how to change the mainboard /pcb board /control board in a Chinese diesel heater 2kw link below will fit 2kw 3kw 5kw 8kw heaters www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1442743325...
i noticed in your box build video that you had mounted the pump with the outlet pointing down. it should be upwards at a 45 degree angle.air must remain trapped in the pump causing premature wear.
I had the same problem with my diesel heater, turned out that I had to change all of the fuel lines ( had the nylon version, so that was weird) and the diesel tank with new one. I thought the problem was the pump, but it ticked just like yours, and after I change the fuel lines the diesel heater works fine.
Hi Mark. Did you fix the diesel heater? Mine's doing something very similar: the heater starts blowing and glow plug, pump icon appears but no pump ticking. If I disconnect the pump, the heater knows it so there 'seems' to be power but it won't tick. What did you do in the end? Thanks
Pump installed incorrectly - insufficient lubrication (and cooling) from diesel fuel. If not already too worn, correct orientation 30-45º (outlet uppermost) may solve the problem. Totally SUCKS, I know, but that's the way these shitty pumps are made = no rings, no nothing, just metal-on-metal.
That's too bad hopefully you got it fixed I have a diesel heater with less than 2 hours on it won't start .. I changed the pump replaced the wire harness .. still error code E8 junk
@MrMeltedwellies what happened in the end? Mine is doing the same thing. Almost brand new, but my pump stopped working just after the heater fell off my work station last week. I get continuity through the pump but like yours, once the pump icon comes on, nothing happens. I'm not sure what to replace or test next... any ideas? Thank you.
If you could wobble the camera around just a bit more it could create such a blur your effort would be unrecognizable and then this could become a popular guessing game
These things are like Rangerovers: absolutely fantastic - when they're working!
Yep your right there

Have you upgraded your wire loom with thicker wires for power to decrease the voltage drop. I need to do it and want to know how easy it is or not
Hi can give me a rough size of the space your heating. I'm not sure if I need 1 or 2 for my garage. Thanks

According to @foxy1960, check the thermostat sensor on the heater body. His comment is a few entries below.
Have you tried swapping the thermostat sensor on the heater body ?

Mine still broken
If you changed the pump, & didn't prime it - your first few starts will generate the E8 error code.
@ArifGhostwriter I can't even get the pump to tick
It's the pump. They develop an intermittent fault.
