Both stories are at the same time, but RE3's events begin before RE2's, but RE3 ends a few hours after RE2.

I followed as he showed and I'm stacked at the Birkin's final fight. I wouldn't came this far if wasn't this playthrough. My respects to this guy. He's so relaxed and bew bew in their faces. I almost died 3x in very far of my progress, but got lucky all the time. I just have to thank him and try my best now on to complete this nightmare.

Kendo's story breaks my heart, he deserved a better ending. He created one of the most iconic handguns from all video game's history and he lost his family in a horrifying way and then bit a bullet... that's not fair. Yet, I still find a little bit of satisfaction in the fact his creation helped people far beyond Raccoon city. Through Chris Redfield, he allowed Ethan Winters to go back home with his wife and start a family, even if it was for a brief period of time. F for Kendo.

We only know of a handful of Samurai Edges that are still out there. From the bravo team, all of them were lost in the Arklay mountains except for Rebecca Chamber's. Although she retired from the police and pursued a career in medicine, so we don't know if she kept hers when she left Raccoon city. From Alpha team we know Frost's gun was lost in the Spencer's mansion. We don't know if Werker kept his, so we're left with Jill's, Chris' and Barry's. Brad Vikers died so his gun was probably lost in Raccoon city's nuke. From the three remaining guns, Jill lost hers in a confrontation with Wesker, so there's only two left. Imagine all the action that Chris' gun has seen, all the places it has been, and all the B.O.W. it has slayed. It must has been a long way to the hands of Ethan, that's why it's so special. Some artisan in a city that no longer exists created a weapon that has gone to hell and back, and thanks to that weapon Ethan defeated Evelyn.
Huuuuge props to you. Every time you got hit/bitten you had to end it, and start a new game. This seems especially hard considering how difficult it is to dodge attacks from Super Tyrant.
Man I still feel like I have PTSD from my first couple playthroughs on normal difficulty and they both took me over 10 hours to complete. It was so nice to watch an expert skate through all these terrifying parts of the game. Great walkthrough and commentary all around! 👍

This is the first ever RE game my bf has ever played, so far it’s took him 11 hours to reach the alligator. He’s died so many times. He’s going to get the lowest rating possible.

I've done this on all difficulties now (with your help) and I feel the only difference between standard and hardcore is the inventory management, enemies don't feel at all tougher! My favourite RE of all time. Thanks Carci!
I find it a bit ridiculous people complaining about knife strats, the knife is still the highest dps weapon in the game (minus the infinite endgame weapons) even on 60 fps
@@sirdogith3783 you're right, I still can't get some strats consistently (like running past certain G-Adults in Sewers) so alternate routes are appreciated. But for the 1st Birkin Fight: 14 knife slashes, 1 grenade, 14 slashes again, then flash, then another 14 slashes and finish off 2-3 handgun bullets still works even on Hardcore. But pretty much knife strats still work on 60 fps if people tried it.
I'm here as a 29 year old, I watched my dad play 1 & 2, then I picked up 3 at about 7 years old & never turned back 😊 it has been funny watching all the trivial fuss over the years. Like when RE5 was in Game Informer, then I started hearing about some b.s. about it. Then people griped about 6. I never listened to any of it, & I loved every single RE game I've ever played, in their own ways.

1:27:46 I've learned that it's possible to avoid triggering Marvin to be an active zombie. When you're coming up from under the statue, make sure you hug either wall and point your camera away from him. He seems to especially activate when you focus the camera on him
Ive been practicing this strat for about a week and im proud to say I finally made my first hardcore s+ play through without saves or any hits, thank you grandmaster carcinogen
@@CarcinogenSDA it wasnt easy for sure but the hardest part for me was berkin stage one which was humiliating, I would whiff a bullet by a hair every few shots and he would grab me through a pipe and the camera would be freaking out, but it was a fun experience nonetheless, mr x almost gave it to me in the jail too aha
yeah sorry for my incorrect spelling on birkin aha, its not a bad strat with practice its easier to replicate his actions to some degree, its honestly baiting the attacks by aiming that seals most of your success in the fight, g2 was a cake walk with the strat first try, g3 i had a few wrong moves on my part but got it down, grenade timings took me a few hours trying to get it down
I never really considered the magnum meta up until this strat and it manhandles g3 faster than anything else besides the knife. It looks like the setups can actually be done consistently and it’s definitely worth the extra couple of minutes in the RPD. Clean as all hell carci way to bukkake my runs with extra strats
to be fair i wrote it off until i realized i needed extra grenades for Super Tyrant and I realized I could skip the extra 5 minutes it took to get the weapon locker sidepack. i wrote it off mainly because of my experience with it in my first No Damage, but you can still go for RPD3 and be out in 5 minutes.
I did as well because my times aren’t the best and I’m usually at an abysmal 1:45 but it shaved off the time for certain areas and evens itself out with practice so I’m definitely adding it to my but figuring out a g3 manipulation is +50 to big brain plays good stuff carci

