    Henrik Lundqvist and Carey Price are two of the best NHL goalies to ever play. Despite both playing on mediocre teams their whole career, they carried these franchises to deep playoff runs. While both are have stopped playing professional hockey, they shared a shockingly similar career of success, failure, and disappointment.

      @@Nothing_important90the Rangers never had any star players while Hank was there. Nash never really delivered and everyone else was slightly above average at best. Also, Hanks all time GSAx of over 190 is so far above everyone else, that it's not even really THAT close lol. Price is definitely also a generational goalie but not quite the same as Lundqvist.

      Without the Price injury in 2014 the Habs would have beat the Kings in a 93 rematch. Hank never makes the finals and Prices career goes to a next level. Carey is probably still playing without the Kreider injury.

      CuJO is the reason, I cheer for the Leafs. (He is my idol! He was the first name on one of my jerseys.)

      Rask was the phantom that hunted me/us for his whole career.
      Lundquist was the one, who remembered me of Hasek, dont know why, playstyle is very different.

    I really dislike how people sometimes say there careers were "wasted" because we need to realize not everyone can win the cup and the cup is actually a team award not individual and we are talking about these guys as individuals. These 2 men individually have had many other accolades like Vezinas, Olympic gold medals, etc and at least they went to the Stanley Cup Final at least once cause even just going to the final and being the runner up is just as honorable as the winner. These things have made them Hall of famers first ballot absolutely and obviously one of the top goaltenders of not just the 2010s but all time really. These 2 were ofc one of my biggest idols growing up and I am saying this cause people have a lot of misconceptions about both.

    • @odeszaa
      @odeszaa 10 месяцев назад

      When it comes to nhl careers these two players had theirs wasted. It’s a fact. Very little playoff success and poor management didn’t allow these two goalies to prosper. Obviously not everyone can win the cup but when two of the greatest goalies ever only had one Stanley cup appearance each is a travesty.

    • @ethanparker7900
      @ethanparker7900 10 месяцев назад

      you don't need cups to prosper. They flourished in all other ways. It isn't a travesty because they won olympic gold medals and vezinas and got to experience a Stanley cup final so it is NOT a travesty. Not everyone can win it unfortunately. The cup would cease to exist if everyone could since there wouldn't be enough room for names. There can only be one winner each year. It takes a team to win not just certain individuals.@@odeszaa

    • @SatanicsWolves
      @SatanicsWolves 10 месяцев назад +1

      Price and Lundqvist had garbage teams in front of them.
      Rinne had arguably the best defens ein the league in front of him, and good two-way forwards as well.
      Rinne truly started his career when he was like 26, because while Price and Lundqvist were drafted at 18 and thrown in the net short after (especially price) in front of the fans of 2 of the craziest markets (the pressure..), Rinne was barely making the cut in Ligaa. Only after 3 miserable seasons there he was able to have a great one a get drafted in 8th round as a 21 years old. He then spent 4 more seasons before finally getting in front of an actual NHL net for real.
      All that to say, if Rinne had developped fast enough for it to make sense to put is name in the same sentence with Carey Price and Henrik Lundqvist, he would have ended up in front on an NHL net at 20, and since at 20 he had 3GAA and sub 900 eff in Ligaa, that would have been the end of his career. His entry level contract would have expired while he would have been a back up in the AHL or in the east coast league, and no other team would have signed him. He would have wend back to Europe like many, and that's it.
      So in fact, he was really lucky to be a late bloomer. That way he was able to have his entry level contract during his prime and secure himself a career with a great team in front of him.
      Oh, and also... Both Price and Lundqvist literally carried their respective team on 2-3 deep playoffs run. And when I say carried, I mean they each boast even better stats in playoffs career, than regular season career. While Rinne's playoffs stats were below his regular season stats, and he will be unfortunately remembered for being the guy who consistently fumbled the ball for nashvile during playoffs. Because what all those stats don't tell is that Rinne in playoffs would pull a goaltending clinic out of his bag, only to get pulled the next game because he was awful.
      Those are all the reasons in my opinion, for why Rinne's name should never be included with the 2 others.

    1:55 - How is that relevant? The Vezina Trophy has nothing to do with the playoffs. It's based purely on NHL regular season performance.

      @@incumbentvinyl9291 Congrats, you commented about a mistake, thats so amazing! Maybe you should remember that this is the internet. Not a book or research study. Its just a video, and if it has a slight mistake, nobody cares because nobody will correct it and nobody will see your comment due to it having zero likes. Thats proof that Nobody cares.
      Now listen, why did you even make that comment then? Was it so other people know about the mistake? Well guess what, the only person seeing your comment is me, and I was only able to see it due to me checking your comment history of your rants about things nobody cares about. If people liked you and wanted you to do this, they would like your comment. But they do not, clearly, so there is ZERO point in making that comment. Maybe you should get in contact with the owner of the channel. Not the public that DOESNT care.

      @@incumbentvinyl9291 No this is not a "forum" this is a youtube comment section, where nobody cares about slight mistakes in videos. Because if people did care and found it interesting, there would be comments about slight mistakes under every video. Maybe you should go to an actual forum where you're supposed to correct mistakes bud.

I'd rather be a 12 year old than a random person that sits all day and writes about small mistakes on videos and has zero likes and nobody cares about their efforts.
      Advice: go somewhere where people want you to correct mistakes. Name me one person that cares about your comments other than you.
