What I REALLY love about your videos is that its the perfect mix between a speed run and walkthrough. Like, I want to watch the plot, cut scenes and dialogue, but I want the gameplay to be quick, optimised and informative. I get to watch the game like a movie. Quiet during dialogue and story, and speedrun commentary during gameplay. None of that watching you fumble around as you try to learn the game. Nope. You know what you have to do, where to go and how to do it as fast and interesting as possible. I love it

Thank you for providing, what I believe, is a very CRUCIUAL video genre to RUclips. I believe you're the only person on RUclips that makes these style of videos that I like to call Speedthru's. It it's a speed walkthrough that isn't about beating a time, but still using optimised strats you'd see in a speedrun with explaination commentary, all without skipping the experience of the story. I haven't seen anyone else do this but you, and PLEASE continue to do this. Speedthru's is literally how I want to watch games that I don't intend to play myself.
I also like how Hunnigan casually says 'we've lost contact with the rescue helicopter. I'll send you another one' like it's a lost package or something lol. These characters have gotten so used to the shit that happens in this universe that they just take it in their stride and I love it!
The amount of hard work that Carci constantly puts into these challenges is incredible. Props to you Carci, everyone should definitely watch him stream and see these challenges in progress.
Have played this game for years... and never noticed the fact that Ashley pumps her fist when you get a kill, didn't notice it until the tramway section when she is directly behind you either. Those little details.

The animation shows him holding up a large ear piece to attach to his ear (it’s 2004 so this technology would be quite a prototype version for a handheld device) The phone in the speaking cutscene is one he holds in both hands to speak - hence the video feed and microphone on the left side. There’s also 2 folds on the video-calling phone; further backing this.

The sewer where they were introduced is arguably the only place where they can be seen as fair. The Ballroom Hive and Underground Hive however...both of those just suck and bring the game down so much

At 2:25:49, this game is brilliant, because you go from multitasking by killing several priest at once, to being patient enough to kill stealthy insects. It’s difficult adapt to new enemies in a short amount of time. This is what keeps the game interesting, and it prevents you from becoming bored by constantly throwing new enemies at you.

Hey Carci. I'm not usually one to comment on videos, but I did want to remark: Massive thanks for leaving in the cutscenes and sticking to your guns when prompted to remove them from videos. I like RE games but I rarely have time to get into them and these no damage runs are like movie time to me (with the added bonus of your commentary making me laugh). For Carci and a few others, I love hearing the commentary as it's cool to hear the info I never knew and the funny parts. For others though, the RUclipsrs either scream all the time or they talk so much (seriously, take a breath!) it gets annoying. Well, to me anyway, for others, it's for them.
Some people like no commentary since sometimes someone commentating on a game like this will take away from the unsettling atmosphere and vibes that it is supposed to give you. :)

After really getting into RE at around 7 or 8 when my brain actually had functioning capabilities, I picked up RE3 and just last month picked up RE4 on ps plus, it’s amazing to see how far this series has come and getting to experience something I couldn’t when I was younger was awesome as hell, and I have carci to thank for it because this run really made me curious

Watching you play these games and learning from you is always such a blast. First time I started playing the Resident Evil games, I always went to you and watched and observed you and it made me much more confident in playing horror games.

I’ve played Resident Evil 4 often since it came out for the the GameCube, I adore this game. And still this video had me going “oh damn, I didn’t know that was there” or “huh, I don’t know how I never figured out that strategy.” Awesome stuff.
My eyes popped out of my head when you picked Normal outfit for a Professional difficulty playthrough. I'm impressed, I'd never, I'm already trying to get through the game once on normal so I can get to unlocking the Ashley armor as soon as possible 😂
No shame when this game first came out on GC I played with an Action Replay lol, I beat pro on PC with ashley armor say two years ago, and just this week I beat it on pro with no armor. Enjoy the game at your own pace but remember on Pro reset is your friend.
@@justinbailey2347 thank you :) Pro has been way harder than I expected and I can't quite place what the differences are. Any time I get past a chapter section I'm like "haha! I survived!". But now I'm seriously stuck on the house part with Luis. I already get really stuck on that with normal mode too tho tbf. And now in professional mode I noticed one major difference is the squidhead guys can take me down in only two hits and they're genuinely scary enemies and its the worst 😅.
It's already amazing enough that carci did this whole run on professional with no damage but the commentary just made it ten times better. Amazing job man!
I found myself coming back to this video so many times during my playthrough of RE4. When I got stuck I’d watch how you get through a room.(I’m glad I learned about the rocket launcher) Anyway, awesome video. No commentary playthroughs can’t explain the mechanics like you do.

