Well I think that no one in real life would say zombie at the first look since you wouldn't believe it is a real zombie, you would try to first find a logical explanation, only after you see that nothing of this can have you would assume that is a zombie, also they work for police they can't go and shoot, they have to ask to calm down, warning shoot, disarm and only then if all this didn't work shot to kill, so his reaction is not uncommon for his situation

@@isaiahdemeule8090 yeah i see what you mean. everything is a first person shooter now. i remember once you mastered those controls it wasn't an issue at all.
Oh wow, I remember that little opening intro bit where Jill "chickens out" if you attempt to leave the dining room twice...and then you get that extra little cutscene with Wesker. I've never tried doing that in the remake, and I was surprised they kept that little detail in frankly. Didn't this do something to alter the game's difficulty or was that just a rumor? The rumor was at the time the original game was out, that this made the game easier somehow. Like it got rid of some zombie spawns or spawned increased ammo. Could all be BS of course. I never paid a ton of attention to it because I played the beginning out as you normally would. By discovering kenneth and encountering the zombie that way. I bought a gamecube just to play this game when it came out. I remember being amazed at the graphics. To my mind, they were better than anything else on the market at the time, whether it was other games on gamecube, or PS2. Even by today's standards, the HD Remaster really makes this game hold up well. HD Resolutions, 60fps, great lighting effects, etc. Capcom did such a fantastic job with this remake, and it's gonna remain my favorite RE game for all time, unless of course the RE2 remake dethrones it.
In the original director's cut if you trigger the alternative Cutscene where the zombie discovers you it despawns two clips that would otherwise have been found on the dead Bravo team member.
I'm embarrassed to admit that I have not once finished this game since buying it on the Nintendo Gamecube in 2002. Every attempt I've ever made has resulted in me wandering cluelessly through the mansion, trying to solve puzzles for which I lack the necessary items to solve, missing the clues I should be getting first, using up all my ammo, herbs, and ink ribbons, and then starting over and trying again. 18 years later, I am playing this game again on the Nintendo Switch and I am determined to beat it, even if I need to rely on a walkthrough every step up of the way to tell me what the hell I'm supposed to be doing.
Lol I just realized none of the zombies are wearing shoes or socks but are fully clothed otherwise .. I guess there was a no shoes rule in the Spencer mansion... also that house definitely stinks of shit and decay but Jill still has the manners to run to the toilet to puke 😍 what a woman
I think it's because the zombies grew in size while transforming , that's why they wear no shoes because they got destroyed in the process. Look at 11:41 how tall that Zombie is. Even when you encounter it with Chris, it's still pretty tall.
This walkthrough is amazing. I played a bit and watched a bit to make sure I did it right, so I get to explore the fun on my own but feel rather safe to do so. Thanks a lot bro.
I love this game. I still play it now. It's beautiful, just so immersive, controller griping scary and calming at the same time. I had this on the game cube first. I love every resident evil game except 6, but we wont talk about that 😂 i can't wait for the remake of 2 now. I feel like a kid waiting for christmas.
I agree. I just bought this remaster on the ps4 to get myself hyped for re2 remake! I preordered that deluxe edition, which I think is totally worth it.
this man beat the whole game in 2:44 and here I am just got the control room key ring about 5-6 hours in..welp this guy got there in an hour 10 minutes...good to know I have over half the game still left when I thought I was nearing the end for a bit
Holy crap, i just found this video and trying to learn the game from it. It's difficult to get to this point in which you know where to go every single time. It will take me a long time to get used to it. This guy is good.Cheers!
Just finished the game using this walk through, finished it in 5 hours 3 minutes. Missed the 5 hour reward by 3 minutes, was on normal think ill do it on very easy without saving or dying. Good walktgrough!
One of the most visually stunning games ever made, and a great experienced run of the whole thing. Thank you. Somehow, though, even if the game designers themselves push you to do speedruns, to me it feels more normal to take things a little slower - zipping through surroundings reduces the creepiness factor a lot.
It's definetly the most atmospheric especially with the sound track and how when outside you can hear the dogs and insects and stuff, I've always appreciated that about this game
This is why RE1 is so cool. This whole time I never knew that if you didn't go through the door, the zombie would come into the dining room. This game plays different scenarios based on the player's actions in real time. Very nice
It's crazy how that same zombie goes back through that door after opening and shutting if and I believe 3 or 4 of Barry's 44 mag rounds which one shots the hardest boss and the coolest in my opinion the tyrant lol. That first zombie is the true super zombie. But I can't wait to see what the handgun and rocket launcer can do when I unlock it. I could have sworn I already did it but apparently not. Then I'll play director's cut so I can play with the magnum from the beginning and see what that's like on the hardest difficulty...