Hell ya just finished time for Claire cant wait to play all the scenarios in order. Thank you for the guide, tips, and commentary. Also took me like 7 hours 26 saves and a B ranking. Now that i know what to expect i should be running claire a in 4 hours or 7 and a half becasue of exploring and looking at every detail taking mental notes and such it wa the most enjoyable play though of a game i have had honestly since RE 4 because of exploring and looking at stuff and of course collecting way more items in my item box then i need at all. I just cant wait to master the games like i did with the OG 2 i didnt need a guid or walkthruogh i just played like my eyese were shut i beat RE2 and 4 and probably 5 more times than you should be allowed to. 4 and 5 were addicting because of the weapon upgrading especially 4. 4 changed my life in video games it showed me a nw side of things and that new isnt always bad. I feel like 4 was heavily the model of what they wanted out of 2 and i think they did a great job. I just hope 3 isnt bs and ruined and its just like 2 but the story of 3.

You literally had to memorize the games actual coding, plus every lock combination and what pattern to hit everything in. Dude with that kind of comprehension and intelligence you could be one heck of a mechanic, or pilot, or air traffic controller, the list goes on. Guinness is a bad book and an even worse beer. I know people who got into Guinness, and it did fuck all. You have to pay to get in if they don't just scrape your number off a site that is actually accredited. Did I mention how Guinness is just a book of numbers with no real substantive content?

Oh my gosh thank you for showing magnum strats. Im gonna start over to try and unlock the rocket launcher. I need that magnum for the sewer. I have the HARDEST time dealing with the friggin Adult Gs. I can't dodge them efficiently. I can't kill them without wasting a billion shots. I just suck in general against them. They always seem to do everything differently than people on youtube.
Did you try the 2 grenades method in his PS4 S+ run? I found it worked decently well. Though i admit i do prefer the magnum due to being a cooler gun,.
I may be wrong, but can't you unlock all the infinite weapons with an s+ on standard? Not as cool as saying you did it on hardcore but if you're just after the rewards then that be easier

you could either defence use grenades or shoot them while they are submerged underwater, wait for them to pop out and run past, the timing is a bit tight however
I’m a fan. Played the original all those years ago and was hooked. I’m hooked all over again but what I have in enthusiasm doesn’t translate into skill. As a very casual console gamer I’m stuck on hardcore mode. I generally get my ass handed to me on the first boss fight then start over.

The licker from Maiden statue is so random, hugging to the left didn't help, he didn't bother to jump at all, he just swiped me in face. Managed to crawl back to library only because he lost interest. I might start the game later, save before doing the puzzle and keep trying a couple of times to see how he reacts.
It’s not the best strat in the world, but I’ve always kept a flash for that room only because the licker is nuts. I just grab maiden pre aim and walk past the bars and as soon as he drops throw it into him aiming for the middle of his body. The reason for this is that I also sometimes don’t kill the hanging zombie and if you aim it in his center you can flash them both. The timing is kind of a bitch and it uses up a flash but it’s the only way I’ve gone through that area consistently
Played that fragment a couple of times, his behaviour is completely random to me. He can jump like in the video, he can stand in place and then swipe you, he can do nothing and then turn around to swipe your back or swipe in general direction and miss.

The Samurai Edge is super pog, you can learn where every shot will land if you test it's recoil on a wall. So worth it trying for a S if you want it 😁

Yeah first time playing for me Leon A route 11 hours then Claire b route 8-9 ish hours then. Claire route A 2 hours 15 minutes .... I had a guide.

I've done this on all difficulties now (with your help) and I feel the only difference between standard and hardcore is the inventory management, enemies don't feel at all tougher! My favourite RE of all time. Thanks Carci!
they def take less bullets but the layout is precisely the same
I find it a bit ridiculous people complaining about knife strats, the knife is still the highest dps weapon in the game (minus the infinite endgame weapons) even on 60 fps
I can agree complaining is a bit much
But a video showcasing alternate strats I can't complain about really.
@@sirdogith3783 you're right, I still can't get some strats consistently (like running past certain G-Adults in Sewers) so alternate routes are appreciated. But for the 1st Birkin Fight: 14 knife slashes, 1 grenade, 14 slashes again, then flash, then another 14 slashes and finish off 2-3 handgun bullets still works even on Hardcore. But pretty much knife strats still work on 60 fps if people tried it.

I'm here as a 29 year old, I watched my dad play 1 & 2, then I picked up 3 at about 7 years old & never turned back 😊 it has been funny watching all the trivial fuss over the years. Like when RE5 was in Game Informer, then I started hearing about some b.s. about it. Then people griped about 6. I never listened to any of it, & I loved every single RE game I've ever played, in their own ways.