I've literally binged watched this all the way through, and I would have to say my favorite part is when you speak to yourself in the third person like "past Carci". And then whole rant about the the Novistadors. The sheer ire and anger with any of those sections is mutually felt.
The Novistadors, I feel, are a lot worse in speedruns and no damage runs. I've never had problems with them in casual play, if anything they're pretty scary at first , as most invisible enemies tend to be, but become trivial later on. But yeah, the whole glitchines probably makes them terrible in a no damage run, or a speedrun( this is not a speedrun) .

Your passion behind these no damage runs are such a sweet spot of peace (RE4, while not perfect as you said, was the first game I played ever, so it holds a place in my heart) and so thank you for this. You take care and keep at it. (it's also nostalgia Dino Crisis and Parasite Eve, like you got my fav. games on point, so cool!).
Hello. I had a mental breakdown once. Like a proper one you see in the movies, it was 2007 and I was locked up for 3 months in a mental hospital. Had a lot of smaller ones before and after that. I was 27 years old. I was violently abused by a neighbour between the ages 4 and 6. Here's the interesting thing, trauma is subjective. I volunteered with a drug and alcohol service for many years, I met people who's experiences were far worse than mine, and they were less traumatised, and the exact opposite and they were more traumatised. Whatever it is, even if it is nothing that has caused it, your pain is still valid. I want to let you know two things that I learned. The first is that the only help you can really ever get is from you. The only help that really means anything, anyway. You really are your own best friend. Can you think of a pet, or your best friend, or a boyfriend/girlfriend and think of how you treat them - when was the last time you were that nice to yourself? Look in the mirror and tell you that you love you, it feels a little silly, but it really helps. My second piece of advice is one of hope. It doesn't define you and it never will, unless you let it. I'm the Operations Director of a company. I walked out of that mental hospital in the summer of 2007 and I was homeless, a hopeless drunk, i took far too many pills and had a really bad self harm problem. But here I am, I spent a million dollars in the past 6 months - yeah i get that it isn't my money, but my point is that I worked hard and at the end of the day someone in the world trusts me to spend a million dollars of their money. Don't try to conquer Everest in one day. Do an Andy out of Shawshank...chip away every day with your little rock hammer. Quit soda one day. A few days later, give up alcohol, if you can't then just give up hard liquor. Quit smoking the next year. Year after that, start walking, year after that, start running. One day, and you won't notice until you're sat there with a quiet mind, as still as water, that you don't feel bad any more. And you'll smile. Because you were expecting it to feel like switch being flicked, but it wasn't like that. It was just one day, you felt good and you noticed. Because it had been forever since you felt good. I love you. I've no idea your message hit me so hard. Probably because Resi and Dino Crisis and that fucked up scene at the beginning of Parasite Eve with the weird fucking rats makes me nostalgic. Take care. I hope things got better. And if they didn't, I hope you know that you are the one in control of your own destiny. Peace out

I also found it laughably stupid that saddler would allow his forces to attempt to murder the one he wants to keep alive. I get it. They don't want leon. But with how close together ashley gets with him, through hitting one it would very likely have hit her too...thus ending saddler's plan. (notice when she's following and carci aims how she gets right up against leon. I'm sure I don't need to say the 2 reasons for that, although for this video one of them doesn't really apply.)

if there's one thing i can appreciate aside from the skill and dedication to the run, it's the frankness of your criticisms of the game. like, even now, people assert this is the best RE game even tho there's so many changes and differences between each entry and everyone in the fanbase being in it for so many different reasons that it seems kind of ridiculous to think this game is without flaws.
The assertion that re4 is the best re is a valid opinion because it's still the best selling. But I do agree with the game not being perfect and enjoyed the criticism.

