I was looking for a speedrun for this trophy and all I can say is I'm so glad I came across you. Just beat it with a record of 2hrs and 12 min and sure it wasn't as good as yours, but now I can finally take it easy on this game! Truly you're a lifesaver!
2 hrs 12 min. Thanks man. For anyone doing this now on PS5, I recommend switching from the game to the RUclips app on your playstation. Opening YT suspends the timer in the game, but putting the PS5 in rest mode doesn't!
Finished my run in 2:28:14 thanks to your guide. I saved 8 times because I kept dying lol. I also wanted to do no save with this run, but it was way too risky for me. No save run is next now that I have the rocket launcher and I will be using this guide again. THANK YOU! 😁👍

You probably know this...but if you don't, this version is actually the closest to the creators original dream of the 1st RE game. He was able to add the cemetery sections and many other things that he couldn't on the ps1 version.
Yes, I did actually know that bit of trivia. While I really enjoy REmake and believe it's one of the best video game remakes ever, I still prefer the original. Maybe it's nostalgia speaking, but the original RE1 just hits different for me.

YAYYY I GOT 4 TROPHIES FOLLOWING THIS GUIDE! My time was 02:17:15 I did pause a lot butttt with a strategy.. that opening youtube thing REALLY DID STOP THE TIME LOL or else I've been playing for like 10 hours. Doig house chores in between everytime i wanted to pause i went through the door and open youtube thats it, the timer does really stop following this trick!!! I died in beginning like 5 to 6 times by zombies and dogs lol because you can't get through the game without learning to shake off enemy from you, so my first couple tries i was learning how to get hang of it using alternate controls it was very simple just go crazy with both analog sticks and jill wont let the enemy latch onto her and drain her health! I didnt even used the stairs trick you doing because i cant figure it out how to do with alternate controls However im so so grateful and thankful to you for this amazingggggggggg guide!! I got infinite rocket launcher too! Im full on ready now to destroy the game!!!🎉

I noted down everything you did in this playthrough. I ignored the shotgun and shotgun shells, and the handgun ammo, and although I didn’t beat the game in under 3 hours, I beat it in under 5 hours and unlocked some achievements as well as a new Samurai Edge gun. So, thank you.for posting this.
I really want someone to make a version of this with multiple save stops because I have a newborn and can really only play for 30 minutes to an hour at a time. Being able to take a break and take care of my kid would be nice. The reason I’d like this version is because I know for a fact that nothing stops your in game timer except for actually exiting to the main menu, so multiple saves would be awesome
God dang glass puzzle was a pain lol but this help majorly no door skip mod or any other glitches except for the stairs slide very critical for speed running

I did it on normal just now! very nice guide, mortal things, not that gran turismo style speedrunning! these guys, by the time i hit the pause button for the first time just to see where im going next, they have completed the entire franchise :P. for anyone who might be intereste my time was 2 hours and 38 minutes. during the first half of the video i paused a lot because its my weak point. i know the game better after the second half. (because i spent sometime for all the possible credit ending videos)
My dude. I STUDIED this video. Took notes, approximately 40 steps and i finished in 2h34mins on my first try on mormal(i have finiahed the ge twice before so i have an idea of it all). You have saved my sanity.
Fantastic guide, man. I really appreciate the verbal tips towards the beginning, and you allow the player over an hour to save their game plenty of times. Here's what I don't get though...I ended up saving 19 times whenever Jill was near a save room/typewriter (being only my 2nd playthrough and unsure of my abilities to dodge)....My clear time was 2:52...Saving a game doesn't take an entire 3 minutes, and aside from doing the stairs trick, I went literally just as fast as you did. I never paused, or went to the ps4 dashboard. I'd quit to main menu the moment I saved, and would just load and go from there. Just weird that it took me so long. Thanks for posting this though. It got me a few trophies.

Glad the video helped and you were able to get a good time. Yeah, the dogs are a pain in the beginning. Dogs, hunters, and Lisa are the worst enemies when it comes to doing the speedrun.
You can combine this with the all items and rooms trophy if you make a duplicate save just before you go up in the elevator to find Wesker! Then when you have got the under 3 hours trophy reload save and go back to mansion to get all items

I just got 2:10:13, thx so much for the guide. Those hunters really screwed with me at 56:59, i tried doing what you did but the damn thing followed me up the stairs from behind and I ended up sandwiched between the two. Luckly the spray I had gave me enough health to squeeze past them. If I had known in advance that you weren't gonna use the remaining shells in the launcher, I would've blasted their assess.