1:27:46 I've learned that it's possible to avoid triggering Marvin to be an active zombie. When you're coming up from under the statue, make sure you hug either wall and point your camera away from him. He seems to especially activate when you focus the camera on him

@@CarcinogenSDA it wasnt easy for sure but the hardest part for me was berkin stage one which was humiliating, I would whiff a bullet by a hair every few shots and he would grab me through a pipe and the camera would be freaking out, but it was a fun experience nonetheless, mr x almost gave it to me in the jail too aha

yeah sorry for my incorrect spelling on birkin aha, its not a bad strat with practice its easier to replicate his actions to some degree, its honestly baiting the attacks by aiming that seals most of your success in the fight, g2 was a cake walk with the strat first try, g3 i had a few wrong moves on my part but got it down, grenade timings took me a few hours trying to get it down
The new g3 strat looks insanely clean, you absolute mad lad carci
i think i got lucky, but when i figured out i could manip a jump by spacing i was freaking out
I never really considered the magnum meta up until this strat and it manhandles g3 faster than anything else besides the knife. It looks like the setups can actually be done consistently and it’s definitely worth the extra couple of minutes in the RPD. Clean as all hell carci way to bukkake my runs with extra strats
to be fair i wrote it off until i realized i needed extra grenades for Super Tyrant and I realized I could skip the extra 5 minutes it took to get the weapon locker sidepack. i wrote it off mainly because of my experience with it in my first No Damage, but you can still go for RPD3 and be out in 5 minutes.
I did as well because my times aren’t the best and I’m usually at an abysmal 1:45 but it shaved off the time for certain areas and evens itself out with practice so I’m definitely adding it to my but figuring out a g3 manipulation is +50 to big brain plays good stuff carci

Hell ya just finished time for Claire cant wait to play all the scenarios in order. Thank you for the guide, tips, and commentary. Also took me like 7 hours 26 saves and a B ranking. Now that i know what to expect i should be running claire a in 4 hours or 7 and a half becasue of exploring and looking at every detail taking mental notes and such it wa the most enjoyable play though of a game i have had honestly since RE 4 because of exploring and looking at stuff and of course collecting way more items in my item box then i need at all. I just cant wait to master the games like i did with the OG 2 i didnt need a guid or walkthruogh i just played like my eyese were shut i beat RE2 and 4 and probably 5 more times than you should be allowed to. 4 and 5 were addicting because of the weapon upgrading especially 4. 4 changed my life in video games it showed me a nw side of things and that new isnt always bad. I feel like 4 was heavily the model of what they wanted out of 2 and i think they did a great job. I just hope 3 isnt bs and ruined and its just like 2 but the story of 3.

You literally had to memorize the games actual coding, plus every lock combination and what pattern to hit everything in. Dude with that kind of comprehension and intelligence you could be one heck of a mechanic, or pilot, or air traffic controller, the list goes on. It’s like watching a supernatural ability on these play throughs

Oh my gosh thank you for showing magnum strats. Im gonna start over to try and unlock the rocket launcher. I need that magnum for the sewer. I have the HARDEST time dealing with the friggin Adult Gs. I can't dodge them efficiently. I can't kill them without wasting a billion shots. I just suck in general against them. They always seem to do everything differently than people on youtube.

I may be wrong, but can't you unlock all the infinite weapons with an s+ on standard? Not as cool as saying you did it on hardcore but if you're just after the rewards then that be easier
Jurassic Titan The infinite MP5 is S rank Hardcore only, infinite rocket launcher and mini gun are S+ hardcore only, launcher for Leon S+, and Minigun for Claire S+.
you could either defence use grenades or shoot them while they are submerged underwater, wait for them to pop out and run past, the timing is a bit tight however

I’m a fan. Played the original all those years ago and was hooked. I’m hooked all over again but what I have in enthusiasm doesn’t translate into skill. As a very casual console gamer I’m stuck on hardcore mode. I generally get my ass handed to me on the first boss fight then start over.

The licker from Maiden statue is so random, hugging to the left didn't help, he didn't bother to jump at all, he just swiped me in face. Managed to crawl back to library only because he lost interest. I might start the game later, save before doing the puzzle and keep trying a couple of times to see how he reacts.
don’t feel pressured to get No Damage if you cannot avoid it, i have no idea why it doesn’t work yet.
It’s not the best strat in the world, but I’ve always kept a flash for that room only because the licker is nuts. I just grab maiden pre aim and walk past the bars and as soon as he drops throw it into him aiming for the middle of his body. The reason for this is that I also sometimes don’t kill the hanging zombie and if you aim it in his center you can flash them both. The timing is kind of a bitch and it uses up a flash but it’s the only way I’ve gone through that area consistently
i’d use a flash JUST for that licker if I had a flash grenade to spare.
Yeah that's one licker that I really think is kind of cheap. I don't think you can actually sneak past him, as he attacked me as soon as I got close.
Played that fragment a couple of times, his behaviour is completely random to me. He can jump like in the video, he can stand in place and then swipe you, he can do nothing and then turn around to swipe your back or swipe in general direction and miss.