I died around 11 times fighiting Krauser cuz I couldn't manage to cheese him with the knife like you did, but i eventually got it. I never realised that some enemies could clip through the map, this is one of my favourite games and I can understand your issues with the game. I have to say the knowledge you have of the game is insane. It was one of the few that I got all the trophies for on the PS4 which is something I rarely do. Also Human Revolution would be awesome to see, I really enjoyed that game and I am thinking of picking up the steam version.

At 2:25:49, this game is brilliant, because you go from multitasking by killing several priest at once, to being patient enough to kill stealthy insects. It’s difficult adapt to new enemies in a short amount of time. This is what keeps the game interesting, and it prevents you from becoming bored by constantly throwing new enemies at you.

Hey Carci. I'm not usually one to comment on videos, but I did want to remark: Massive thanks for leaving in the cutscenes and sticking to your guns when prompted to remove them from videos. I like RE games but I rarely have time to get into them and these no damage runs are like movie time to me (with the added bonus of your commentary making me laugh). I love the cutscenes and the way you handle them. So have some sound from the other side, the side that likes cutscenes. Thanks dude.

Generally I agree, but it takes no effort to make and some people prefer it. It's nice that people have the option.
For Carci and a few others, I love hearing the commentary as it's cool to hear the info I never knew and the funny parts. For others though, the RUclipsrs either scream all the time or they talk so much (seriously, take a breath!) it gets annoying. Well, to me anyway, for others, it's for them.
Some people like no commentary since sometimes someone commentating on a game like this will take away from the unsettling atmosphere and vibes that it is supposed to give you. :)

I’ve played Resident Evil 4 often since it came out for the the GameCube, I adore this game. And still this video had me going “oh damn, I didn’t know that was there” or “huh, I don’t know how I never figured out that strategy.” Awesome stuff.

My eyes popped out of my head when you picked Normal outfit for a Professional difficulty playthrough. I'm impressed, I'd never, I'm already trying to get through the game once on normal so I can get to unlocking the Ashley armor as soon as possible 😂
No shame when this game first came out on GC I played with an Action Replay lol, I beat pro on PC with ashley armor say two years ago, and just this week I beat it on pro with no armor. Enjoy the game at your own pace but remember on Pro reset is your friend.
@@justinbailey2347 thank you :) Pro has been way harder than I expected and I can't quite place what the differences are. Any time I get past a chapter section I'm like "haha! I survived!". But now I'm seriously stuck on the house part with Luis. I already get really stuck on that with normal mode too tho tbf. And now in professional mode I noticed one major difference is the squidhead guys can take me down in only two hits and they're genuinely scary enemies and its the worst 😅.

I found myself coming back to this video so many times during my playthrough of RE4. When I got stuck I’d watch how you get through a room.(I’m glad I learned about the rocket launcher) Anyway, awesome video. No commentary playthroughs can’t explain the mechanics like you do.

I've literally binged watched this all the way through, and I would have to say my favorite part is when you speak to yourself in the third person like "past Carci". And then whole rant about the the Novistadors. The sheer ire and anger with any of those sections is mutually felt.
The Novistadors, I feel, are a lot worse in speedruns and no damage runs. I've never had problems with them in casual play, if anything they're pretty scary at first , as most invisible enemies tend to be, but become trivial later on. But yeah, the whole glitchines probably makes them terrible in a no damage run, or a speedrun( this is not a speedrun) .

