My kid and I saved a dog that got hit by a car right in front of us on Thursday. Needless to say it’s been very expensive but totally worth it to me. We decided to name him Yoshi Ruukii “Good Luck” (pronounced Yoshiru uki i). You’re the only YTber that I watch that likes to speak Japanese so I thought you’d like that. He was unlucky to get hit by the car but really lucky my kid and I were there to save him! To be honest, I always saw “speedruns” as a contest between yourself, not with others. Just performing at your optimal best through a game you enjoy is why I enjoy watching them, especially when a game does have some elements that can go against you and give a challenge even if you are proficient at the game. With that said, I just enjoy what content you make, and I am glad you are getting sponsored for your videos.

I very nearly beat the game before 2hrs (I beat it at like 2hrs 4min?) with Chris which I thought was a great triumph for me. I do remember going to the dog terrace and I left without the collar and came back and the dog was gone and I was stuck and had to restart a save.

I love Resident Evil since 1996 but oh boy that loading time on every door. Especially during a speedrun in which half the time is just a door animation lol. It's nice that a lot has improved over the past 25 years. (19 since the gamecube version)

I think I might have a problem. I’ve beat this game about 4 or 5 times but have never played as Chris. I just love my inventory space with Jill and I’m horrified to even try a Chris run. Though the lack of inventory space is probably part of what makes playing as Chris fun.

Great work such a great game. Technically I would call it buggy movement but it's really hard to code out movement glitches like stair skating in games with controls like RE, I have my own tank controls and alternate controls there's a ton more animation bugs than is present in the Capcom games although I don't think you can stair skate with the code I've got setup, most of the exploits are purely visual as well with mine.
Started replaying this game again, realised.. the controls are SO janky!!!, unless theres some mod to make the joysticks work better? Or do you use tank control

Hey Carci, I am trying to play RE1 Remaster on Steam using a PS4 controller but I can't get Steam to recognize the controller it just wants it to be a Xbox controller layout, any suggestions?
@@CarcinogenSDA Well the issue is that it wants to use the Xbox button mapping which is confusing, I do have DS4 but idk how to make it work with Steam, do you have a video or setup instructions for that? I'd really appreciate it. Also thank you for your quick response!

different dodges probably. i use a lot of antequated dodges so, maybe? framerate changes a lot of setups in this game

So when you dodge Neptune and not kill it, is it possible that you could revisit Neptune as Rebecca when you try to mix the the plant 42 poison?
never tried but sounds plausible. dunno if that door will open. probably won't, to prevent Rebecca from picking up Richard's Shotgun.

turn off vsync, set framerate to variable.
if you have a 144hz monitor, you can turn vsync on or use gsync.

the osd layout will always be xbox. nothing you can do about it unless there’s a mod or a patch.
