- In this video I show you guys how to make your own seed starting mix using regular potting soil that you probably already have around the house.
We talk about how to sift your soil in order to obtain the right consistency and particle size. I also show a home made sift that you can easily replicate at home with common components and tools (tote + drill)
We also talk about and demonstrate how to incorporate fertilizer in the mix so that it is in the best available form for our young seedings.

Great video, thanks for the tips! I've got some seeds to start in a few weeks. By the way, where do you live? You sound like you might have a slight francophone accent and I'm wondering if you live near me. There are lots of gardening channels but it's fun to get tips from someone who live in the same growing zone, I think I remember you mentioning a Quebec based plant supplier in another vid a while ago.
