omg, ive never played Resident Evil cause i took 1 look at it and thought it boring but my golly, this video gave me the whole shebang on the game haha..cheers GREENLINKS ❤️❤️
Great vid man exactly what I was looking for. Played 2 remake and loved it, moving on to 3 and did not want to backtrack to 1, really well put together appreciate it my man, and explains a lot from 2 as well!
Hey! Thanks for this run down. Just tried a playthrough of myself, but after an hour was struggling to get through it but still wanted to know the story. Great stuff!
Great video my friend you videos deserve way more views and subs hope you blow up soon mate keep up the good work I’ll continue to watch as many of your videos as possible
As many people already said, I find myself in the same situation. First off, I played both RE2R and RE3R and had a blast. I loved every second of them, and finished RE3R in under a day for how much I liked it. Before I bought and downloaded RE4R, I actually looked up the chronological order the games happen in and decided to get myself both RE1HD and RE0. I did check the other titles as well, like RE5 and the Revelations, but of the 2 games in that series, I bought only Revelations 2, as the first one appeared incredibly wonky. I thought the same of the RE5, too, and when I read that the game at the time has shifted from a survival horror to a shoot-em-up, I was appalled. No only the game looked ancient for only having been released in 2012-13ish, so I held off it for now. Welp, I did try RE1HD. Suffice to say, yes, I can see the graphics having been completely made over, but it's clear beyond a doubt that this game needs the 2,3,4 treatment. I know it keeps the spirit of the original intact, but that spirit just isn't up to the times. Maybe coming from the 2 recently released remakes has made me view this title differently, but I don't like it and I find it very difficult because: - it's not as intuitive as the later installments. - the camera is just horrendous and aiming is even more of a chore (even on controller) - map navigation is atrocious. I got lost for so long before I ended up looking up a guide. - ink ribbons for anything other than hard and harder difficulties. Having your saves limited is really not pleasant. Sure, they don't take an inventory slot, but you'd have to die several times and be familiar with the game, your objectives and your status in game so you would feel safe to use a ribbon, especially since you have like what, 6 for the entire first part of the mansion? - I also realized in the guide that the zombies you kill come back to life as even stronger enemies if you don't properly take care of them. I don't like that and I'm happy we've seen none of that in the remakes. I have no clue if that also happened in the previous installments of RE 2 and 3, before, but I find that appalling. I was definitely not the type of guy to gun down every zombie and held off of using ammunition for far too many times than I had to, especially in RE3R when I could perfectly dodge the zombies. But when I decide that I want to kill a zombie because it's close to a safe room/route I will frequent, then I would very much like that zombie to STAY DEAD, especially since it takes about a half a magazine to fully kill a zombie in either remake. - the UI is horrible and extremely outdated, compared to the sleek one we got in the remakes. I like the remakes a lot. They hold onto the original charm that these games had and actually reinvent themselves. They feel as some new games, in a new series, having been only recently created. They feel great, look great, play great, sound great, they're fun. I can understand I come from a point of no return, having already played the epitome of this series, which is why I tried to honor the original game that started it all. It's as if I would have first played only GTA V and came back to play GTA 3 (or heck, even the 2d one) just to see how far the series has started. It's an incredibly wonky experience, which is why this game deserves a proper, actual remake, that redesigns some integral aspects about the game. Maybe add more voicelines to suggest to the player what they should do or where they are headed, if they are too lost. Maybe improve the UI and Menu screen, because they're not pretty. Maybe revise the entire crimson mechanic. There's great potential in remaking this completely, and bringing it up to today's standards. But I can kinda see why they moved away from it and remade only 2,3 and 4. Those were the actual highpoints of the series.
thanks for making this video. i finally got around to watching a gameplay since i'm not really a gamer, but everything about the game just put me off on it. i couldn't even get through a fourth of it.. hopefully, they'll make a new version, cause i actually want to eventually go back to this game and see if i can scrounge *some* enjoyment out of it.
FUCKING THANK YOU. 20 MINUTES OF SEARCHING AND YOURE THE ////ONLY//// GUY THAT JUST DID RE1 AND NOTHING ELSE. I LEGITIMATELY CANNOT FUCKING THANK YOU ENOUGH. I'm having a horrible time with the series. I've always been interested in it and a few days ago I took the leap. I gave it an honest 4 day shake but it's just so archaic that I had to stop after realizing everything I did in 4 days could be done in about 13 minutes by some old dude who already knew the game. So thanks dude, really. I'm skipping to RE2 tomorrow and you're the reason I'm not gonna give up and just wait for an actual proper remake of RE1. That gamecube port simply is not enough. It isn't game style either, I can play DMC 1 all day (easiest movement and environmental comparison) but for whatever reason this game from a year later just enrages me beyond belief. Definitely the angriest I've been about a game in a while.

11:55 HELP IT SAYING "we should split up.." KILLED ME SHSHSHHS
Tried to play the game but the controls weren't for me. Thank you for the recap before going into RE2.
I thought it wouldn't be for me either, but now I'm playing nonstop, amazing game
Dude your videos are great! This really helped me as I just got RE2 and 3.
9:41 Note to self, when doing shady mess don't take any pictures.
You deserve a lot of credit. Your videos are amazing.. imma watch them all!
This is the best video covering resident evil. Thank you for your work putting this together.
Thank you. I really enjoy the lore of this series but the camera system in the early games got me so sick
fr, I wanted to play through it, even bought it (for like $4 with steam key) and the camera gave me atomic mutant crabs that are untreatable.
The camera in this game is perfect
9:10 Common sense is in short supply, but I guess the forgiveness is never ending.
This was a great introduction for someone completely new to the series. I didn't even feel the time pass 🤠
Great video my friend you videos deserve way more views and subs hope you blow up soon mate keep up the good work I’ll continue to watch as many of your videos as possible
Thank you for the very kind words! Glad you enjoy the vids :)

You should have at least 1 million followers 🎉
The best ending is saving Barry and Chris XD

Ok. So, I'm new to this. So, sorry if it sounds dumb. But does it mean Chris's story is non cannon and I wasted 3+ hours because of it?
bruh you made me learn all the characters' names wrong 💀
Why're you telling lies? Remakes are not canon.
is it not literally the same story what