This game is blowing me away with the graphics I seriously cannot believe how good this game looks and considering it was made in 2002. RE system has always been godlike. Can’t wait to see RE8.
I'd like to play RE1 again after more than 20 years (I loved RE2 Remake) but the thought of staring at the doors every single time you change room makes me groan.
Yh its insane. Y couldn't they skip/avoid this on the ps4 remaster idk.. I just got re0 on ps4 and it's well made but the loading doors test ur patience. Also wish they had enemies in view always on the cam angles. Oh and the transferring of inventory items in re0 between characters makes the doors even more tedious with the back and forth to go transfer them. But the beasts are well done and it works well. I'm not sure if I'll get res1 too or wait hoping they will remake it like res2 and 3. The new demo of res2 is nicely done. It be nice a cinematic top down style version like the originals too but without the cam and loading problems, if they were made in 3d it could be dynamic cam angles that include the ennemies and player character.
@NYC BRONXBOMBER718 They just remastered it for current gen. It was remade for gamecube. & it had those cutscenes in the original too. You just have to play it exactly that way to get them. Most people just go straight into the room where Kenneth is getting eaten by the first zombie.
Barry doesn’t sound suspicious at all: “Jill, you go check it out. I’ll stay here and secure our escape route in case something happens!” (wink wink) Barry leaves with the elevator...
I love this game. Really scary and that atmosphere and characters. The look of the mansion. The tension of it all. The safe rooms with the music. The terrifying monsters, that snake was scary. Lisa trevor and the tyrant
This game seriously scared the shit out of me when I was little. Wish games nowadays still had the effect on me that a lot of games of this era had on me.
I believe there was a lot more leeway when developing games like this back then. Nowadays, most developers worry about the buck instead of a polished masterpiece
You made me laugh like a crazy XD Of course not, I was just trying to find the right combination with the numbers 3,5,6 in any order in accordance with the color.
Nah. This (2002) came out only 6 years after the original (1996). RE2 remake (2019) came out 21 years after the original RE2 (1998), long after they had abandoned this garbage style (RE4 in 2005). Now look at the sales of each one and you'll understand why they did what they did. They had originally planned to do what you wanted, but disappointing sales of this remake (took 2 years to sell half a million) led them to cancel RE2 and 3 remakes in the 2000s. Meanwhile the 2019 RE2 remake sold like 6 million copies in its first year.

nice but the tank controls are what turns me off speaking as a modern gamer
@@isaiahdemeule8090 yeah i see what you mean. everything is a first person shooter now. i remember once you mastered those controls it wasn't an issue at all.
@@isaiahdemeule8090 The controls are perfectly fine. Only idiots and retards can’t get the hang of them.
@@isaiahdemeule8090 in the hd version they have different control schemes.
It won’t change any spawns or decrease the difficulty in any way. Just how you encounter the first zombie.
In the original director's cut if you trigger the alternative Cutscene where the zombie discovers you it despawns two clips that would otherwise have been found on the dead Bravo team member.
I got an xbox one jus to play
this scared the shit out of me as a kid
Then U are not beating it then
Lol I just realized none of the zombies are wearing shoes or socks but are fully clothed otherwise .. I guess there was a no shoes rule in the Spencer mansion... also that house definitely stinks of shit and decay but Jill still has the manners to run to the toilet to puke 😍 what a woman
Haha well spotted
Must be that Japanese culture lol
I think it's because the zombies grew in size while transforming , that's why they wear no shoes because they got destroyed in the process. Look at 11:41 how tall that Zombie is. Even when you encounter it with Chris, it's still pretty tall.
Jill is such a LADY ♥
Most of them are wearing shoes.
Umbrella should focus on making Rocket Launcher rather than on the bio-weapons.
LMAO