novis aren't as awful in no damage with practice, but they can fuck you up

Hello. I had a mental breakdown once. Like a proper one you see in the movies, it was 2007 and I was locked up for 3 months in a mental hospital. Had a lot of smaller ones before and after that. I was 27 years old.
I was violently abused by a neighbour between the ages 4 and 6.
Here's the interesting thing, trauma is subjective. I volunteered with a drug and alcohol service for many years, I met people who's experiences were far worse than mine, and they were less traumatised, and the exact opposite and they were more traumatised. Whatever it is, even if it is nothing that has caused it, your pain is still valid.
I want to let you know two things that I learned. The first is that the only help you can really ever get is from you. The only help that really means anything, anyway. You really are your own best friend. Can you think of a pet, or your best friend, or a boyfriend/girlfriend and think of how you treat them - when was the last time you were that nice to yourself? Look in the mirror and tell you that you love you, it feels a little silly, but it really helps.
My second piece of advice is one of hope. It doesn't define you and it never will, unless you let it.
I'm the Operations Director of a company. I walked out of that mental hospital in the summer of 2007 and I was homeless, a hopeless drunk, i took far too many pills and had a really bad self harm problem. But here I am, I spent a million dollars in the past 6 months - yeah i get that it isn't my money, but my point is that I worked hard and at the end of the day someone in the world trusts me to spend a million dollars of their money.
Don't try to conquer Everest in one day. Do an Andy out of Shawshank...chip away every day with your little rock hammer.
Quit soda one day. A few days later, give up alcohol, if you can't then just give up hard liquor. Quit smoking the next year. Year after that, start walking, year after that, start running. One day, and you won't notice until you're sat there with a quiet mind, as still as water, that you don't feel bad any more. And you'll smile. Because you were expecting it to feel like switch being flicked, but it wasn't like that. It was just one day, you felt good and you noticed. Because it had been forever since you felt good.
I love you. I've no idea your message hit me so hard. Probably because Resi and Dino Crisis and that fucked up scene at the beginning of Parasite Eve with the weird fucking rats makes me nostalgic.
Take care. I hope things got better. And if they didn't, I hope you know that you are the one in control of your own destiny.

if there's one thing i can appreciate aside from the skill and dedication to the run, it's the frankness of your criticisms of the game. like, even now, people assert this is the best RE game even tho there's so many changes and differences between each entry and everyone in the fanbase being in it for so many different reasons that it seems kind of ridiculous to think this game is without flaws.
The assertion that re4 is the best re is a valid opinion because it's still the best selling. But I do agree with the game not being perfect and enjoyed the criticism.

Your a Legend Carni, I just want to say the past 8 months of my life have been the worst I've had so far, my mom was pronounced with Stage 4 Lung Cancer, after her Surgery,they told her they got 95% of the cancer from her body and then coming to find out the punctured are lung while they were operating on her, which caused an air socket, so every time the air socket pause her lungs will some what collapse, I've been non stop 24 hours of the day I even go to sleep watching you videos brother , thanks for being such a Legend in the Gaming Community also A God of The GDQ Community, much love from the 423 brother and yet again thank you from the bottom of my ❤️ thru getting me thru these times and I also didn't throw in there while my mom was in the hospital for a month and half the first time we didn't get to see her at all because of Covid, 2nd time she was in the got 2 months and 10 days didn't get to see her at all them either, and since my mom has been home she has been doing WAYYYYYYY better, and my mom loves watching your videoss with Me too she loves your RE 4, 5 100% playthrough with no damage if you are to see this message and response back you would make my whole year of 2020 same for my mom's we are your biggest fans man we have been fans since 2013-2014 but much love from me and my mom we love you man❤️💪🏼🙏

I managed to beat it in 13 hours and 43 deaths, which I know is a lot. I died around 11 times fighiting Krauser cuz I couldn't manage to cheese him with the knife like you did, but i eventually got it.

I like the way the girl raises her fist in the air, when you successfully execute someone.

I never realised that some enemies could clip through the map, this is one of my favourite games and I can understand your issues with the game. I have to say the knowledge you have of the game is insane. It was one of the few that I got all the trophies for on the PS4 which is something I rarely do.
Also Human Revolution would be awesome to see, I really enjoyed that game and I am thinking of picking up the steam version.
