I feel you pain sir or mam. Things have changed drastically. But lets not get it twisted that we are doing what you may have done in the past. CONTINUE TO LEARN AND FIGURE IT OUT. Yes unions would be a benefit, but understand that you are hoping someone else isn’t able to feed their family. I believe we all have the right to do what we have to do & deal with what we have to do to make that happen. Many of us has had shit handed to us! The answer isn’t always the answer.
@@HotshotMacc I completely understand & respect a man or women providing for their family… BUT deregulation KILLED the UNIONS in the trucking industry so how about those family’s?? Now look it’s coming back around the circle… Unions back in the day provided EVERYONE in the industry because back in the 70’s 90% of trucks on the road were teamsters.. Provided great benefits,pension,overtime after 8 hours & weekends off… Not the crap that’s going on now when driver after driver is under cutting each other…Also what’s going on NOW is a darn shame because it’s again hurting the working man & women… BUT all I’m saying is this style of trucking ISNT GOOD for the working man & only for corporate America..

It’s cycle we are caught in. Families were affected then and now and will continue. Something has to give BUT let’s talk about those solutions rather than wishing the next man fails. 🫡

@@HotshotMacc I ran for a dude from India and when the broker played dirty on a load, he would send an on hand freight notice to everyone who has an interest in the load and then we just park and wait until they pay before delivering the load. Brokers will still report you in their little system tho. But the point is a carrier isn't powerless if you ever really need to stand on principle.

@armobyzantine5881 I'm not sure of the name of it but I know for sure brokers have a place they report about bad experiences with a carrier and you have no way to dispute it. 1 bad report can make a lot of brokerages or companies not work with you.

I had a breaker call cops on me and they told him it's a personal matter. They tried to get me to run another 500 miles free
"I'm gonna call the sheriff if you don't bring me back my load for a cheaper rate" obviously this "Long time" dispatch doesn't know what a contract is lol all truckers need to start recording their calls like this and post them with the broker/dispatch company info and I guarantee you there will be no more cheap freight lol

The owner apologized to me and he wired me $100 for his employee behavior! This guys are Bullies!!!!

I did a load this week 2500 miles ny to CA they payme 5200 when I get there reciver customer asked me how much I get for it I'm said 5200 he said we pay 12000 this is what is happening right now to us broker are taken all the many and we got to work hard gas price , dot ,brok down this needs to stop