Unfortunately, I do not have a video for that trophy. I can however, give you some tips for it. Play as Chris, as he has more health than Jill. Since you have the speedrun now complete, take your time and avoid enemies the best you can. Most of all enemies in the old RE games can be avoided (bosses being an obvious exception). Play on Easy difficulty (no need to make it harder than it is). Lastly, save often, because you'll eventually end up dying at least once.
Different kinds. Big Resident Evil and Metal Gear fan. I also play more casual stuff like Call of Duty and Fortnite. Looking forward to RE2 remake in January!

I was doing the 3 hour challenge on very easy mode, and I was doing the no save also and I got hit by Lisa on the final encounter and she threw me into the abyss 😭

F So when I first tried this speedrun, I died in the same place. That's the reason I stopped and saved my game right before hand in this video, because I wasn't going to die so far into the game again lol. If you had a good run going and saved your game, maybe not all is lost and you won't have to restart like I did.
Quick tip. If your eating in real life while doing this. Pausing the games doesnt stop the timer. So waste a ink ribbon saving and go ti the title screen so the timer doesnt continue. If your busy
Also i like to grab the ink ribbons in the main hall instead of the emblem. Cause the piano room is next ti the hall where the emblem is so. Keep that in mind

I know I'm WAYYY late to the party lol. I have the Origins 2pack. The camera has me kinda fucked up I'm used to the "New" Resident Evil games. Simple question can you beat it on normal with Jill and still unlock infinite ammo for certain weapons? Or does it have to be a Chris completion
You can save as much as you want for the infinite ammo rocket launcher as long as you complete the game in under 3 hours. Getting it will make the no save run a piece of cake.
I’m going to start this game soon using your guide. Looking forward to it. After I make a save I plan to quit to main menu and watch what you do next while making notes. My question is how do you make notes to make sure I don’t get lost? Do I need to have a map to easily follow?
If you need a map, it wouldn't hurt to draw yourself one (or print one). By the time I got around to doing this speedrun, I was intimately familiar with the layout of the game's map, so in my own notes, I just described what room/area I needed to go to next. Maybe do a practice playthrough to familiarize yourself before attempting the speedrun if you get lost.
I am really confused on which difficulties these achievements can be unlocked with. Also can you use infinite weapons without invalidating the achievement?
I hate how you cant see what time you are at. Im copying the WR run but chucking some saves in there so i can keep retrying in 10 min intervals if i feel i stuffed up. But im stressing when i get to the end it will be over 3 hours
I absolutely cannot get past the dogs ar 9:04 I can do every other part before it without getting hit but the dogs grab me and take me from full health to death.... any tips
Save up some daggers and use them for when you encounter them. The dogs at that point are a huge pain, and sometimes you just have to be lucky. Hope you make it past them.

I’ve played this game 3 times already, never knew there’s a run button. It doesn’t make me move faster and I can’t use it to glide the stairs
Hold down Square while walking if you're on PS4 (or X if you're on Xbox) to run, and tap it rapidly to do glide up and down stairs.

No, not in this game. You can in RE7 however.

I know I'm WAYYY late to the party lol. I have the Origins 2pack. The camera has me kinda fucked up I'm used to the "New" Resident Evil games. Simple question can you beat it on normal with Jill and still unlock infinite ammo for certain weapons? Or does it have to be a Chris completion
Either one, it's your choice. Personally I think Jill's scenario is easier.

Ok I'll do that once I have my infinite ammo haha as long as many saves doesnt affect me unlocking IA I'll be good haha
You can save as much as you want for the infinite ammo rocket launcher as long as you complete the game in under 3 hours. Getting it will make the no save run a piece of cake.

I’m going to start this game soon using your guide. Looking forward to it. After I make a save I plan to quit to main menu and watch what you do next while making notes. My question is how do you make notes to make sure I don’t get lost? Do I need to have a map to easily follow?
If you need a map, it wouldn't hurt to draw yourself one (or print one). By the time I got around to doing this speedrun, I was intimately familiar with the layout of the game's map, so in my own notes, I just described what room/area I needed to go to next. Maybe do a practice playthrough to familiarize yourself before attempting the speedrun if you get lost.

I hate how you cant see what time you are at. Im copying the WR run but chucking some saves in there so i can keep retrying in 10 min intervals if i feel i stuffed up. But im stressing when i get to the end it will be over 3 hours

I absolutely cannot get past the dogs ar 9:04 I can do every other part before it without getting hit but the dogs grab me and take me from full health to death.... any tips
Save up some daggers and use them for when you encounter them. The dogs at that point are a huge pain, and sometimes you just have to be lucky. Hope you make it past them.
