He didn't faught Jack, Mia or Marguerite. He was with Lucas from the beggining. But in one DLC he faught with Marguerite puzzle room tho. But not with Jack

Then, it just feels weird to play at normal speed again afterward, like that the gameplay is too slow or awkward otherwise

I thought Ethan had less personality, also had many weapons and less difficulty. Clancy had to use his head more, against Lucas and against Marguerite had no weapons at all. Only when he got in the basement which he basically almost emptied for Ethan did he get something to fight with and boy you had to work for it. Everything was more difficult for Clancy. And he only died when Lucas literally rigged everything with no way to win or survive. Ethan only survived because he got the solution from the birthday room from Clancy and could cheat to win. But it's just my opinion. I thought he kicked ass and liked him better. Maybe you didn't play all Clancy's dlc maybe we just have different opinions. That's fine too, greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪 😃

I just wanted the RE7 fam know, that I finally beat the game in Madhouse. Poor Ethan died 59 times, but I played until I finished. Thank you for all the chemical mixing advice (came in very handy for Jack III). **The highlight of the run was that I ran out of ammo in Marguerite II, but then she fell on me so I kinda took the circular saw and ran it in her ahhhh, her ahhhhhh, the weak spot!**

This is why I lean towards the theory that Ethan isn't just an average guy. I think he's an operative of some kind. Maybe Ex-Umbrella? He knows how to use all these firearms the minute he picks them up and can make first aid mixing chemicals and herbs. But even secret badasses have phobias. Like bugs. Lol.

Just now seeing this video, it is so informative. This is probably the single best video I've ever seen for doing a game on the hardest difficulty. Its not just a do what I do thing, you literally break it all down and explain how it works and best choices. It was incredible to see! Thanks for this. I just started Madhouse and wasn’t confident I could do it so watched your video, thanks for all the comments explaining how things work. I got past Mia after a couple of tries (ran out of bullets so had to use the axe at the end lol). Jack took a few goes in the initial scene as I had trouble triggering him coming through the wall and then escaping from him but got it on my third go. Need to calm down a bit before I continue, my hands are shaking lol
Just in case you are still stuck. I used to think Mia was hard, but when you learn mechanics it's simple. You'll want to bait her into charge attacking you; then block and stun her, get two headshots in, then loop around her and repeate.

Man, seeing this brings back memories. It's only been three years, but this was the game that made me exciting to play games again. I finished this so many times and watched multiple playthroughs. Also, Eveline asking why everyone hates her hurt like hell. She pisses me off, but I have more hate for the people who thought it was a good idea to create her.
I’m usually not into horror video games. But when I watched Markiplier play it, I got extremely invested. Now I have it and it’s maybe one of the best games I’ve ever played

i accidentally glitched the game so after i broke the chainsaw cutting through the metal bar to open the door ethan fucking pulled out another chainsaw so now i still have the chainsaw even up to where i need to get the 2 keycards for the lucas puzzle

Also it wouldn't be a bad idea to run away with Mia using the same way he found her. Instead he follows his wife, who is visibly not well, deeper into the abuser's house.
This is just my headcanon, but it's completely possible in my opinion that Ethan is a member of Umbrella. He has the knowledge to use all of these firearms that he finds with great ease, he knows how to make the medpacks out of the random ingredients that he finds, knows how to make ammunition for various weapons and responds to infected with relative readiness. So to me, him not calling the local authorities might indicate that he also knew about Nia's involvement with the project and didn't want to put her at risk.

Just now seeing this video, it is so informative. This is probably the single best video I've ever seen for doing a game on the hardest difficulty. Its not just a do what I do thing, you literally break it all down and explain how it works and best choices. It was incredible to see! Thanks for this. I just started Madhouse and wasn’t confident I could do it so watched your video, thanks for all the comments explaining how things work. I got past Mia after a couple of tries (ran out of bullets so had to use the axe at the end lol). Jack took a few goes in the initial scene as I had trouble triggering him coming through the wall and then escaping from him but got it on my third go. Need to calm down a bit before I continue, my hands are shaking lol

Just in case you are still stuck. I used to think Mia was hard, but when you learn mechanics it's simple. You'll want to bait her into charge attacking you; then block and stun her, get two headshots in, then loop around her and repeate.

i accidentally glitched the game so after i broke the chainsaw cutting through the metal bar to open the door ethan fucking pulled out another chainsaw so now i still have the chainsaw even up to where i need to get the 2 keycards for the lucas puzzle

Also it wouldn't be a bad idea to run away with Mia using the same way he found her. Instead he follows his wife, who is visibly not well, deeper into the abuser's house.
This is just my headcanon, but it's completely possible in my opinion that Ethan is a member of Umbrella. He has the knowledge to use all of these firearms that he finds with great ease, he knows how to make the medpacks out of the random ingredients that he finds, knows how to make ammunition for various weapons and responds to infected with relative readiness.
So to me, him not calling the local authorities might indicate that he also knew about Nia's involvement with the project and didn't want to put her at risk.
