    My first diesel heater install, yesterday finished. Ran great! Was 17° this morning so i ran it for an hour on 1.7 hz, with exhaust fan running was 24° inside for an hour. Very impressive. Used the cheap tubing and mounted the fuel pump on to my frame with the rubber holder and can't hear it at all!

Then system shows 020 - this is how many seconds should it pump the oil. You press OK to start and when oil reaches fire chamber you press OK once more to stop and Power button (right middle) to leave back to main menu.

    Hi Steve, Today I cleaned the fuel,line from tank to pump. Installed new filter and pump with new clips. Primed the line to pump removing air bubbles. I continued to prime and eventually using old controller and motherboard the unit started. It ran for nearly one hour from h1 to h6 but when the unit cooled down up came E-04and the unit wouldn’t start again. I changed the controller (identical to yours) then the motherboard for compatibility but up came E-04 again and never started. I have checked power at the pump 4.15 volts increasing to 9.8 to 10.15 volts when both arrows pushed for priming. I don’t know if I have a break in the power because I’m nearly at lost end what else it could be? I think it’s nearly time to remove and replace? What would you do? Thanks Neil

      Neil you are not having much luck with this heater are you. So let me get this straight you have changed the pump, motherboard, controller, fuel filter and cleaned fuel line. It was working fine until you turned it off and it was going through its cooling down process, that's when E4 came up is that right ? Do you know someone that has the same heater ? If so can you borrow their pump just to try. There is only the wiring loom left.
      Let me do some research and i will get back to you in a bit. Where is your boat ?

    Is there a way to program this heater to come on at a certain temperature and turn itself off at a target temperature? Or does a person have to monitor the temperature of the space and turn it on and off manually? As in while you're sleeping and you are sweating and wake up and realize that the temperature is very hot in your sleeping space? Or if the temperature falls below freezing and you are freezing as well and realize that in order to not freeze to death, you must turn on the heater?

      Hi Neil,
      I would first check fuel filter is clean then that you have good connection's as they can corrode a bit over time but it's probably not likely but worth checking The last one i fitted sounded like it was pumping but i was just not getting diesel properly to the heater so when i had checked all the bits above i got a new pump on Amazon for about £15 and it has worked fine ever since. Hope this helps, let me know what the outcome is Steve.

      Hi Steve. My problem is resolved. I removed the pump, cleaned the connection on both wires and pump. I also changed all the clamps to ones that lock bolt tight. No air or diesel leaks. I’ve started stopped and started at least 6 times and every time starts straight away without priming. I now have 2 pumps, 2 filters and 6 spare clamps just in case one day E-04 comes up again. My only question now is on a new controller how do I set the time and delay for both start and stopping. Regards Neil

    • @webbyn
      @webbyn Год назад +2

      Steve. No such luck. After cleaning contacts, replacing all clamps, cleaning fuel filter then primed. The unit ran perfectly. It stopped then started 6-8 times yesterday without requiring to be primed BUT I turned the power switch I installed off and I had to prime the unit again before ignition. The unit came up with E-4 error which was my original problem after not starting the heater for 6 months. It looks like my only option is to leave power switch on to have instant convenience of starting when cold. Do I have any other options? Thanks Neil

    My all in one primed itself out of the box first startup . That's why it starts pumping when you turn the power on .... dont see how electronacly doing it makes any difference than just pressing on .There is no manuel prime electric is electric ..it does that all ready when you start the starting cycle . If you want to really manuel prime, then put a squesse ball inline ....but why ?

    • @simplyboating4609

      That's pumping diesel not priming. Priming is so glowplug don't get hot for one thing and yes it is better if you can get diesel to the pump before you use it as the diesel is the only lubricant the pump has.
