  • In this video we look at a replacement rotary controller for the Chinese Diesel Heaters/Parking heaters.
    Controller on Amazon: t.ly/RoWpR
    ERROR CODES:
    --------------------------
    E00 - NO ERROR
E01 - Under voltage - your battery does not have enough power, please recharge.
E02 - Over voltage - Voltage is over the permitted level, reduce voltage to 12v.
E03 - Glow plug fault. Check leads and replace if necessary. Can be low voltage.
E04 - Fuel pump disconnected. Check lead to fuel pump, check connector is clicked in place. Can be low voltage.
E05 - Overheat. Check air intake is not restricted at rear of heater, check fan is not impeded. Ensure that the installed heat vent is not blocked / restricted. Also check that heating duct has not been crushed, thus restricting air flow.
E06 - Fan motor fault - Normally caused by low voltage.
E07 - Communication between controller and heater broken, check lead and connection plug. Again can be low voltage.
E08 - Low fuel or air in fuel lines - refuel vehicle, check fuel filter is full if fitted. Can be low voltage.
E10 - One or more of the above error codes and the unit has been restarted a number of times without success.

Thanks for that. My rotary controller only works on heaters with '6 blade' controllers (not on the ones that use the newer '3 blade' controller). Or to be more exact, it works on heaters that have a motherboard that work with 6 blade controllers. I bought the rotary controller as a spare in case the LCD controller fails. It flashes when there's an error, e.g. 7 lights flashing means error 07. I would use it if it had remote control as well.

Yeah different circuitry in the 6 and 3 blade controllers and they arent compatible. I'm not sure if they make a rotary controller which works with the 3 blade.

Yeah I am beginning to think this is the pick of the bunch to be honest. Just simple and works!

Great video! Its all new to me, just installed my heater in the workshop tonight, as far as i understand when you turn the wheel on your controller it just adjusts the fan speed? What about the temperature? Thanks

Yeah you are correct it adjusts the fan speed. The interesting bit about how they work is the fan speed is not just for the hot air it puts out which warms us up. The fan speed is also for how much air it pushes into the combustion chamber and in turn how much fuel gets injected (more air more fuel = more heat). So yes the temperature/amount of hot air produced goes up with the fan speed.

Were you able to locate a set of written instructions for this controller?

    • @berko79
      @berko79  5 месяцев назад +1

No, I wasn't able to find any instructions at all for this controller. That's part of the reason I decided to make this video. Luckily it's pretty simple but things like the error codes is a bit different and could easily be missed.
