Man I was working in a warehouse 12hrs shift had a old f150 bought a used 24 ft trailer only did hotshots on my days off,I was able to quit my job and upgrade truck to a diesel.
You gotta start somewhere just stay motivated
Rule #1 from experience in hot shot been doing it for 5 years part time . The only rule actually to me PAY OFF YOUR DEBTS IN LIFE . Then pay off your truck and trailer ! Then work hotshot! I got house paid cars paid. I work hotshot 3 times a week when I feel like it !!!!!!!
Thank you for this
May have been said and I missed it, but it needs to be said. Unless you have some form of prior experience your first year is one massive learning curve. You really need a mentor. leasing on with a seasoned company or having close relationships with someone in the business is a must. As Jason stated the first 90 days it's very tough to book freight and to take it further a lot of brokers still say one year. About a month ago I was told no over not being two years in, I laughed at him and said cool have a nice day. Do not start your own authority unless you have the financial ability to cover any household or business debt for the first 6 months as your not going to earn well for the first year and you need to be learning not freaking out how your going to cover all the expenses. It can be a lonely life out here so make sure you're built for that as many aren't.
I honestly wish I done better research on this topic you covered before I jumped in
Well said nailed it
I’m currently working on my CDL CLASS A license. I want to transport automobiles with a 3 car trailer. After thinking more into it, I decided it may be smarter for me to get a 40 foot flatbed instead of a car hauler trailer. With a flatbed I won’t be limited to just hauling cars. I figure I can haul three cars max on a 40 foot flatbed, and I also can haul general freight on my flatbed. Do you think I can be successful coming into a market like this in 2024?
Id like to try it out by leasing onto someone. Im in Canada though. Have a cdl but i wanna try non cdl
Good stuff JLove! thanks Bud
If any body can help me find a solid Co. to lease out of in Texas I would appreciate it
Very interested in getting into the industry more and more I’m in a unique situation I have a decent passive income so I don’t have to make a ton of money right away. So my business will have time to grow
Great video. So I am totally uninformed in this business however my brother and nephew, both owner operators, are very well informed. I have the assets to help them get started. I have a Dodge Ram 3500 and also a 30 ft flatbed trailer that I inherited from my mother in law. The question I have is I want to focus in on a specific niches (the marketer in me) to distinguish ourselves from everyone. What are some suggestions you may have to make sure we start off with a bang?
I’ve had my CDL for approximately three years, my boss said he’s willing to help me start my hot shot trucking business. Is the logistics major from the military, what are your thoughts?
question for you is it better to start with a company doing hotshot then branch out on your own
How much for sleeper and location for buy one brother. Need for my setup. God bless you
Man i thinking about getting into this. I have a cdl but nobody is hiring new drivers in Florida, well thats what their telling me.
Just bought a new Ram 3500 srw and thinking on getting into this.... been interested in this for a few years now.
same just scared to just jump in
@@LeoXplores jumping in isn't the problem making money in a timely manner
@LeoXplores they say you need life 6 months of cash on hand in order to survive the 1st year in already 80k in the truck
@@thegoodfriendsnetwork oof i better get working haha
Is there a way to talk to you over the phone? I have some questions that won’t take long! Thanks
Anybody know what’s a good company to lease out of in MA ?
I have driven hotshot set ups off and on for the last few years . I recently was offered a company that has had their authority for 15 years with great ratings across the board . It also comes with a truck and trailer with a lot of life left in them . They are asking 120k . Would it make more sense to buy the company or go buy a truck , trailer , and get my own authority ? I really feel like it's a great opportunity , I just want to hear the opinion of someone who is more knowledgeable .
I am going to start hot shot and in February and looking for a good company to lease on with I would be honored to speak with you on the phone about it or lease on with you. I’ve got 22 years of driving experience and about 10 years of flatbed experience. Thanks
Is your pickup has sleeper like semi truck and how you did it
You can buy them. Hooks up to the rear window so you can crawl in and out.
can I use my CDL B for cdl hot shot or do you need class "A" ?
You will need a class A my dude
May be non cdl hot shot but not cdl hotshot.,
can you open the translation, please
Right on. I really wanna find my company to work under first, and start with no payments, ie 00-01 f550 ima build up. But i dont wanna buy/build truck till i find someone to work with. How hard is it to find a company to work with a new driver? thanks.
Notice he didn't respond because he's fake. It will be real hard for you to get on as a new Driver anywhere in fact most insurance companies won't take you
What company install your sleeper, please text my friend?!
Unless your equipment is paid for, you will not make any money in hotshot. I looked into this, you will be lucky to make $50,000 a year after expenses.
I dont know who you get your facts from but the more you drive the more you make
I am getting into this soon.
Letting government give me a grant for a tiny home with solar power for free.
$100,000. Grant.
Getting another $125,000.00 business grant in trucking.
Got a place to get trucks dirt cheap at wholesale costs.
Looking at a 2024 ford f450 super duty 4x4 dually quad cab at $4,000.00 inside the u.s.at a dealer.
Just need trailers 53' flatbed 4 axles goose neck trailer.
Looking for a 2024 ford f450 super duty 6x6 pickup.
Or a 2024 dodge T Rex 6x6 quad cab.
Looking at making my own diesel fuel from plastic or going to gas engines but ran on water by electrolysis.
Since water is Free and its everywhere.
The old ww2 trucks were able to run on water then if they could not find fuel.
Really why give away your pay check on fuel bill daily.
500 gallons of fuel x $4.00 per gallon.= $ 2,000.00 a week you are giving away for no reason.
( $2,000.00×52 weeks=$104,000.00 yearly given to petroleum companies.)
Let me know how that all works out for you!
Fake Utube he has no MC numbers he all bullshit
You right bro, MC-1084826 is not my company.
