- The talk explores the history of chocolate, beginning with its origins over 5,000 years ago with the Mayans and its divine status among the Aztecs. It traces chocolate's introduction to Europe in the 16th century and its transformation into solid bars with innovations like Dutch cocoa and milk chocolate in the 19th century. The process of making chocolate, from bean to bar, is detailed, along with concerns about labor exploitation and environmental impact. The talk contrasts industrial and artisanal chocolate, highlighting the importance of quality and production methods, and introduces four main types of chocolate: dark, milk, white, and ruby. It concludes by encouraging a mindful chocolate tasting experience to fully appreciate the journey of chocolate.

The problem with chocolate is that, it has the same problem as bananas in the 1920's. I can count the number of chocolate wholesale vendors (brokers) on one hand.
Great presentation, really makes you appreciate all the food you have easy access to not just chocolate

Great presentation. Your English is perfect! Unfortunately I never think about eating it! I like it but never crave it.

I’d like to know the ethics behind this industry.
Imagine the amount of trial and error they went thru before they came up with the final product ... and that can go for just about everything people came up with back then that we use to this day with no room for improvements needed whatsoever ...
I don't like chocolate but if someone eat that at time feel like, I want one but dont want to eat too much 😂
