I like to think that Norm is such a genius that on the 250k question, he wasn't debating between Madrid and Lisbon, he was debating between Madrid and one of the other 2, but manipulated the showrunners into narrowing it down to Madrid and one that he knew was incorrect.
i think he just had that joke ready for whenever he did the 50/50 and did all the assists at the same time for comedic effect
@@obscure.referenceso we’re on the same page that this was all scripted right?
@@evanh.6462 lot of unnecessary effort to script a gameshow lol. i just said i think norm planned some bits. like hating regis
@@obscure.reference I beg to differ. Wouldn’t the episode kind of suck if your famous guest who’s winnings are intended for a charity loses after 5 questions?
And I’m not saying all the lines were scripted. They were riffing back and forth naturally. But writing in set ups for jokes is to be expected if a comedian were coming on. I’m sure Norm had Regis pitch some set ups to him
@@evanh.6462 as i say, it’s a game show. it really doesn’t need scripting to be what it is. its not complicated. and especially with norm, he’s good on his feet, doesnt really need it. this specific episode is pretty awkward, the “riffing” between regis and norm could just as well be called “ribbing” since norm is fucking with regis for so much of it. to me that doesnt imply scripting.
Norm was a genius. And he didn't care if anyone else knew it. Pure class.
Regis played off Norm like a champ. Great chemistry. Norm does well with old guys.
💀 old jack
So does Adam eget, especially if they got a spare 15$ 😏
This man was a comedy legend, he carried every The Middle episode he was part of.
Kinda sad to see such a great guy go so soon. Smart and funny.
Yes, he was so young when he played Brick Heck.
Knowing Norm he probably asked/brought Kaeto as a bizarre joke. Infact I'd bet their whole "friendship" was just for giggles. For those who dont know Kaeto is a celebrity hangaround who got 15 minutes of fame thanks to the OJ trial; Norm was one of the most relentless OJ-did-it-jokers, to the point he even got fired once for refusing to tone it down :)
It was no joke.
Norm is a baaaad man. That smooth, cool look on his face after getting each question correct. Legend.