What made this game was not gameplay.. was music, environment, and story.
Level Design honestly
It was everything.
The gameplay is terrible
@@Mmcermes i disagree. It's clunkiness adds to the tension, other wise the game would be too easy
@@ColombianThunder RE2 remake has led the way for all future remakes 😁 but this was still really good for its time
This walkthrough is amazing.
@@peautifulbenis3673 a year after it came out, whatd yall think? i thought it was pretty good tbh
I still have this game on GameCube :) these graphics aren't bad at all
This is the HD remaster, 13 years after the GameCube version
this man beat the whole game in 2:44 and here I am just got the control room key ring about 5-6 hours in..welp this guy got there in an hour 10 minutes...good to know I have over half the game still left when I thought I was nearing the end for a bit
took me like 15 hours the first time.. Later attempts are wayy quicker
I still can't forget the legendary lines "stop it don't open that door!" "You were almost a Jill sandwich"!"
Just in case anybody doesn't know. if you use a dagger on a zombie, then decapitate him, you will get your dagger back.
I actually didn't know that, thanks man
Thanks
Thank you for your service
How do you decapitate a zombie please explain, thanks for the tip.
@@pilantra2000 Shoot it in the head with a shot gun, high chance of it, or if you get lucky you can do it with the pistol, but its a lot harder. Shot gun is your best bet.
Only got like 20min left of your video, thanks for taking the time homie
Barry: I can explain!
Jill: Don’t lie to me!
And then they never talked about it again
No ads , bro you're a legend
Resident Evil is really awesome for a 2002 game. I ever played this game and the Tyrant part was my favorite!!!

Honestly the one that recently released was freaking amazing. Ada is so pretty ❤️❤️
You play extraordinarily well with alternate controls, my dude! I've always stuck to the default tank controls, but it seems like it's much easier to dodge enemies with alternate controls. Very cool
I love that in RE0 Richard takes a bite from the Snake to save Rebecca
And in this he does it to save Jill
Poor Richard has a fetish of taking a hit for hos
hi
Jill and Rebecca aren’t hoes if you think that then there’s something wrong with you
Jill is so incredible beautiful
JILL
C. Andrew Williams Alonside with Leon and Claire ;)
Leon Kennedy exists so I’m gonna have to disagree
Thank you
That’s cap Leon actually is nigga
Exactly , and probably Barry and Wesker as well. I wish we could have played as them in this game though.
LOVE how you just casually stroll right by/behind zombies, giant tarantulas, zombie dogs, venomous snakes and hunters.
0:56 Jill opens the door for Barry. 1:05 Barry kicks open the door that Jill just opened. Hmm...
You're an excellent gamer. I always loved games but I kinda suck at finishing games. I'm living through you right now
This game is blowing me away with the graphics I seriously cannot believe how good this game looks and considering it was made in 2002. RE system has always been godlike. Can’t wait to see RE8.
I'm pretty sure ur disappointed with re8 by now
I thought this game came out the 1996
@@ahickin It was for gamecube
The puzzle for the chemical room was a nice touch, liking this version.

Without doubt, still the greatest RE ever made. Mikami and his team created a complete work of art. Masterpiece
“You better take a look at this”
“What is it!”
(Licks it) “JAM!”
There are door skip mods on the pc version.
@@AFXSnares Thank you man, good to know. I'll look into that !!!
I have played through this game multiple times and I had never seen those cut-scenes at the beginning.
@NYC BRONXBOMBER718 They just remastered it for current gen. It was remade for gamecube. & it had those cutscenes in the original too. You just have to play it exactly that way to get them. Most people just go straight into the room where Kenneth is getting eaten by the first zombie.
This is still the best Resident Evil.

