Main reason why I love the Resident Evil so much is because of Leon.
The main reason Capcom couldn't kill him in Code veronica..... the old re4 build......4.........6........ In every first draft he was written to be dead by the author but Capcom was like Nah, we need $$$ fuck you. xD

I like how he commented on the Leon being mad about the alligator. I thought the same thing as the runner. You have encountered Mr. X, dogs, lickers, (and crows in the original), but reptiles are a big NO.

SSJvegito501 To be fair, the zombie dogs aren’t too different from normal rabid dogs, Mr. X looks like he could’ve once been human and the licker doesn’t look like it was ever anything normal. Also, the alligator turned gigantic.
No crows in the remake. Lickers are human. Mr.X was human. Dogs are the only thing he experienced that aren't human, and they're mammals like humans. Stop trying to make a point.
Lol, the developers reacted to a run by Hazeblade a few months later where he did it in 49 minutes.
That's exactly how I like to know about the history of Tofu: with zombies' high pitch screams and a mad guitar solo in the background.

Some people just have the talent of being a good public speaker/explainer, and Hazeblade is definitely one of those.
I love watching RE speed runs because they get half way through the game when it takes me the same amount of time to finish one area.

The knife of RE4 seems pretty fine too, at least it helped me quite a bit during my first playthrough.
That’s the first Resident Evil where it’s weak, but useful aka balanced. In the classic games it was almost unusable in how weak it is. In code veronica it was legitimately broken in that the knife can out damage some guns by a LOT if used correctly. And now in REmake 2 it’s even more broken haha.
Never ever tried a speed run never wanted to but I absolutely loved this, shout out to the 4 guys keeping it entertaining
I want to finish this game so bad but i get such anxiety playing it...this guy knows all the tricks and routes to the game and I'm still tensing up watching him run through the tight areas lol

At 13:04 knife is also OP in RE4. i have done RE4 speedrun. and also cleared that game with every single handgun so i had to use knife a lot of time. i even completed RE4 separate ways with knife so RE4 knife is also OP.

RE2 remake speedruns is Leon A or Clair A/B but rarely Leon B... Why that ?
Some parts in the game are much more annoying to run through on Leon B.
This is the same reason no one runs Castlevania Order of Ecclesia coz its annoying and frustrating to speedrun

Probably because it is way more harder than the other runs so there's a great chance you might mess up which is quite embarrassing for a live event.

licker detection is based on sound, either shooting or running, by walking up a certain distance he got close enough to the corner that when he started sprinting, it detects him and leaps but he's in a specific "dead zone" where its attack misses.
