    I was especially pleased to be invited to do some filming and cooking in the kitchens of Rasoi Cottage because they are listed as the no.1 top eatery in Redditch on Trip Advisor. The chef and owner Nasim Rubin Ahmed started cooking BIR style food from a very early age, and has a huge wealth of experience.
    The Saag Paneer side dish is a popular menu item at Rasoi Cottage, featuring firm Indian cottage cheese and spinach. I asked Nasim (Rubin) to demonstrate how he cooks his delicious recipe.
    It's usual in UK restaurants that this dish is call 'saag' paneer. A more accurate name would be 'palak' paneer (palak meaning spinach), wherease 'saag' is a general term for leafy veg/herbs such as mustard greens, coriander, spinach. etc.

    I first got into making curries after visiting the Mowgli restaurants which you may now recognise as a chain. That inspired me to try and make British restaurant/takeaway curries and I stumbled upon Misty Ricardo. I second a previous comment that said they feel their curries are now tastier than a takeaway. Couldn't agree more, I've bought two of Richard's books now. Jalfrezi, Butter Chicken, Dahl and this Saag Paneer are my favourites. I tell everyone about Misty Ricardo books. They're a must have cook book.

    Not my favourite of dishes but my partner loves this, not made it before however gonna give it ago, also gonna be making my base gravy tonight gonna do a small batch watered down.

    Misty, thanks for all your videos. I live in New Zealand, and have been making restaurant style curries for the last year since finding your channel. I have finally got to the point where I consider my curries tastier than any of the local takeaways in my town, and it's all thanks to you.

    Thanks Richard, your a legend. Every BIR i go to i always get this dish. You would be surprised how many use cubes of English cheddar lol