When the zombie in the beginning takes more bullets from barrys magnum than the tyrant 😂
Barry doesn’t sound suspicious at all: “Jill, you go check it out. I’ll stay here and secure our escape route in case something happens!” (wink wink) Barry leaves with the elevator...
The crimson heads freak me out, they are often to fast for me to react.. I love this game, reminds me of resident evil outbreak & outbreak file 2.
this game brings a case of nostalgia for me! even though i never got past the dining room cause i was too scared but still lots of memories 😂
You know, to think that one day we would have a remaster of a remake...
It's an unusual remake in that it was only 6 years after the original.
Love how Jill looks like she's in good shape, but is the only one out of breathe when they enter the mansion.
You can also breath hard when you are in shock or scared.
Owned it for Gamecube once, now I'm running this on Nintendont on Wii U. This year's goal: finish it on normal for the 1st time.
I love this game. Really scary and that atmosphere and characters. The look of the mansion. The tension of it all. The safe rooms with the music. The terrifying monsters, that snake was scary. Lisa trevor and the tyrant
My hat goes to you sir, awesome game and amazing gameplay. Congratulations.
This game seriously scared the shit out of me when I was little. Wish games nowadays still had the effect on me that a lot of games of this era had on me.
I believe there was a lot more leeway when developing games like this back then.
Nowadays, most developers worry about the buck instead of a polished masterpiece
Well, you're not a little kid anymore. Also, have you tried RE7?
this scared the shit out of me as a kid on the Gamecube never finished it I just returned it
1:15:15 wtf is that code?
You made me laugh like a crazy XD Of course not, I was just trying to find the right combination with the numbers 3,5,6 in any order in accordance with the color.
The Konami extra long code.
Its just your standard 100 digit code you gotta memorize.
Its-_-Fox Grrr reminded me of The Office episode where they all have their own unique 21 digit printer codes to use the printer/copier🤣🤣

Can't believe this is nearly 20 years old! It's seriously good for it's time..
In fact this can't be the 2002 version?
This came out like 5 years ago?
Original comes out 1995 japan usa/eu 1996 soo game have 25 years 👀
@@samking2094it's an HD remaster. Says it right in the video title.
Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes should have looked like this. This is the best Resident Evil remake in my opinion.
My favorite game ever !! The Ultimate Masterpiece of the saga !!
LOL!!! Says best ending...skips every detail of the story including the THE ENDING!!!!!!!
always berry ends up back in the dinning room to "investigate" the blood. Do he have a field kit to analyse it? Determine blood type or DNA if its Chris?
Probably not, it was probably in the chopper if they had one. And well, that's long gone.
nope just sniffs it bwahhahaha
He probably was investigating how the spatter happened or how long it stayed there, etc.
Half way thru the game I decided to watch this video while playing the game to make it quicker haha cheat code
I remember that I cleared the game as Jill and as Chris around 13 years ago or more, Im not sure. Dude I had so much fun playing this, this is such an awesome game! I guess thats my personnal favorite on the franchise. And I must say that Im an oldschool fan who played Res 1, 2 and 3 on Playstation 1, back in the day. Resident evil 0 and Resident evil 4 are nice tho, but this one here is the best!
Renan Hohendorff Biagiotto: This one is definitely the best.
My first resident evil was 5 I loved it back then, but after playing 4, 6, revelations 1 and 2 and now playing this one I can definetely say this one is my favourite so far what a pleasant surprise. I was expecting not to like this game because of the camera angle. Haven't played 7 yet but will get it some day. also 0 and every remaster/remake they make, 2's remake looking pretty damn good.
Thank you for the walkthrough it really helped me out!
Even though i never finished this game its still my favorite resident evil
Barry: What is this!?
Jill: What is that?
Barry: Blood!!..

2:13 - Jill, see if you can find any more clues, I'll be examining this.
What else is there to examine exactly, Barry? 😂😂😂
Does it go well on burgers?
I wonder if the user of this channel who last video was 4 years ago know this walkthroug is one of the most popular in RUclips about RE1 Remaster HD Jill.
He did it awesome, now I am looking one of the Chris Redfield Side, like this, no commentary, fast but no speedrun.
"Will you take the shotgun?" Na think I'll leave it.
