and writing ability continue to grow with each of these I watch. It's a great testament to the strengths of these videos that long-time viewers (myself) and those who don't follow the sport (some of my friends) are both routinely captivated by these videos whenever we watch them. I'm always looking forward to see what's next, as the passion behind these videos is truly there.
im a habs fan from hamilton. some of my earlyist memories is following that calder run in the hamilton spec. carey price was the goalie of my favourite team for most of my childhood. i dont think ive ever cried while watching a hockey youtube video before. thank you
The Habs never had a 80pts scorer all those year. INSANE, he never had any offence what if he played for the Penguins would he have been as good as when he won gold? We will never know sadly. Great video! Love it
The instagram message brought me to tears, this man gave everything he could give to the franchise, the city and the fans, while sacrificing his own mental health. He wanted to win at all cost, but no one helped him. I wish he could’ve won a cup.
These are so good. I still am curious how you’d rank heartbreaking Ovi era Capitals losses. Just a team consistently on the wrong side of history, but seemingly so close every year. From the run and gun teams of the late 2000s to the overcorrection to the Halak series (“Defensive Boudreau”/Dale Hunter/Adam Oates Purgatory) to the Trotz-led super teams of the mid-late 2010s. So many small moments and 50-50 plays that if went the other way, could have completely shifted history. They were the opposite of a team of destiny until 2018, when the hockey gods decided they had suffered enough.
Absolutely love Price. He and Subban are the reasons I feel in love with professional hockey. Bring a Jets fans getting swept by them in 2021 was bitter sweet. Really wish he got a cup
What a beautiful tribute to my all time favourite player. It’s sad to know that he never won a cup playing but I hope he can get a job with an nhl franchise (preferably the habs) eventually and get to hold that cup. I will forever wear my Price jersey with pride knowing I have the name and number of an amazing person and an amazing player
Amazing video, he was The goalie to look up to. People often mention about his ability in the net but his ability to retrieve the puck in the zone and make the 1st pass to his Defense. The guy was stellar at it... heck I remember one time he even aimed at a camera in a practice to show how mad he was about the medias. Hockey was breathing through him. He's the greatest goalie in NHL history hands down even without a stanley cup.
Another great video by you. I don’t know if you take suggestions but I’d like you to cover the Avs vs Stars rivalry WCF in either 99 or 2000 since I felt like below the Avs vs Wings rivalry, it was the Stars vs Avs rivalry which caused Dallas to go back to back to the final.

Just writing this comment has brought back memories of me at 8 or 9 or 10 years old, wearing pillows on my legs and pretending to be Carey Price. I loved this video. It was so well designed and perfectly showcased a career that was if nothing else, incredibly memorable/ Thank you Carey for everything you've done for the game, for my team, and for me.
i got to experience such a legend, im a goalie and im born in 2002 so i only remember having price there my whole by far my favorite player of all time!
stop, i'm gonna cry. he sucked, just like that team.
If jon wont give us a hockey dorktown, this is the next best thing. Great video man, keep it up. The effort shows!
Carey and PK were my favorite players growing up as a kid. I stopped watching in my early teens, but that 2021 run brought me back to the game. My dad and i watched every gane of those playoffs together, and ever since my love for the habs has come back. I love you carey!
It was a great run
damn pinholes graham got me tearing up at the end of this !! what an excellent tribute to an amazing human
As a quebecker who often critized him a lot, this video touched me deep
I wonder if you criticized Patrick Roy as much as you did Carey Price? 🤔
@@JohannesS I'm not a Boomer 🤣🤣
I was under 10 when he left MTL, relax Karen 🤣🤣
The level of dedication and depth that you go to with these videos is unparalleled in the Hockey sphere.
As someone from the UK, I am ravenous for hockey history and hockey insight since I never had any exposure to the game growing up. Channels like this really help me feel like I can still learn about the NHL and its history.
Such great channel, so glad I found it. Keep up the amazing work bud!
if you have heard of him already “the hockey guy” has tons of hockey history videos even a series going year by year. i suggest checking out his playlists
i've been dying for a jon bois type documentary but for hockey, so glad this guy is actually doing it
I didn’t have “video about Carey Price makes me cry” on my bingo card for today, but here we are
Since I started watching hockey in 2004, the best player I ever saw play hockey was 2021 playoff Carey Price.
YES! Price is my favorite NHL player ever!!!! Caarey! Caarey! Caaaarey!
As a Habs fan and native Montrealer, this city loves Carey and the sacrifices he made for the team. A damn shame that the habs never gave him a proper team, but despite it all he was loyal to the city and the fans. We wish him the best with whatever he chooses to do next.
Thats fake my Guy 90% of mtl/habs fan hate Price 95% of french fans hate Price too for majority of habs and mtl fans Price was nothings and je was the trouble in the team but for some ppl fan of this team je was the greatest goalie ever and in the league fans/players/etc he was the best irs just at mtl Who ppl hate im

@@boudzx4105 you're such a clown. You have no idea what you're talking about. Just say you don't like him

BABE WAKE UP NEW PINHOLES GRAHAM VIDEO
Bro I’m tired, come back to bed dawg.
Very honored to watch price growing up, he is the reason why I’m a Canadiens fan. Thank you Carey!
sometimes i wake up and get sad knowing he’ll never get a cup. this video is a great tribute to the player who defined my love of hockey from my childhood to my adolescence. thank you.
His 2014 series against the bruins was the best I’ve ever seen a goalie play.
You must have missed Halak against Pittsburgh and Washington
As a MASSIVE hockey fan, and an even bigger Jon Bois fan, thank you so much for this video. The production style, the storytelling, the sometimes unhinged jokes, i seriously love it all.
Another banger video by The Great Pinholio!
no doubt, the ABSOLUTE BEST hockey video i've seen and i'm 46!! stats, history, just the good amout of humour.
That's automatic legend status in my book.
i like this video. as a lifetime habs fan, price has always been my favourite hockey player ever
A very nice tribute to one of the greatest goalies I will ever watch in my lifetime. Even though he caused nightmares for my Senators constantly.
Price was truly a force to behold on the ice. That covid year run was magical as well. All things considered.
this might be the greatest video i’ve ever watched
He was special 🥲
He is special
He will forever be special
Carey Price is one of the greats

