    To who ever is having smoke no start issues ,The gauze screen atomiser has to be pushed in as far as it will go so it doesn’t constrict the small hole to the side that is what is causing the smoke no start issue, also use a bit of redex diesel treatment per tank fill will help. Also dont over prime these heaters as they flood .Great idea in vid using a concrete screw to remove atomiser screen 👍👍

    Oven cleaner is great for cleaning out the burn chambers, strip it down then spray inside both halves liberally! After 5 mins soaking, give them a scrub with an old paint brush then wash out with a hose (water). Mine was blowing white smoke and wouldn't start, now it runs like new 👍

    You helped me out today !😂 I bought my diesel heater today .Got error code E 03 ..I was like what was the name of that english bloke that cut a box spanner to take out the plug ! I had watched that video ages ago ! Found you anyway Mark! My glow plug was cracked into Sh#te! Thanks from across the pond ☘☘☘subscribed 👍

    Same thing happened to me ! Hears what i did and it worked... I did the same take out the screen then i cleaned the plug, then i cleaned the inside of the whole were the screen goes back. i used a screw and wrapped napkin around the screw then gently turned it around. I had did this many times to clean the HOLE TILL I WAS SATISFIED. Don't forget to clean where the diesel squirts in, i had used the screw to scrape around that spot.
    C;lean as best you can , one last thing be careful when trying to remove the screen.
    I believe this happens more often when running on low , that's ok just remember to fire it up once in a while on high heat for around 30 minutes every other week.

    Its vital the screen is pushed in all the way as it blocks air way also place with the screens machined join to the back opposite tiny air hole in the bore .

    I am having the same issue now from running it on low for too long.
    I have read that using a mix of 25% Kerosene to 75% diesel will help to keep the interior components cleaner for longer.
    After servicing my unit that's what I'll try.

    I rebuilt mine got a new screen . Saw that the the atomiser was I thought cheaply made it was spot welded together . Pulled out the old atomiser ,and broke it the old atomiser was also clean . But I had to use new atomiser . It didn't work ! I also threw in a new glow plug still didn't didn't work . Got it to smoke a lot . Checking into different atomiser . I'm thinking the spot weld restricted the screen too much . Let me know what you found

    Yesterday I changed the glow plug after having E-03... but didn't have anything to remove the atomiser thingy...
    I primed the heater several times and then tried to start it.
    E-03 ! again.
    Do you reckon it's because I didn't change the atomiser?

    Mine throw blue smoke when I first start it up and often fails but usually works the seconds time so I assumed it was just taking its sweet time bringing fuel up from the tank. Yesterday I turned it on and after a few seconds it just switches off and on again with no error code. Any suggestions?

      Try fuel pump

    • @jedics1
      @jedics1 Год назад

      @@MrMeltedwellies I was unable to get the atomizer out because its snuggly up against the walls of the shaft and I do wonder how it can heat up and allow the fuel to pass through it like that but the rest of my unit seems clean inside eg. its dry with no tar, the interior fins are black but the bottom was still showing bare metal so I doubt the atomizer is blocked. So I guess buying a new pump is the most logical choice followed by the glow plug.

    I think maybe the burn chamber is clogged up with carbon, you may have to strip it down further.

  • @coachgeo
    @coachgeo Год назад

    hmmm... so is fuel dripped down the automizer.... or shot across it?? or neither and the atomizer is more of a way to create hot spots to help insure all the diesel fumes get combusted? guess Im not understanding where the fuel is introduced into combustion chamber.

    • @coachgeo
      @coachgeo Год назад +1

      ok..... found the answer.. it gets either dripped or injected-ish? onto the atomizer.

    • @coachgeo
      @coachgeo Год назад

      further discovery.. the fuel is sprayed/injected-ish out of an orifice onto the atomizer screen
