I'm a 42 year old non-traditional osteopathic medical student, as well as the mother to 5 children ages 4-15. I have not slept well or throughout the night without sleep aides for years, but I cam across Andrew Huberman's RUclips channel and learned about NSDR and how that can help me reset after a 90 minute study session. So yes, I did come across your channel because of NSDR, but I keep coming back to your channel for my nervous system resets 2x a day or more. Doing a yoga nidra is what I keep choosing to do for 15-20 minute break, or like today, a 40 minute break since I just couldn't stay away studying for much longer after a not-so-good night's sleep. Thank you so much for making these available on RUclips for free

38 yr old non-traditional double majoring engineering student, in recovery, and recovering from a debilitatingly severe TBI after getting hit by a car on my bike, with no resittuion.
School is 10-fold harder, even after $10,000 out of pocket for Neurofeedback. I've been a breath away from quitting everything, every semester since
The struggle is real! Luckily. So is Yoga Nidra.
Ally is the one and only, end all, be all.....heal all, to my practice.
(And I was just just trying to take a sleep-deprived nap on the plane 3 yes ago😂) hooked line and sinker 🙏🫶💆‍♀️
      Keep going my friend!!

This was the ultimate Nidra practice for me so far. I shuddered when breathing from the centre of the brain to the crown and felt very emotional. I also sometimes see many faces fading in and out of my mind. I heard once about seeing your ancestors - is this it? Endless thanks, Ally. It’s good to be learning and beginning to understand how your own practice can benefit all the people you love

Ali.. your yoga nidra is the best thing I have discovered. Using it now approx 2 years, especially at stressful times and no matter who else I try...I always PREFER your yoga nidra. Your timing, voic, etc. is PERFEC, and when I need to sleep by night and cant..it sorts me right out.
God bless 🙌 I am so grateful to have discovered your videos. I share them with many.

I tune in from South Dakota. I am an older woman. Yoga Nidra was recommended by my sleep coach to give me “pockets of pause” during the day. I try to make room for a video whenever I need energy and focus but I’m too run down. I usually am not awake the whole time but I come back to myself at the end and it’s so effective, like drinking from a well. Thank you.

Hi Ally, got a calling today to work on this particular recording again for my morning practice (I did this upon waking but forgot to leave a comment here until just now). I was able to get into a vibrational state in the practice. Tried to work with the vibration consciously to see if I could get an OBE but didn’t succeed. I know inducing an OBE is not a primary goal why I’m here taking the course and practicing here but this is the very first time that I’ve reached this vibrational state in a yoga nidra practice so I’m feeling so excited and encouraged!

Hi Ally! I listen to your 10 min - 30 min recording every morning, including a sankalpa. It really fits with my general mindfulness and meditation practice and ry gets me ready! This is the first longer one I do and it was amazing.‘I was so sleepy during the day but didn’t wanted to take a nap. I must say that I went much deeper. I usually stay “awake” because I can glide in the first stages of sleep consciously. But this time I really “sort of fall asleep”. But I noticed that sometimes I was awake, and my concious mind was scanning and listening even though I had fallen asleep. So cool! It really helps. Now I take my ten minutes of waking up. But it was cool to see the benefit of my practice!

I tried this for two nights, but fell asleep each time time before it was finished. I'm going for a third attempt. I love it!

    Namaste! I practiced before 3 P.M. on Sept. 19, 2023.
I was feeling a tad upset subconsciously, so I did have a bunch of distracting visuals even during the body scan. Toward the end of the polar ascending breath, my mind had started to settle, but then it was tome for the Sankalpa. I had my own, and I also borrowed the portion with compassion as I had wanted this practice to help me go deeper. Repeating the Sankalpas did help settle me, though, so I can give myself some grace.

What a beautiful practice, thank you Ally. Feeling under the weather today so trying to give my immune system a bit of nourishment, and this helped. I loved the senkalpa 'may I accept myself just as I am, with the compassion that I deserve.' And the reading was so special. Could you share the text here?