These videos are legitimately some of the best hockey content on youtube
Keep in mind that his father flew him to practice even during winter storms. Carey price said that when he traveled with the team, he found it very funny when he saw his teammates getting nervous because of turbulences.
This made me cry and reminisce about his entire journey (and my childhood)! Thank you for creating this. Undoubtedly, it's the best tribute to Carey Price.
im freaking sobbing rn man
As a québécois, I can say that the historical / cultural point of view on the team was spot on, the expression “Sainte Flanelle” and the saint trinity of Richard, Beliveau and Lafleur says it all, this team has a very rare and special cultural dimension that you rarely find elsewhere
I really love this video. As a Habs fan who only started watching hockey last season, I love hearing the tales of players from the past. I wish I could have watched Carey play, but I also accept that he has done his time and deserves a break. I just wish the team could have performed to his level.
Holy shit that has to be the best hockey video I ever saw!! Amazing job man, keep up the good work!
At 25:48 ish, you've posted the list of Goalie Hart trophy winners, I think you forgot that Jose theodore won it in 2002?
I always had to reconcile being a Bruins fan and owning Price as my dynasty keeper league goaltender during his prime. Hate the Habs but will always appreciate Price.
Great video and super storytelling. Those of us who remember the Habs of the late 60's through the 80's came alive again in the Price period.
hands down the best hockey channel around
In my 24 years of life I think this stands alone as the greatest RUclips video I've ever watched.
man, im a sens fan and watching this brought back so many memories. tearing up ngl, Price, Lundqvist, Holtby, Quick, Crawford, late stage Luongo, Rask, Rinne, Thomas, so many heroes of the 2010s man (shout Craig Anderson)
It’s amazing how much of an impact Jon Bois has had on youtube sports content. Love the inspiration!
A superb documentary on the career of Carey Price. Good work as always PHG.
I remember being in the 7th grade and having to do a report on a canadian hero. Without a shadow of a doubt Price was the guy who came to mind. I wish hed come back to play 1 more season. But im content with him being the greatest goalie ive ever seen on the ice.
HOW DO YOU ONLY HAVE 11K SUBS WTF YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 70K
I remember being in a Cage aux Sports to watch a playoff game in the 2010 playoffs, and I had my Carey Price jersey on. I was getting plenty of hostility from habs fans around me. As if wearing a Price jersey instead of a Halak jersey was sacrilegious. I never doubted that Price was the guy. On a side note, that Kreider slide to Price's knee will haunt me forever. Habs would have faced the 8th seed LA kings in the finals. It was the year to win it all.
What an incredible love letter to maybe the best goalie of the 2010s. Well done
Carey Price is the most talented, instinctive goalie I've seen - and I've watched a lot of hockey. So mechanically crisp that he's almost a robot, and he also has whatever Hasek gene that lets you predict the future when you're out of position.
As long as you post a new video I’m gonna keep on watchin em keep it up 👍
The 2014 playoffs give me the vibe of a Urinatingtree quote
"We have found the only way to stop a brick wall in net is to have an even thicker brick wall" (referring to the preds 2017 playoff run)
Like Price was great but there are very few goalies who could have outdueled prime King Henrik
Incredible. Going to dive into your lore throughout the weekend, insane quality.
Love the content!
If I may just make a small suggestion: adding a column with the final score when showing playoffs series stats would add a lot of value / context to the information conveyed. It's almost impossible to know who won a game when only showing goalie stats, unless sv% = 1.000 ; )
Anyways, very good stuff!!
This may be my favorite comment ever! 😁
I'm so glad you and yours hold it in such high regard and I'll continue to do my best :)
As a 2000 born Habs fan that played goalie growing up... this was a very special video ❤️
im a habs fan from hamilton. some of my earlyist memories is following that calder run in the hamilton spec. carey price was the goalie of my favourite team for most of my childhood. i dont think ive ever cried while watching a hockey youtube video before. thank you
You forgot Jose Theodore with Montreal won the Hart Trophy in 2001; goaltender, also won the Vezina. As a Caps fan, he played for your team too
The Habs never had a 80pts scorer all those year.
This video is absolutely beautiful. As a habs fan, I am amazed. THANK YOU
it’s like a jon bois video, it’s beautiful.
We really need a whole video on that 2014-15 season by itself. Truly the Year of the Goalie.
This is well edited hopefully it gets more attention because you deserve it!
It won't be out for a while but I've made some good headway on a video of that nature...
Keep this this up stud, love the style. Carey is a A1 habs legend. The habs have a mount rushmore of goalies and hes on it
Your Jon Bois inspired storytelling and editing have me very fascinated with hockey. Great video!
Any chance at a Hasek video? New subscriber cause of this video :)
Absolutely phenomenonal video. I'm not even a Habs fan and this made me want to root for them.
Leo is such a treasure.. we gotta keep him save forever ❤
So calm, cool and confident in what he does and love.
I don’t know if you take suggestions but I’d like you to cover the Avs vs Stars rivalry WCF in either 99 or 2000 since I felt like below the Avs vs Wings rivalry, it was the Stars vs Avs rivalry which caused Dallas to go back to back to the final.
this is fantastic, really well made!
